ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 4, 2024

I told myself I’d never fall in love.

It just wasn’t the trajectory my life was going to take.

Maybe I should’ve read the fine print on that vow because not falling in love doesn’t mean no marriage.

I woke up with a gold band on my left hand and very few memories of how it got there.

Beth Moore needed an escape, and I needed one more night like we shared.

When she asked if she could come back to New Mexico with me, I opened my mouth to tell her that wouldn’t be a great idea but YES came out instead.

To save her the embarrassment of what we did, I played along.

Besides, no one falls in love after they get married.

That’s supposed to come first, and I told myself I’d never fall in love…

REVIEW: ORACLE is the thirtieth instalment in Marie James’ contemporary, adult CERBERUS MC erotic, MC romance series focusing the member of the Cerberus MC, all former members of the US Marines. This is Derrick ‘Oracle’ Lee, and high school teacher Beth Moore-Lee. ORACLE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary. There is a slight cross-over with the author’s Blackbridge Security series.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Oracle and Beth) ORACLE follows in the wake of the marriage between our story line couple. Derrick ‘Oracle’ Lee woke up to the woman he met the night before only to discover they were married, and he didn’t remember anything.Enter Beth Moore-Lee, the woman with whom Oracle would fall in love but Oracle needed to introduce Beth to the men with whom he served, and all does not go according to plan. Volunteering at a local women’s shelter Beth finds a place with the MC but our heroine struggles to follow directions, and places herself in the direct line of fire. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Derrick and Beth, and the potential fall-out as Beth struggles with her life in the MC, and a betrayal that threatens our story line heroine.

The world building continues to focus on the men and women at the Cerberus MC, their need and commitment to rescue the most vulnerable, and stop the evil that threatens the peace.

The relationship between Derrick and Beth begins as a spur of the moment wedding but Beth is keeping a secret, a secret she believes will threaten her future with our story line hero. Hoping Beth will acclimate to her new life with the Cerberus MC, Derrick suspects Beth may not be believe in a happily ever after. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including many of the couples and MC member we met in the the previous story lines. We are introduced to a young woman living at the women’s shelter Brielle.

ORACLE is a story of betrayal and revenge, power and control, family and relationships, acceptance, forgiveness and love. The premise is dramatic and intense; the romance is passionate but struggles in the face of issues of trust and a fear of the unknown; the characters are desperate and dynamic.
