ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 28, 2016

Lennox used to live in a paradise on earth with his best friend Jamie, in a place where visitors came and went, allowing their desires to run free. But everything changes when a deadly attack forces them to take up with Connor Mackenzie’s band of Outlaws. Lennox knows Jamie is hung up on someone else, but he’s always believed he’s the man for her—and won’t let her go without a fight.

Even though Jamie is well aware that Lennox is one hot specimen of a man, she refuses to let sex ruin the most important relationship in her life. But when the object of her interest spurns her, she indulges in a little pleasure-filled revenge with her very magnetic, very willing best friend. One thrilling night with Lennox is enough to awaken Jamie’s unexpected desires for him. And now that she’s had a taste, she’s not sure she can ever give him up.

REVIEW: ADDICTED is the second installment in Elle Kennedy’s adult, post-apocalyptic/dystopian Outlaws erotica, romance series. This is Lennox and Jamie’s story line.

NOTE: CLAIMED contains scenes of M/M/, M/F and M/F/M sexual situations and may not be suitable for all readers.

SOME BACKGROUND: The OUTLAW series by Elle Kennedy focuses on the post-apocalyptic USA where the country is now divided into a number of respective territories without government control. There are various factions of bandits, enforcers, outlaws, and the people from the city. Life on the outside is hard; there are no laws, no law enforcement, and death is often the better option. Several groups of outlaws have banded together in gated communities for protection and control.

Told from several third person points of view ADDICTED is a friends to lovers story that follows Lennox and his best friend Jamie, as well as fellow outlaws Rylan, Pike and Kade, as they are ‘sent’ to another Outlaw camp to train their members for an upcoming war. But Connor is suspicious of the real reason that the other outlaw leader Reese has requested the help, and Connor believes he may be placing his friends in danger when the truth is finally revealed.

Lennox and Jamie have been best friends for most of their lives. Twenty years of watching family die, friends killed, and with only one another for support, Lennox and Jamie joined Connor Mackenzie’s band of Outlaws but now find themselves in a fight to survive. The relationship between our leading couple is one of friendship and love but Lennox has always rebuked Jamie’s advances until the day his jealousy can no longer be contained and he claims Jamie for himself. The $ex scenes are intimate, aggressive and provocative. Jamie is a woman willing to fight for the man that she loves.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of characters including many secondary and supporting roles. With Lennox and Jamie’s visit to Reese’s camp, the introductions are vast; the friendships are varied but not all survive to see another day.

ADDICTED, like the previous installment, is heavily weighted in graphic sexual situations including M/M, M/F/M, M/M/F and M/F material. Public displays of $ex acts are common; group $ex and multiple partners are encouraged but for all intents and purposes, the sexual situations detract from the story line premise. $ex is a commodity; bandits and enforcers use $ex as power and control therefore if you are sensitive to certain sexual situations, this series may not be for you.

Elle Kennedy’s ADDICTED has romance, suspense, action and love. There are moments of heartbreaking loss, emotional fall out, and the realization that you have to give love a try before life takes it all away. The premise is fated and entertaining; the characters are colorful, animated and passionate; the romance is a friends to lover trope filled with hope for the future. The OUTLAWS series is a provocative, erotic and dramatic look at a post-apocalyptic world where life is fleeting and love is shot in the dark.

About the book: Release Date July 15, 2014

As Chloe Girard discovers, there’s love . . . and then there’s addiction.

Ethan Frost is everything a woman could want in a man. He’s rich, gorgeous, powerful, one of the most eligible bachelors in the world.

But that’s not why I’m with him.

I love Ethan for all the things no one else gets to see: his innate kindness, his reckless spontaneity, his unwavering determination to use his brilliance for good. I love the way he looks at me, the way he touches me. The way he makes me forget the wreckage of my past and the twisted fear that still lives inside me.

But sometimes it terrifies me how much I crave him, how much I need him just to breathe. I always thought it would be my past that ruined us, but there’s a darkness in Ethan I never dreamed existed. Can we survive as his secrets surface—threatening to unravel us both?

••••••••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: ADDICTED is the second instalment in Tracy Wolff’s contemporary, adult Ethan Frost erotic romance series focusing on billionaire Ethan Frost and the love of his life, legal intern Chloe Girard. This is the continuing story about forbidden love and two broken souls whose lives will collide both in and out of the boardroom. This is not a stand alone novel-the series must be read in order-but saying that, book two leaves too many open ended plot points for this to be the final instalment.

The focus of ADDICTED is the continuing struggle between Ethan and Chloe. Chloe has revealed to Ethan the secrets and demons from her past but Ethan keeps everything about himself and his family very close to his heart-not that he is trying to protect his family-but he is trying to protect the woman with whom he has fallen in love. Ethan’s family has a tumultuous past that crosses paths with Chloe’s family and keeping this information from Chloe sets into motion a series of heartbreak, betrayal and the need to constantly run for a woman who has accepted that the past is the past, and everyone must move forward.

