Review:

Gray Wolf Mate by Dianna Love is the first book in her new League Of Gallize Shifters series.  I was very excited when I found out that Dianna Love was doing a new series revolving around shifters, and I always enjoy whatever Dianna creates for us.   Upon finishing Gray Wolf Mate, I am happy to say that I loved it.

Cole Cavanaugh is a wolf shifter who works for an elite group of shifters called Gallize, who are run by an ancient and powerful shifter, and they are the good guys, who secretly protect humans from the bad shifter groups.  Shifters became known  8 years ago, when a jackal shifter exposed them, causing them to be constantly watched, especially with some other shifter groups at war with each other.

Cole is on assignment to stop a shipment of a lethal drug, as well as to find his missing friend and member of his team. When he tries to save an elderly homeless woman, Cole realizes he has walked into a trap, and the warehouse explodes.

Tess Janver, our heroine, works for SCIS ( preternatural criminal investigation unit) , who monitor and investigate issues with shifters.   7 years ago, Tess and Cole were college lovers, but one night he disappeared and she never saw him again. Tess does not recognize the badly damaged shifter in the hospital, who unbeknownst to her is in danger from other shifters who want to kill him

This is an exciting, action packed adventure that will have Tess question her knowledge of shifters, and how her Senator father was determined to have them all under confinement; and her shock on discovering that the injured man was Cole. Can Tess forgive or even trust Cole, especially since he is now a shifter?

Tess and Cole can feel the electrical attraction between them is still alive and even stronger. Cole and his wolf can identify that Tess is their mate, but Cole does not want this life for her. A slow built romance begins to sizzle, with both knowing their love is real, but can there be any future?  The jackal shifters, and the Black River pack are determined kill the Gallize shifters, which will also put Tess and Cole’s life in danger.

What follows is an exciting action packed story, but I do not want to give any spoilers, as saying too much more would ruin it for you.  The last half of the book was great, especially as we raced to the wild climatic ending;  it was an edge of your seat suspense that had us holding our breaths to find out if they would survive.  I loved Cole and Tess together, as well as Cole’s team members, who we will learn more about in future books.

As always, Dianna Love once again gives us another wonderful series for us to savor and enjoy. Gray Wolf Mate was a fun, exciting adventure; great sexy couple, wonderful secondary characters, and bad villains.  I cannot wait for the next book. I strongly suggest you start with Gray Wolf Mate and enjoy the ride.
