ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 13, 2025

Tyler Griffin is gorgeous, ruthless, and arrogant.
He’s also one of the best hockey players in the National Hockey League.
Not known to be a fighter on the ice, he has no problem dropping the gloves at the same time.
The sweet side of Tyler: he has a twin sister that he would do anything for, including disregarding any rules if they mean he can’t protect who he loves.

I know all of this about Tyler because I know him.
We grew up in neighboring towns.
He played against my brothers and ironically, he still does because my brothers are also NHL franchise stars.
The rivalry was in high school.
We’re all adults now.
That means certain grudges should be forgotten…
Wrong.
The rivalry is very much alive.
The hatred is visceral between my brothers and Tyler.
As for myself, I have my own complicated relationship with my brothers.
But things are about to get heated because the NHL team that I recently accepted a position to work for just traded for a certain star player: Tyler Griffin.
He’s the enemy to both of my brothers, but he’s also mine.

REVIEW:  MY BROTHER’S ENEMY by Tijan is a stand alone, contemporary, adult hockey romance focusing on professional hockey player Tyler Griffin, and thirty year old sports psychologist Rain Connors.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Tyler and Rain) MY BROTHER’S ENEMY follows in the wake of the arrival of Tyler Griffin and Rain Connors, the two newest acquisitions to the Minnesota Gray Wolves. Tyler Griffin asked for a trade to the Wolves in the wake of a family emergency, where he would come face to face with our story line heroine. Rain Connors had previously worked in the NFL but an offer to help the floundering Gray Wolves meant facing the demons from her past. A forbidden romance, secrets and lies, a paparazzi nightmare, and a history of emotional and mental abuse, find our couple in a spiral from which they may never come back, a spiral that threatens Rain’s position with the team, and her own happily ever after.

The world building focuses on team building, and dysfunctional family dynamics. No one is aware of our heroine’s history, and in this, the back story is heart breaking for everyone to hear. Unaware of the reality of her past, the people in charge, as well as the team, begin to circle the proverbial wagons in defense of our story line couple.

The relationship between Tyler and Rain is a forbidden romance in which the past is determined to destroy their lives. Rain is willing to step down but with the support of the Gray Wolves, Tyler and Rain discover a new family, and a new change at the future. The $ex scenes are intimate, provocative and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of diverse and interesting secondary and supporting characters including Tyler’s teammates, team owners and support staff, as well as Tyler’s sister Skylar, her daughter Zoey, and Rain’s brothers Dane and Daniel. I am hoping the author has future stories planned for Tyler’s sister Skylar, and the members of the Minnesota Gray Wolves.

MY BROTHER’S ENEMY is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, neglect and heart breaking, acceptance and love The character driven premise is dramatic, edgy and emotional; the romance is seductive and passionate; the characters are a little bit broken, determined and charismatic.
