REVIEW:  MEMORIES OF A LIFE is the fourth instalment in Jewel E Ann’s contemporary, adult LIFE series, and the second book in Colten and Josie’s preternatural romance duet. This is thirty-five year olds, Detective Colten Mosley, and forensic pathologist Josie Watts second chance romance story line. MEMORIES OF A LIFE cannot be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events of book one PIECES OF A LIFE.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise including attempted suicide, and descriptions of murder and death, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Josie and Colten) using present day and memories from the past MEMORIES OF A LIFE picks up immediately after the events of book one in which our heroine, Josie Watts begins to have flashbacks and memories of someone else’s life. As Josie and Colten prepare for their upcoming nuptials, Josie’s thoughts and questionable memories begin to consume her life, a life that is now spiralling out of control. Unable to control the images, the memories and her need to act, Josie sets into motion a plan that is about to destroy everyone she has ever loved including our story line hero. What ensues is the fracturing and heart breaking relationship between Colten and Josie, and the fall-out as Josie makes a dangerous and life altering attempt to get rid of the thoughts and images consuming her mind.

MEMORIES OF A LIFE is a preternatural story of ‘reincarnation’; of memories of another life; of murder and mayhem, of suicide and survival. Jewel E Ann pulls the reader into a dramatic, intense and pulse-pounding story of love, of desperation, of life and second chances.