The relationship between Chloe and Ethan is bumpy as both of their pasts collide. Chloe is a woman who is quick to run when the truth is revealed and Ethan is a man whose love for Chloe is almost painful and heartbreaking.

I will point out that the ending felt rushed and many issues have yet to be resolved. Without giving away any major spoilers three secondary characters were brought into the storyline whose presence created a snowball affect on the storyline resulting in continual heartbreak for both of our leading characters. I am hoping that Tracy has plans for another instalment but ADDICTED fast forwards the ending by approximately one year without addressing some major complications and issues. Hopefully the missing timeline will be addressed in a future book.

Tracy Wolff pulls the reader into an emotional, heartbreaking and sometimes frustrating storyline about two people whose pasts collide with the present resulting in a roller coaster of push and pull. The love Chloe and Ethan have for one another is nothing short of an addiction and in this, no matter what continues to happen, they will fall back into each other’s arms because that is where they need to be.

RuinedHe’s the last man Chloe Girard should love . . . but the first she ever could.

Ethan Frost is a visionary, a genius, every woman’s deepest, darkest fantasy—even mine. And, somehow, I am his.

He stole into my life like a dream. Turned my reality upside down and made my every desire come true—especially those I never knew I had. He demanded everything I had to give and gave me everything of himself in return.

But dreams don’t last forever, and ours is no exception. Because my nightmares are darker, and my wounds deeper, than I could ever reveal. And as much as Ethan wants to protect me, the secrets we share will only tear us apart.

••••••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: RUINED is the first instalment in Tracy Wolff’s contemporary, adult Ethan Frost erotic romance duology focusing on billionaire Ethan Frost and legal intern Chloe Girard. This is a story about two broken souls whose paths will collide in the boardroom, the bedroom and beyond in a story about forbidden love, and dark and dangerous secrets.

Told from first person POV (Chloe) the storyline follows Chloe as she embarks on a summer internship at Frost Industries. Falling for the boss was never on the agenda but something about Chloe draws Ethan in like a moth to a flame. There are secrets from both of their pasts that affect every decision that they make and in doing so will set into motion a twist of epic proportions.

The relationship between Chloe and Ethan is one of forbidden love. Chloe knows that to embark on a romance with the CEO is legal and professional suicide but Ethan’s persistence and need for Chloe is matched only by Chloe’s desire for the man himself. The sex scenes are intimate, sensual and revealing where we learn there is more to Chloe’s past than a broken heart.

The secondary characters include Chloe’s coworkers and friend. Chloe’s backstory and family history are revealed as the storyline builds but Ethan’s troubled beginnings have only be alluded to and in this the cliff hanger will leave the reader questioning what really happened so many years before.

Tracy Wolff writes a compelling and familiar storyline about the troubled billionaire who falls for the broken and troubled virginal young woman. Theirs is a story where the past will collide with the present, and a dark secret will be revealed that could affect the future for both Chloe and Ethan. The past is never that far behind and could very well show up at the front door-when everyone least expects it.

About The Author beige

Tracy WolffTracy Wolff collects books, English degrees and lipsticks and has been known to forget where—and sometimes who—she is when immersed in a great novel. At six she wrote her first short story—something with a rainbow and a prince—and at seven she forayed into the wonderful world of girls lit with her first Judy Blume novel. By ten she’d read everything in the young adult and classics sections of her local bookstore, so in desperation her mom started her on romance novels. And from the first page of the first book, Tracy knew she’d found her life-long love. Now an English professor at her local community college, she writes romances that run the gamut from contemporary to paranormal to erotic suspense.

Addicted To YouABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 22, 2013

She’s addicted to sex. He’s addicted to booze…the only way out is rock bottom.

No one would suspect shy Lily Calloway’s biggest secret. While everyone is dancing at college bars, Lily stays in the bathroom. To get laid. Her compulsion leads her to one-night stands, steamy hookups and events she shamefully regrets. The only person who knows her secret happens to have one of his own.

Loren Hale’s best friend is his bottle of bourbon. Lily comes at a close second. For three years, they’ve pretended to be in a real relationship, hiding their addictions from their families. They’ve mastered the art of concealing flasks and random guys that filter in and out of their apartment.

But as they sink beneath the weight of their addictions, they cling harder to their destructive relationship and wonder if a life together, for real, is better than a lie. Strangers and family begin to infiltrate their guarded lives, and with new challenges, they realize they may not just be addicted to alcohol and sex.

Their real vice may be each other.

REVIEW: ADDICTED TO YOU is the first storyline in Krista Ritchie’s contemporary, new adult series focusing on two twenty year old Ivy League college students who enable one another’s addictions. Lily Calloway is addicted to sex and Loren (Lo) Hale is addicted to alcohol. ADDICTED TO YOU is the beginning of their story; one that follows Lily and Lo as they give in to the demands of their bodies and one another.

The premise follows Lily as she continuously places herself in danger for the next sexual fix. Nothing and no one is off limits including internet porn, gigolos and the nameless, faceless strangers she seduces every night. As Lo tries to help Lily with her addiction he is pulled deeper into the bottle until both of their situations affect not only their own lives but those of friends and family.

