REVIEW:LOVE BETRAYAL is the second instalment in Chantal Fernando’s contemporary, adult ANGELS AND DEVILS MC erotic, MC romance series. This is Devils MC VP and enforcer River Montanna, and property manager Bella Callisto’s story line. LOVE BETRAYAL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. River is Romeo’s cousin, and Bella is Juliet’s cousin (LOVE GRUDGE 1)

Told from dual first person perspectives (River and Bella) LOVE BETRAYAL follows several paths including the building romance and relationship between our story line couple. For close to one year, Bella and River have been in a relationship, a relationship that currently has no plans for a future but as Bella is pulled into the world that is our story line hero, Bella reconsiders the direction of their relationship, without a promise or the potential for a happily ever after. When Bella’s past returns seeking something from Bella she is unable to give, the Devils MC ferret out a possible betrayal, a betrayal that hits too close to home. What ensues is the building relationship between Bella and River,and the potential fall-out as the past refuses to let go, and the truth will push two people closer together.

The world building focuses on the dysfunctional family dynamics of two families: the Montannas and the Callistos. Years of secrets, lies and betrayals are about to culminate in welcome revelations as well as treachery at the heart of jealousy and retribution.

The relationship between River and Bella is one of immediate attraction but Bella has invested more of her heart than our story line hero. River struggles with his family history, and the possibility of becoming someone he never wants to become, as Bella reconsiders her future, going forward. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, familiar and energetic secondary and supporting characters including many of whom we met in the previous story line.We are introduced to Bella’s ex Mark, as well as the return of both Bella and River’s extended families.

LOVE BETRAYAL is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, jealousy and obsession, power and control, family and forgiveness, acceptance and love. The premise is dramatic and edgy; the romance is seductive; the characters are desperate, dynamic and daring.
