A lost love. A new threat. Secrets that could destroy them all.

Just when we think things have finally settled down after our fight with the cartel…
A new enemy emerges with guns blazing.
They come out of nowhere, blindsiding us and drawing blood.
But the Dark Pharaohs aren’t the only ones being threatened.

Hadley arrives on my doorstep, terrified and in need of a safe place to lay low.
And she brings old feelings with her.
The attraction we’ve always shared flames back to life, along with all the insecurities and wounds that broke us up in the first place.

Reflecting on what went wrong the last time around will have to wait, though.
Because someone seems intent on starting a war between the MCs.

I never thought I’d get the love of my life back at the same time I have to dodge bullets again.
Life seems intent on keeping me on my toes and my finger on the trigger.

No matter what comes at me, I’ll protect my brothers and my woman.
Even if it costs me everything.

REVIEW: NITRO is the fourth instalment in Ivy Black’s contemporary, adult DARK PHARAOHS MC erotic, MC romance series. This is thirty-six year old, former US soldier Milo ‘Nitro’ Ball, and legal assistant Hadley Larson’s story line. NITRO can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Nitro and Hadley) NITRO follows the second chance romance between thirty-six year old, former US soldier Milo ‘Nitro’ Ball, and legal assistant Hadley Larson. Years earlier, Milo Ball returned from action in Afghanistan a changed man, and his relationship with Hadley Larson suffered in the process. Walking away from the man that she loved, Hadley went back to school leaving a heart broken Milo in her wake. Fast forward to present day wherein Hadley goes home to discover something not quite right, something that pushes our heroine in to the arms of the man she still loves but all is not well in the Dark Pharaohs MC, when they discover a potential mole in their midst. Meanwhile, Christopher Rollins, a federal agent has descended upon the small town of Blue Rock, targeting not only the Dark Pharaohs but our story line heroine. What ensues is the rekindling romance and relationship between Nitro and Hadley, and the potential fall-out as the Dark Pharaohs’ MC finds themselves straddling a line when the ATF come calling, and one of their sets them up for a fall.

The relationship between Hadley and Nitro is one of second chances; a rekindling romance once destroyed by PTSD and demons from the past. Milo ‘Nitro’ Ball forced himself to get help, in an effort to prove he is worthy of our heroine’s love but never expected Hadley to drop back into his life. Hadley Larson hadn’t seen or heard from Nitro since their relationship ended but in the ensuing time never stopped loving the man that broke her heart. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense but the author uses some descriptors that were a little cringe worthy.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including MC President Prophet, VP Doc, prospect and former US Marine Blake, Cosmo, Monk, Spyder, Grease; Montezuma’s Warriors MC president Tarantula; Sheriff Singer; Hadley’s boss Brent, and her best friend Robin. The requisite evil has many faces. Here’s hoping the author has plans for prospect Blake.

NITRO is another story of betrayal, vengeance, greed and power; a story of second chances, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is impassioned and dramatic; the characters are spirited; the romance is provocative and emotional. Ivy Black pulls the reader into a tragic tale of deception and greed.

ABOUT THE BOOK:Release Date September 8, 2021

A new romance. A sinister threat. The past could decimate their future.

We’ve woken a sleeping giant.
One with a quick trigger finger and a taste for blood.
And he’s already spilled enough from the Dark Pharaohs.
The men we’ve lost have left rage in my veins and a hole in my heart.

Somehow, Fallon seems to fill that void and give me solace despite the turmoil swirling around me.
I can find peace, if only for a few hours in her arms.

But the dark enemy hunting us won’t just disappear and let us live our lives.
We need to strike before he can again.
It won’t be easy.

More shots will be fired and blood will flow like a river.
I just hope it’s his and not ours

REVIEW: VOLT is the fifth instalment in Ivy Black’s contemporary, adult DARK PHARAOHS MC erotic, MC romance series focusing on the members of the Dark Pharaohs MC. This is former US Corp soldier, twenty-six year old, Blake ‘Volt’ Donaldson, and twenty-four year old, artist/bartender Fallon Peters’ story line. VOLT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order or at the very least book four NITRO, as the events of Volt are as of a direct result of the events in Nitro.

WARNING: Due to the graphic nature and violence of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

NOTE: If you have not read book four NITRO, there may be spoilers in my review.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Volt and Fallon) VOLT follows in the aftermath of an attack and murders of several members of the Dark Pharaoh’s MC, an attack in retaliation for the murder of Miguel Zavala, the brother of Emiliano Zavala, the head of the Mexican Cartel. With only thirty days warning, the Dark Pharaohs must either back down or mount an offensive in an effort to thwart the destruction that is heading their way. Mourning the loss of his ‘brothers’ Volt finds himself face to face with his future, bartender Fallon Peters, a woman who stirs something deep within our story line hero. But as the members of the Dark Pharaoh’s remain targets of the Mexican Cartel, Volt, along with his brothers, devise a plan to date down Zavala, but in doing so, must consider the ramifications against their own families and friends. As most of the MC are former members of the military, it doesn’t take long to put a plan into motion that rivals many war time attacks. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Blake and Fallon, and the potential fall -out as the MC remains a target of the Mexican Cartel, and Fallon struggles with the possibility of losing the man with whom she is falling in love.

The relationship between Volt (Blake) and Fallon is one of immediate attraction but Volt struggles in the aftermath of the death of his friends. Upon learning the truth about Blake’s involvement with the Dark Pharaoh’s MC, our heroine battles between head and heart knowing to fall in love could mean losing in move ways than one. The $ex scenes are passionate, erotic and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including MC president Prophet, VP Doc, Nitro, prospect Adam; Fallon’s BFF Bree, and co-workers Mary and Jack. The requisite evil has many faces

VOLT is a story of loss and grief, retaliation and revenge, relationships, friendships and love. The premise is intriguing and shocking; the romance is seductive and steamy; the characters are dynamic, charismatic and lively.