The family backgrounds play a significant role in the storyline. All of the major characters are from wealthy, uber rich and ultimately controlling families. There is no question that money breeds strange bedfellows and in this there appears to have been quite a bit of bed hopping from one generation to the next. As the heirs apparent to their family businesses, our class of wonder children makes you cringe at the possibility about the who and what running the Fortune 500 companies and controlling world powers.

Sex addiction is primarily a disorder that affects men but there are cases of women who cannot control their compulsions and impulses-yes sexual addiction is considered an OCD. In many ways, there is a double standard, as it addresses sexual addiction-men are alpha and horny; women are sluts and whores. And like most addictions, there is always a secondary psychological problem in play that pushes the addict into risky situations. Krista Ritchie has apparently done some homework with the issues of sex and alcoholism, for our couple is endowed with most of the side effects (public and private) including enabling one another with their demons.

This is not an easy story to read; you can’t help but sit in judgment against a young woman who thinks only of herself and her next orgasm. There are very few redeeming qualities in our couple but when the truth is finally revealed, help will come from the most unexpected revelations.

Krista & Becca Ritchie has written an introductory storyline that is gritty, raw and abrasive. There is no overt sexual situations-most are implied or recalled. But in the end, ADDICTED TO YOU will make you question the reality of the world in which you live-because you really do not know anything about the people next door or of those you meet.

RicochetABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 2013

As a sex addict, Lily Calloway must do the impossible. Stay celibate for 90 days.

Cravings and fantasies become her new routine, but while Loren Hale recovers from his alcohol addiction, Lily wonders if he’ll realize what a monster she really is. After all, her sexual compulsions begin to rule her life the longer she stays faithful to him.

Progress. That’s what Lily’s striving for. But by trying to become closer to her family—people who aren’t aware of her addiction—she creates larger obstacles. When she spends time with her youngest sister, she learns more about her than she ever imagined and senses an unsettling connection between Daisy and Ryke Meadows.

With Lily and Lo’s dysfunctional relationship teetering and unbalanced, they will need to find a way to reconnect from miles apart. But the inability to “touch” proves to be one of the hardest tests on their road to recovery. Some love brushes the surface. Some love is deeper than skin.

Lily and Lo have three months to discover just how deep their love really goes.

——

Companion to the Sequel: A full-length New Adult Romance that continues where Addicted to You left off. As a companion novel, it bridges the gap between the first and second book. It is highly recommended to be read before Addicted for Now.

REVIEW: RICOCHET is the second instalment (novella) in Krista Ritchie’s contemporary, new adult Addicted series. The storylines takes place immediately follow the end of Addicted to You (Book 1) and ends just prior to the start of Addicted for Now (Book 2).

Krista & Becca Ritchie takes the reader into the mind of a sex addicted young woman as she endeavors to overcome some of her greatest fears and obsession with sex and getting off. This is a story about how one woman strives to keep the obsession from ruining her life only to discover that the compulsion is too strong. Lily struggles to keep a promise to herself and to the man that she loves. Recovery from addiction is hard but even harder when the drug that you crave is so close at hand.

RICOCHET is a novella that fills in some of the blanks of Lily and Lo’s prior history. We discover that the attraction to one another begins at an early age and so too, perhaps, the obsession and addictive tendencies that control their daily lives. We watch as Lily re-connects with her sisters and grows closer to the people who will be there through the times ahead.

Again, this will be a difficult storyline for many readers. There is no graphic sex only implied, but the actions of Lily Calloway will make you think about the reality of life for people who suffer with a similar addiction.

New Adult Romance recommended for readers 18+ for mature content

REVIEW: ADDICTED FOR NOW is the third instalment in Krista Ritchie’s new adult, contemporary Addicted series focusing on two young twenty something adults with some dark and dangerous addictions. In this particular storyline Loren (Lo) is a recovering alcoholic and Lily is in treatment for sex addiction. The Addicted Series pulls the reader into the ugly world of addiction and the resulting damage and destruction that comes with the inability to stop or just say no.

The storyline focuses on Lily and Loren’s recovery. Lo has just returned from a three month stint in rehab where he has had no access to Lily-his best friend and partner. Lily’s ongoing treatment for sex addiction will play a major role in Loren’s recovery especially when he realizes the how and why of Lily’s deep seated need for sex. This is a couple who have enabled each other for years and their recovery and subsequent survival will depend on the support of family, friends and each other. But like all dark stories, someone wants Lily and Lo to fail. As Loren and their group of friends begin to search for the person or people responsible, Lily begins to slide into her old habits when the threats come from an unlikely source.

ADDICTED FOR NOW and the Addicted Series are a gritty, no nonsense storyline about addiction and recovery. In this particular series Krista Ritchie address sex addiction and holds nothing back when a young woman places herself in danger at every opportunity with her need and addiction to sex. The storyline is told from alternating first person POVs –Lily and Lo- and makes no apologies for the dark side of addiction and pain.
