REVIEW: GHOST OF A CHANCE by Katherine Garbera is a stand alone, contemporary, adult, spicy, paranormal romance story line focusing on thirty year old, mystery author Kirsty Henson, and twenty-six year old, producer Jasper Cotton.

Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Kirsty and Jasper) GHOST OF A CHANCE follows paranormal mystery writer Kirsty Henson in the wake of a one-night stand. Kirsty doesn’t do relationships, and never expected to come face to face with her one-night, a man who believes our heroine can talk to the dead. Desperate to rid himself of a spirit he believes has been haunting him for close to five years, Jasper begs Kirsty to uncover the truth, a truth that becomes more personal as the weeks move on.

The world building focuses on the Kirsty’s need to talk to the dead. She claimed to be able to contact the spirits but as time passes, her abilities get stronger as more secrets are revealed.

The relationship between Kirsty and Jasper begins as a one-night stand, and with their reconnection turns into something more even as our couple continue to butt heads. Jasper is determined to rid himself of his college roommate’s ghost, a ghost who apparently likes Judge Judy, but all is not as it appears to be as Kirsty and Jasper begin to search for the truth. As Kirsty struggles with the lies she has told, the spirits begins to talk to our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are passionate but limited.

We are introduced to Kirsty’s team including publicist Gia Spring, cameraman Dan, as well as Victor, and Jasper’s mother Tina.

GHOST OF A CHANCE is a story of family and friendships, acceptance and love, loss and grief. The character driven premise is enchanting and entertaining; the romance is seductive; the characters are desperate and lively.
