REVIEW: RAGE is the sixth instalment in Jessica Ames’s contemporary, adult MANCHESTER CHAPTER: UNTAMED SONS MC dark, erotic, MC romance. This is part one of nineteen year old, Beau aka Rage, and eighteen year old, Skye Richardson’s story. RAGE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary

Told from dual first person perspectives (Rage and Skye) RAGE follows in the wake of one of their own seeking revenge against the group known as the Pioneers. With a target on their backs, Rage, a member of the Manchester Chapter of the Untamed Sons MC is sent on a job where he will meet a young woman, and six weeks later, will come face to face with his future in the guise of a pregnant Skye Richardson but all is not well in the lives of the Untamed Sons MC, and the ongoing war with the Pioneers is about to come home. As their brother continues his rampage and obsession with revenge, the possibility of a dark betrayal is about to threaten Rage and the woman he will call his own. What ensues is the ongoing to search for one of their own, as the club must deal with a perceived betrayal at home, and a murderous rampage from all sides.

The world building follows two intersecting paths. Skye Richardson is a crime lord’s daughter but is not totally unaware of the business of which her father partakes but saying that Skye will discover betrayal comes at a cost, and her live is about to become a lot more complicated. Meanwhile, Rage, whose earlier years have moulded our anti-hero into the killing machine he is today, a killer who has earned his name in the wake of his need to protect the people he loves.

The relationship between Skye and Rage is that of a one-night stand. Rage was on assignment, and Skye was nothing more than a one-night stand. Skye Richardson was on the run from her father, and with her best friend by her side, our heroine would discover the true meaning of betrayal and a knife to the back. The lone $ex scene is fast and furious.

The numerous secondary and supporting characters are familiar, desperate and dynamic including several members from both the Birmingham and Manchester Untamed Sons MC, as well as the introduction of Skye’s father Desmond Richardson, Skye’s best friends Tommy and Scarlett. The requisite evil has many faces.

RAGE is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, murder and retribution, madness and mayhem, acceptance and love. The fast paced, character driven premise is gritty, intense and dramatic; the characters are determined and broken; the romance is non-existent as our couple have only spent a few minutes together. RAGE ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned

Skye is pregnant following a one-night stand with Rage, but the Untamed Sons are at war with the group known as the Pioneers, and Skye will be targeted by both sides. Skye is an unknown but her connections to the Pioneers threatens the peace and survival of every member of the MC, and our heroine is about to become fodder in a war not of her making. Meanwhile, Rage struggles with his place within the Untamed Sons MC, always feeling like a temporary member, not wanted or belonging. When Skye is targeted by more than one potential threat, her life hangs in the balance, as does the life of their unborn child. What ensues is the building relationship between Rage and Skye, and the potential fall-out as our couple struggle to keep everything under control.

The world building follows several interconnected pathways: one of revenge, one of betrayal, one of obsession and one of growing love. Skye will become the target of more than one enemy, enemies that were once considered family and friends. As Skye and Rage’s relationship begins to build, their shot at a happily ever after will be stolen, and the lives threatened.

The relationship between Skye and Rage began as a one-night stand. Imprisoned by her father, betrayed by her two best friends, Skye escapes to discover that Untamed Sons MC considers her a plant, a mole to take them down. Falling in love with Skye meant making himself vulnerable to a broken heart but watching the woman he loved destroyed by the people she once trusted meant destroying the people who hurt her the most. The $ex scenes are aggressive, intimate and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, dangerous and dynamic secondary and supporting characters. Friends will become enemies, members will take sides, lives will be threatened in the name of control.

SKYE is a dark and gritty story of madness, revenge, betrayal and love. The premise is dramatic and intense; the romance is provocative; the characters are broken, desperate, determined and charismatic.
