It all started with the invitation. To my ex-fiance’s new wedding.

I should have ignored it. Thrown it away. Set it afire. But I didn’t. I replied.

With a plus one.

And then my assistant accidentally mailed it.

Enter Hayes Whitley. Mega-movie star. The man who has captured the hearts of millions. But I gave him mine years ago. He was my first love. He was my everything. Right until he up and left to chase his dreams without so much as a simple goodbye.

When he showed up out of the blue ten years later, I should have known to steer clear. I should have rejected his offer to take me to my ex’s wedding. I should have never let him kiss me.

But I didn’t.

And now we’re left wondering if the pieces of the life we once shared still fit together somehow. First loves are hard to forget. The question is, do we want to forget? Or do we risk the chance and see what happens next?

REVIEW: SWEET CHEEKS by K. Bromberg is an adult, contemporary, stand alone, second chance romance story line between movie star Hayes Whitley, and bakery shop owner Saylor Rodgers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Saylor and Hayes) SWEET CHEEKS focuses on Sweet Cheeks bakery owner Saylor Rodgers following the invitation to her ex-fiance Mitch’s wedding. With his sister in need of the perfect date for the island nuptials Saylor’s brother Ryder calls in an IOU from Hayes Whitley-the man whom Saylor has loved for most of her life- and the man who broke her heart ten years earlier. What ensues is the rekindling romance and rebuilding of a friendship between two people who have never forgotten the past.

Hayes Whitley is an award winning Hollywood actor whose fame came at the cost of his relationship with Saylor Rodgers. Ten years earlier, Hayes left his hometown and the woman he loved to seek his fame and fortune, then never looked back. Saylor Rodgers thought she found love in the guise of someone new but six years later realized that Hayes was the only man she would ever love. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense.

We are introduced to Saylor’s brother Ryder Rodgers, and her co-worker and best friend Dee Dee who is responsible for sending Saylor’s wedding invitation reply. Saylor’s ex-fiance Mitch Layton has yet to sever the umbilical cord still attached to his overbearing mother; and Mrs. Layton who is attempting to destroy Saylor’s business one nasty comment at a time.

SWEET CHEEKS is a second chance romance between two people who share a lifetime of memories, of hopes and of dreams. The premise is emotional and sexy; the characters are passionate and real; the romance is fated by time.
