Spark’s attraction to Zoe is further realized when he and Zoe take their friendship to the next level but the past refuses to let go, and their relationship may be the catalyst in the breakdown of Zoe’s relationship with her father. Meanwhile, someone else has started a brothel , in direct competition with the Reaper’s Rejects ‘Bad Bunnies, and the club is losing money, so much so, that the club is about to send undercover operatives to gather information about the who, how and why.

The world building follows several paths including the forbidden relationship between our story line couple: Zoe’s online persona developing adult only content ; and the vengeful nature of someone believed to have been scorned.

The relationship between Zoe and Spark is a friends to lover in the face of betrayal. Zoe is off-limits so our couple keep their affair on the down-low but someone else is determined to destroy our story line couple, and in doing so, reveals the true nature of Zoe’s online persona. The $ex scenes are intimate and impassioned.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, familiar and dynamic secondary and supporting characters including several MC members from the original Reaper’s Rejects MC including Zoe’s father and SAA Widow, his ol’ lady Tania, Zoe’s mother Rebel; Turmoil, Doc, Dixon club prez Damon, and Zoe’s friend Mandy.

REVIEW: Heartbreaker is the fourth installment in the Spade hotel series by the ever brilliant Marni Mann. As most of the other books in the series are the same, HB is a single bad, age gap,billionaire romance, each book in the series can be read as a standalone, but as I always recommend, reading the series in order gives a much better feel for the character and the plot.

In typical Marni fashion Ridge and Addison meet in a not so normal way, AKA a strip club, so of course Ridge wants to get to know her better. They meet, they converse, they get it on in a hot and sweaty night of passion. Ridge waits for Addison to contact him, but she never does. Poor Addison isn’t one for hookups, let alone strip club hook ups, to say she is mortified is an understatement so she does the last thing she can think of, she ghosts him. After all, being a dancer isn’t bad, but she has her reasons for being so, reasons that she doesn’t want to share.

The plot twist on this one, to say that Ms. Author was hiding the punch line! Low and behold, after thinking she will never see Ridge again, Addison gets a surprise in the form of being Ridge’s daughter’s teacher. Her teacher, she slept with a student’s parent. Oh that was such a kick in the pants to read. Addison and Ridge have a strong connection, and Ridge is like the perfect mixture of supportive guy and take charge guy.

I really enjoyed the story on this read, the interaction between Ridge, Daisy and Addison made some of the sweetest moments. The mix between the sweet moments and the spicy bits really made the story quick and memorable for me. Ridge went above and beyond to make himself clear to Addison that he didn’t just want her in his bed, he wanted everything with her. I really loved the big gestures he made for her, not because she needed them per se but more because HE wanted to do them for HER, he wanted her to know how much he wanted her. Heartbreaker left me smiling and ready for another happy ending.

REVIEW:Laramie Briscoe has dropped another knockout! The Air I Breathe is a spicy celebrity, sports romance filled with angst, drama and second chances.

Willa is a pop-star, think T-Swift on overload if that’s possible, she does what she does and lives her life wild and free like she has always wanted to. Music is in her blood and the connection with it and her fans means everything to her. However, with every great song-writer there comes a past attached to it, and normally one with many stories. With her past, Willa has become cautious and guarded, agreeing to the type of meet up she does is out of character for her, but one she hopes will be a good thing.

Little does she know, it’s going to turn her whole life topseturvey.

Willa and Blake (who is such a sweetheart by the way!) are a match made in music heaven! This book was a kick in the pants with the laughter, and for once I can really say that listening to a killer music playlist while reading really did justice to the book. Willa and Blake try to manage a relationship in the public eye, and slowly start to realize how difficult it really can be. Everyone wants so much from them, their time, energy, music, love, they both love who they are and after some serious soul searching decide to make a true go at their relationship.

Blake and Willa had such great chemistry and banter and I think that is what had me coming back for more with each page. The Air I Breathe is a very happy go lucky, fluff book that had me grinning like an idiot while I was reading and frankly it was just happy, and sometimes that is all a reader wants in a book.

This is driver Oliver Rossi, and Sofia Navarro’s story line. OUT OF CONTROL can be read as a stand alone but for back story I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as there is a continuing premise throughout. Sofia is the sister of Formula 1 driver Cruz Navarro ON THE EDGE #2.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Sofia and Oliver) OUT OF CONTROL follows the forbidden relationship between our story line couple. Oliver Rossi is the embattled new member of the Gravitas F1 team, a driver with a reputation as difficult and dangerous but a man whose entire life he has struggled to prove he is worthy. Oliver Rossi is persona non grata in the world of Formula 1, and even his own teammates struggle to accept our hero as one of their own. Oliver wants to be number one but all eyes are on Sofia’s brother Cruz, pushing Oliver to number two in more ways than one. Falling for Sofia meant betraying his teammates demands but Oliver never expected to fall in love with someone who is struggling for her own acceptance. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate but I am not a fan of use of a certain four-letter word, although only used once, more for shock than anything else.

