ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date April 10, 2017
A new standalone from New York Times bestselling authors Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward.
I met Bianca in an elevator.
She was on her way to interview me when we got stuck.
The beautiful, raven-haired reporter assumed I was a delivery guy because of the way I was dressed.
She had no clue I was really Dex Truitt, the wealthy, successful businessman she’d dubbed “Mister Moneybags”—her afternoon appointment.
Bianca told me how much she hated Dex’s type—snobby, over educated, silver- spooned men who didn’t appreciate the simple things in life.
So, after the elevator finally started moving again, I cancelled the interview and let her believe I was someone I wasn’t—a bike messenger named Jay. I loved the way she looked at the fake me and didn’t want it to end.
I began dating her as “Jay”—all the while letting her interview the real me over email.
I didn’t expect that our chemistry online would be just as hot.
I didn’t expect the mess I’d gotten myself into.
I didn’t expect that Jay and Dex would fall in love with her.
And she was falling for two men.
Only, both men were me.
And when she found out, we were both going to lose her.
Nothing could have prepared me for that day. And I certainly wasn’t prepared for what came after.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

REVIEW: MISTER MONEYBAGS by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward is a stand alone, contemporary, adult romance story line focusing on wealthy businessman Dex Truitt, and journalist Bianca George.
Told from dual first person points of view (Dex and Bianca) MISTER MONEYBAGS follows the building relationship between journalist Bianca George and a man she knows as Jay. A dark elevator, an ongoing series of secrets and lies, and a mysterious businessman whose true identity remains hidden behind a series of texts and messages finds our heroine falling for both men, but one and the same. Our heroine presumed that businessman Dex Truitt was an elitist snob but had no idea that the man with whom she was trapped in an elevator was the very man she likened to a spoiled, Mister Moneybags snob. What ensues is the building relationship between Bianca and Dex (Jay), and the potential fall out when Bianca and Dex’s past reveals something that neither one ever knew existed.
The relationship between Bianca and Dex begins as a lie that escalates with every encounter until the lie takes on a life of its’ own. Dex struggles with the reality of his dual personalities, and the ramifications of what if when his secret is finally revealed. The are no $ex scenes until 95% but there is some sexual exploration throughout the story.
We are introduced to Dex’s father Dexter Sr and his wife Myra as well as Bianca’s sister Alexandra, her mother Eleni and father Taso. When our hero decides whittling may be a useful hobby, the author brings together new found friend Jelani Okiro, a man with some sage wisdom for our story line hero.
The world building looks at a series of lies from both the past and the present, and one couple’s struggle to accept everything that fate may be offering.
MISTER MONEYBAGS is an entertaining and surprising story line with a number of twists you will never see coming. The premise is heartwarming and imaginative; the characters are energetic and passionate; the romance is fated, slow building, and intimate. MISTER MONEYBAGS is an engaging and delightful look at two people brought together by more than fate.
