REVIEW: SILAS is the fourth instalment in the contemporary, adult DIRTY ACES MC erotic, MC, romance series co-authored by Lane Hart and DB West. This is Dirty Aces MC member Silas Sheppard, and chef Cora Walsh’s story line. SILAS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Some of the events of SILAS cross over with the events of DEVLIN #2.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Silas and Cora) SILAS follows in the aftermath in the attack by the Dirty Aces MC, and take down of the people responsible for a sex trafficking ring but the men responsible never expected to find a woman hiding in the kitchen pantry. Enter chef Cora Walsh. Sparing her life, the MC would soon discover that Cora is a potential witness, and one of their brothers is subsequently arrested and charged with murder. To make sure the witness disappears, Silas goes undercover as an FBI agent named Sam, and pretends to enter Cora into the Witness Protection Program but Cora struggles with the start of her new life, and begs ‘Sam’ to stay until she is settled and sure. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Silas and Cora, and the potential fall-out when the truth is revealed about the FBI and protection ruse.

The relationship between Cora and Silas begins when our heroine is released by the Dirty Aces MC. Hoping to save his brother, Silas goes ‘under cover’ to ensure Cora is no longer available to the local PD but Silas never expected to fall for the woman under his charge, a woman who is about to rock his world in more ways than one. The $ex scenes are passionate, erotic and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting character including most of the previous story line heroes but the majority of the story focuses on the relationship between our leading couple.

SILAS is a story of betrayal, secrets and lies; relationships and friendships. The premise is engaging and captivating; the characters are flawed, sensitive and dynamic; the romance is intense and provocative .
