REVIEW:RUTHLESS KNIGHT is the first instalment in Faith Summers’ contemporary, adult RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRES dark, erotic, romance series. This is thirty year old, billionaire Knight Grayson, and twenty-four year old, writer/journalist Aurora Wright’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Knight and Aurora) RUTHLESS KNIGHT follows the building relationship and arranged marriage between Knight Grayson and Aurora Wright. The only thing standing between Knight Grayson and the position of CEO at Grayson Inc is our story line heroine. Knight and his brother Jericho are their father’s eldest sons but Tobias Grayson refuses to recognize his eldest boys. Grandfather Bradford Grayson has made it clear, in an effort to gain control, each of the grandsons must prove they are worthy by first performing a task that will be difficult for everyone involved. Knight is determined to win at whatever game his grandfather is playing but never expected to fall in love with his intended target. Enter journalist/writer Aurora Wright, a young woman whose life is about to be destroyed by her reckless father, and a determined billionaire who will win at all costs. What ensues Is the building but acrimonious relationship between Aurora and Knight, and the potential fall-out as their arranged marriage/marriage of convenience is a ruse; a betrayal from the father she loves, and the man who is stealing her heart.

The world building focuses on the dysfunctional family dynamics of the Grayson family, and the betrayal at the heart of Aurora’s loss. The only way to protect her father, Aurora must marry a man she does not know but a man who is about to control every aspect of her life. Aurora is unaware of the true nature of the deceit but truth reveals years of lies perpetuated by secrets and sins of which our heroine is completely unaware.

The relationship between Aurora and Knight begins as an almost one-night stand but Knight is well aware of his intended victim, and Aurora is about to fall for a man who will control her life. Married within weeks of introduction, Aurora must play the part of a loving wife or lose control of what is left of her spiralling life. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to several key characters who play a significant role in both Aurora and Knight’s relationship and life: Knight’s brother Jericho, their half-brother Bastian, and father Tobias Grayson; grandparents Bradford and Etta Grayson; Aurora’s embattled father William Wright; her best friend Madison, and Aurora’s ex boyfriend Nathan, who is determined to claim what does not belong.

RUTHLESS KNIGHT is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, games and manipulations, forgiveness, acceptance and love. The premise is emotional and heart breaking; the characters are broken but determined and desperate; the romance is intoxicating and aggressive but Aurora is defiant to the end.
