ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 31, 2025

Hockey’s most hated player just asked me to marry him.

Connor Grace is the league’s bad boy–and my best friend’s worst enemy. He’s the fallen prince of a famous hotel chain dynasty. Me? I’m the foster kid who grew up to be a librarian.

I never thought I’d end up in a marriage of convenience to make someone’s grandma happy, but here we are.

I have no plans to kiss my husband for any reason other than show.I have no plans to fall in love with the arrogant man dressed in a custom suit hiding intricate tattoos.

But when we’re alone, he drops the mask he wears for the rest of the world. He holds me like he means it when he says I’m his. And I want to believe him.

Too bad I learned early on that fairytales aren’t real, and nothing good lasts forever.

REVIEW:IF YOU CLAIM ME is the fifth instalment in Helena Hunting’s contemporary, adult TORONTO TERROR erotic, hockey romance series . This is professional hockey player and enforcer Connor Grace, and librarian Mildred ‘Dred’ Reformer’s story line. IF YOU CLAIM ME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Connor and Mildred) IF YOU CLAIM ME focuses on the marriage of convenience between our story line couple. Mildred is about to lose her home, her late grandmother’s apartment, in the wake of a five year accounting error but Mildred never expected her savior in the guise of Toronto Terror enforcer and all around grump Connor Grace, the man with whom Mildred will fall in love. Connor knows Mildred is his Meems’ favorite librarian, and in this, offering a marriage of convenience will not only help Mildred but make Connor’s grandmother happy in the process.

The world building focuses on the relationship between Connor and Mildred, as well as the dysfunctional family dynamics of the wealthy and snobby Grace family. Having make their money in the hotel business, the Graces believe themselves to be better than everyone else but when Connor announces his engagement to our story line heroine, Mildred will become the target of accusations, name calling, and deep seated vitriol.

The relationship between Connor and Mildred begins as enemies to frenemies to a marriage of convenience in which Connor has contracted Mildred to be his wife but Mildred never expected to fall in love ,or have her heart torn apart by the man who believes he is unworthy of love. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic, and familiar secondary and supporting characters including Connor’s teammate and Mildred’s best friend Flip Madden. We are introduced to Connor’s parents Duncan and Courtney Grace; his sisters Isabelle and Portia, and their grandmother Lucy ‘Meems’ Grace.

IF YOU CLAIM ME is a story of power and control, secrets and lies, dysfunctional family dynamics, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is heart breaking and edgy; the romance is emotional; the characters are desperate and determined.
