ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date May 1, 2025
It didn’t take long for news to spread that Tagger Grange was back in Peachtree Pass. I found out even faster when I fell right into his arms—not by choice.
The barstool wobbled under me when reaching for a cheddar biscuit. They’re my weakness. Much like he used to be.
Rolled up sleeves and tailored pants have replaced the boots and jeans my brother’s best friend once wore. But it’s not just the clothes that have changed. His shoulders are broader and he’s broodier. Somehow, he’s even more handsome than ever.
And seeing the little boy smiling at his side? My heart instantly melts. I can’t handle Tagger as a hot single dad.
Since he has no plans to stay, I know it’s best to avoid him. But daily run-ins at Rollingwood Ranch make him hard to ignore, and even harder to walk away.
His heated glances warm my insides, his smile awakens my dormant heart, and one stormy night leads to crossing lines we vowed we wouldn’t.
But when falling in the hay turns into falling in love, I start to wonder if our happy ending is a long time coming. Or will he return to the city leaving me with a broken heart?

REVIEW:
“Long Time Coming” by SL Scott is a tale that combines the elements of small town charm, forbidden love, and family loyalty. The story pulls us into the heart of Peachtree Pass, where emotions run high and connections are both powerful and perilous.
At the center of the story is Christine “Pris”, who struggles with her feelings for Tagger Grange, her brother’s best friend, upon his return to town. Their chemistry is electric right from the start, heated glances and lingering touches.
And when a night spent together in the hay leads to crossing the lines they both promised not to, we are taken on an emotional rollercoaster ride.
SL Scott’s writing is engaging, drawing us into the characters’ emotional journeys, she skillfully navigates the tension between the thrill of new love and the weight of obligation, creating a plot that kept me on the edge of me seat.
His dedication to his son makes him more than just a love interest, he’s a devoted father trying to find his place in both his son’s life and in Christine’s heart. Their interactions are tender and heartfelt, it’s definitely a slow burning romance.
The backdrop of Peachtree Pass is just where I’d like to live. The vivid descriptions definitely give us the small town feel.
The author’s ability to blend humor and heartfelt moments gives the story a perfect balance. The light-hearted banter between characters injects fun and warmth, while the steamy and emotional scenes serve to heighten the stakes, making the us root for their happy ending.
“Long Time Coming” is a delightful romantic read that hits all the sweet spots for fans of contemporary romance. With likeable characters, a charming small-town setting, and the excitement of forbidden love, this story hits all the right spots.
