REVIEW: OVER THE LIMIT is the third instalment in K. Bromberg’s contemporary adult FULL THROTTLE erotic, romance series focusing on Formula One racers. This is driver Lachlan Evans,and Apex Racing PR rep Blair Carmichael’s story line. OVER THE LIMIT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Lachlan and Blair) OVER THE LIMIT follows the building romance and relationship between our story line couple. Blair Carmichael has been offered the opportunity of a lifetime with Apex Racing but her current relationship with race car driver Oliver Rossi is spiralling out of control. Meeting fellow Apex Formula 1 driver Lachlan Evans stirs something deep within our story line heroine, something she has never felt with Rossi, and in the end, Rossi’s behavior and attitude are too much for Blair to control. Forced to keep their building relationship a secret, Lachlan and Blair tread a fine line as others work behind the scenes to against our story line couple.

The world building looks at the Formula1 competitive nature of the drivers, even the competition between teammates. As each member of the team ‘fights’ for position, there is always someone else offering something bigger, something more.

The relationship between Lachlan and Blair is one of the forbidden. Rival teammates vie for the affection of our story line heroine but Lachlan is the sole owner of our heroine’s heart. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters include Lachlan’s father Erik Evans, Blair’s parents, fellow racer Oliver Rossi, Cruz Navarro, and Spencer Riggs. Oliver’s story line is next.

OVER THE LIMIT is a story of perceived betrayal and vengeance; secrets and lies, family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is exciting and engaging; the romance is seductive and provocative ; the characters are determined and dynamic.
