Vegas
At least, it sounded like a good idea at the time. I mean what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right?
Not so much.
Not when I make rash decisions and the whole world was there to catch my stupidity on camera. But this time…
This time, I took someone down with me and she didn’t deserve any of the sh*t being thrown her way.
The band is pissed I screwed up again.
She’s being unfairly hounded by the paparazzi.
I regret everything that’s happened.
What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay there.
But the bad press isn’t my fault. Things have to go right at some point.
Don’t they?

REVIEW: STRING ME is the fourth instalment in Rebecca Brooke’s contemporary, adult JADED IVORY erotic, rock romance series focusing on the members of the band Jaded Ivory. This is Jaded Ivory bassist Monty Vance, and high school English teacher Allana Kerr’s story line. STRING ME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person points of view (Allana and Monty) STRING ME follows one night in Vegas wherein Jaded Ivory’s bassist Monty Vance wakes up to discover he has married high school English teacher Allana Kerr. Sick and tired of the band’s infighting, and what our hero perceives as a lack of interest in their musical careers, Monty Vance heads to Vegas for some R&R but a night of heavy drinking ends with two strangers waking up together and married. Enter Allana Kerr, whose most recent relationship ended when she discovered her boyfriend with someone else. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Allana and Monty, and the potential fall-out as someone is releasing information about the band, and all fingers point to our story line heroine.
Allana Kerr needed time away, so she and her two best friends Bri and Erin, headed to Vegas for a few nights of dancing and fun having never intended to find the one but a night of drinking lands Allana and Monty in a Vegas chapel, with a Elvis impersonator and marriage on their minds. When word of their marriage made news back home Monty would discover just how badly his band mates believed he screwed up.
The relationship between Allana and Monty is one of immediate attraction; a quickie Vegas wedding followed by the decision to stay together, a decision that works for our story line couple. The $ex scenes are are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are reintroduced to the member of Jaded Ivory: Cole and Mari (Rock Me #1), Heath and Jenna (Cover Me #2) , Sawyer and Reagan (Ride Me #3), as well as Monty’s roommate Jackson, his parents Debbie and Scott Vance; the band’s agent and publicist Tom; Allana’s friends Erin and Bri, Allana’s ex-boyfriend Brian, and her parents Glen and Carla Kerr.
STRING ME is a story of betrayal and lies; struggle and acceptance; misunderstanding, trust and love. The premise is delightful, heart breaking and entertaining; the characters are energetic and charismatic; the romance is spicy and hot. JADED IVORY is a wonderful look at friendship, battles and the road to success.
