I don’t need or want the dark-haired devil’s help, but he’s not giving me a choice.

Pearl

I didn’t ask for this life, but it’s the one I live. When the president of our national chapter entrusted me, she got everything I promised. Fierce, unyielding loyalty to her and every one of my family.

The Royal Harlots Motorcycle Club gives me purpose, and the ability to ensure no
one messes with them or the women we provide safe haven to, ever again.

The pearl handled Glock my dad left me is always by my side. If you mess with us, I will put you in the ground. Without question, hesitation, or remorse. The ladies and I have each other’s back. We don’t need any man to take care of us or our business. We do just fine by ourselves.

Until a routine mission ride goes south, and too many lives to count are at stake. And one sole man steps from the shadows, gets off his bike, ready to take on the world.
for me…

Canyon Carver

Known for solo missions in and out of the canyons, carnage and mayhem are my middle names. I don’t go looking for trouble, but wherever I ride, it finds me just the same.

And this time, her name is Pearl. Not a damsel in distress, she pushes my help away at every turn. But I see the light beneath that dark façade. And like it or not, I protect what’s mine, and that not so innocent beauty wrapped in a world of sin, is mine.

REVIEW: PEARL is the first instalment in Via Maria’s contemporary, adult ROYAL HARLOTS MC: PHOENIX dark, erotic, MC romance, a part of the multi-authored ROYAL HARLOTS MC world. This is lone wolf Canyon Carver, and RHMC: Phoenix president Pearl’s story line. PEARL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. For fans of Via Maria, there is a slight cross over, and interconnected story line with the author’s LARUSSIO LEGACY Mafia series.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Pearl and Canyon) PEARL focuses on the search and rescue of survivors of human traffickers. Several women rescued are currently under the protection of Pearl and the Royal Harlots MC but the probability of discovery is forcing Pearl and the MC to look for a safer alternative, and find themselves with the RBMC: Phoenix but Pearl never expected to come face to face with 1% and lone wolf Canyon Carver, the man with whom Pearl will fall in love. As several MC’s work together with the Larussio Crime Family, to take down the trafficking ring, our heroine finds herself a target, and Canyon is determined to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love.

The world building focuses on the camaraderie and respect between a number of clubs but also on the enemies that are circling in an effort to take control.

The relationship between Canyon and Pearl begins as a one-night stand but our couple are hoping for something more. Canyon is offered a place within the RBMC, as well as the Larussio Crime Family, and must come to terms with his future, in an effort to remain with our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are erotic and provocative but I dislike the use of a certain four-letter word, although only used once, more for shock value than anything else.

We are introduced to several members of the Harlot MC including VP Onyx, Skye, cleaner Brandy, as well as RBMC Phoenix president Hawg Dawson, Ryker, Capone, Canyon’s friend Lucky Wing, and Renzo Larussio. The requisite evil has many faces. Hawg and Onyx’s story line is next.

PEARL is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, family and friendships, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is dramatic and intense; the romance is passionate; the characters are determined and charismatic.
