REVIEW:SILVER LINING is the first instalment in Aleatha Romig’s contemporary adult BLURRED LINES erotic, romance series. This is forty-three year old, billionaire business woman Lena Montgomery, and thirty-one year old tech innovator CJ ‘Chandler’ Thompson’s story line.

NOTE: For followers of Aleatha Romig, SILVER LINING and the BLURRED LINES series is set in the same world as the author’s SIN series.

Told from dual first person perspectives (CJ and Lena) SILVER LINING follows in the wake of the sale of Architech to Montgomery Holdings. CJ and his brother Colton sold their business to Montgomery Holdings, and to celebrate CJ headed to Cancun where he would meet, and spend a glorious week, with a stranger, a woman who refuses to give more than the present. Upon his return, CJ would come face to face with the new owner of Architech, the woman with whom he was falling in love. Enter Lena Montgomery. All is not well in Lena’s life; Lena has a stalker, someone who is determined to make our heroine’s life miserable, someone who is desperate enough to pull CJ in the direct line of fire. What ensues is the building relationship between CJ and Lena, and the potential fall-out as Lena struggles with the power struggled between herself and CJ; and Lena’s stalker ups their attempts to destroy our story line heroine.

Lena battled between head and heart-CJ wanted to retain his position at Architech, a position that Lena claims would be a conflict of interested if our couple were to continue with their vacation affair. CJ is willing to step back or step-down but when the stalker gets up close and personal, CJ offers his protection to the woman that had stolen his heart.

The relationship between CJ and Lena begins as an island affair. One week together-no talk about lives back home, talk that would have revealed the reality of their situation, and their connection that runs deeper than sexual attraction.The $ex scenes are erotic and passionate without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to CJ’s brother Colton: Lena’s partner and advisor Jeremy Wilde, as well as her personal security Kelsey and Adam.

SILVER LINING is a story of betrayal and trust, vengeance and grief, acceptance and love. The premise is intriguing and captivating; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are energetic, charismatic and determined. My only complaint, the conflict resolution was too quick and too easy.