REVIEW:A great way to say goodbye to the Knight family and the series 😊

The final book is Eliot Knight, he has long taken on the responsibilities of the Knight Ranch. He’s made a few appearances/mentions in previous books, and I was curious to meet me. He seems like a stand-up guy. Putting the needs of the family before his own, I did wonder if that ever got to be a problem….

Lily on the other hand is terrified of losing her home! The inheritance Lily received from her grandmother, states in order to keep the home, Lily needs to be married! (Rather archaic if you ask me 🤨) and if she doesn’t have a home, then how can she work?

Their initial meeting wasn’t exactly a meeting of souls 😆, but they definitely made lasting impressions on each other.

Eliot walks in on a conversation with Lily and her aunt at just the right time. And being the gentleman he is goes right along with Lily! (He walks in as Lily is claiming that Eliot and her dating!! Oops)

They enter a marriage of convenience so that Lily can inherit her grandmother’s farmhouse and land. It’s only for a year, they can manage a year, right? Though they pretend to be married and living together when needed, the chemistry begins fly between them. And Eliot finally realizes that life is more than just working at the ranch!
He also realises it’s time to confront his troubled relationship with his mother!

Lily wants and needs to be independent, she wants to make it on her own. But can she keep her heart out of this marriage? It’s looking harder and harder! She fears that she’s falling for her “fake” husband!

I loved the ending of this book, even though I wasn’t sure they would make it! I liked how Eliot decides that he wants his little ready made family, and will do anything to keep it. Lily did keep him on his toes 😆 We also get to catch up with the Knight siblings.

I love the chemistry, the banter and the rapport between Lily and Eliot.
Right from the first they are attracted to each other, but neither are willing to put their feelings on the line!

I’ve read a d loved all the previous books, and there is no need to worry if you haven’t read any before this one (they all stand on their own, and can be read out of order with no problems)

I’m sad to say goodbye, but I know it won’t be long before the author gives me a new family 😉 to obsess over.

A highly recommended read 👍🏻

REVIEW: HEMLOCK is the first instalment in Marie James’ contemporary, adult CERBERUS MC: TENNESSEE erotic, MC romance series-a spin off from the author’s CERBERUS MC series. This is former US Marine Pax ‘Hemlock ‘ Hart and bartender Zara Hailey’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Zara and Pax) HEMLOCK follows Pax ‘Hemlock ‘ Hart as he starts a new life with Tennessee chapter of the Cerberus MC. Struggling to find a place, a direction in life, former US Marine Pax ‘Hemlock’ Hart is desperate for a change of scenery, and finds himself transferred to Tennessee with the new chapter of the Cerberus MC but Hemlock’s first assignment is to infiltrate a bar suspected as a front for human trafficking, a bar where he will meet Zara Hailey, the woman with whom Hemlock will fall in love. Under cover as Owen Clark, Hemlock will take advantage of a naive Zara Hailey as he tries to uncover the truth about the secrets at the local bar. What ensues is the building but tempestuous relationship between Zara and Hemlock, and the potential fall-out as Hemlock believes he is not worthy of his own happily ever after.

The world building follows the building but reluctant relationship between our story line couple as Hemlock goes in undercover to ferret out a potential human trafficking ring. The members of the Cerberus MC are all former military men, and in this, their duty to serve and protect is often counterproductive when the heart wants something more.

The relationship between Hemlock and Zara is forbidden by Hemlock’s current handler; a relationship predicated on a lie; an affair of which Hemlock wants nothing more than information and a good time. Zara claims she doesn’t want love but the more time spent together finds our heroine falling for a man who is hard to love. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative but I dislike the use of a certain four-letter word.

We are introduced to several members of the newly established Cerberus MC: Tennessee, as well as Roman ‘Jersey’ Parker; ICE Special Agent Eddie ‘Ace’ Yarrow and some familiar faces from the original Cerberus MC including Kincaid.

HEMLOCK is a story of struggle and obsession, secrets and lies, friendships and family, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is intriguing, dramatic and captivating but the ‘take down’ of the bad guy was mostly behind the scenes; the romance was aggressive and intense; the characters were dynamic yet broken.
