REVIEW:: SAVED BY HER BEAR is the third instalment in Felicity Heaton’s contemporary, adult BLACK RIDGE BEARS paranormal, romance series – a spin off from the author’s COUGAR CREEK MATES’ SERIES which in turn is a spin-off from the author’s Eternal Mates series. This is bear shifter Knox Grayson, and bar owner Skye Callaghan. SAVED BY HER BEAR can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: Some of the events of SAVED BY HER BEAR run parallel to and cross over with book two RESCUED BY HER BEAR.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Skye and Knox) SAVED BY HER BEAR follows the second chance romance and relationship between is bear shifter Knox Grayson, and bar owner Skye Callaghan. Two year earlier, Skye’s heart was broken when following a one-night stand, Knox Grayson ghosted without looking back. Fast forward to present day wherein, Skye’s bar is struggling, and an offer of money to act as a guide, found Skye in a mess of trouble, when she realized that the men she was helping were probably going to get her killed. Enter bear shifter Knox Grayson. As Skye begin to lead the man away from their intended target, Knox knew that to save his fated mate, he was going to have to reveal the truth about the who, how and why. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Skye and Knox, and the potential fall-out Knox fears the truth will push Skye out of his life.

The relationship between Skye and Knox is one of second chances but two years earlier Knox ghosted our heroine, believing a shifter and a human were never intended as fated mates. For two years, Skye struggled with the heart break of her one-night stand, heart break that evaporated when she realized that the two belonged to one another. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters include Alpha Saint and his mate (cougar shifter) Holly; Knox’s twin brother Lowe and his mate Cameo; bear shifters Rune and Maverick. The requisite evil has many faces.

SAVED BY HER BEAR is a quick read; a fast paced and intriguing story of second chances. The premise is inviting; the romance is intimate; the characters are lively and spirited.
