Tommy doesn’t do relationships.
Livvy doesn’t do one-night-stands.

By the time she finds out that he’s a rock star with serious commitment issues, it’s too late, she’s fallen for him. But, how can an average girl snare a sexy rock star? By pretending she not so average…

Tommy, drummer for the band Cold Fusion, is used to partying hard. Every night there’s a new woman in his bed, and that’s the way he likes it. From the moment they first meet, Livvy intrigues him; she’s so different from all the other girls. Despite his reluctance for ‘repeat sex’, he is drawn in by her crazy antics.

Livvy knows she has to step up her game to keep the hunky playboy interested. When she turns the tables on him, Tommy can’t seem to get enough. But can she keep up the crazy charade or will she find herself in way over her head

REVIEW: ROCK ME: CRAZY is the third storyline in Arabella Quinn’s Rock Me novella series focusing on the members of the rock group Cold fusion. This is Tommy (the drummer) and Livvy’s storyline. Although this is the third novella, it can be read as a stand alone without too much difficulty.

Livvy has no idea who is the mysterious stranger at the bar. In fact, she is there as her friend’s wingman and when everything goes wrong, Livvy has no idea with what or whom she is about to deal. But a few dinner dates and evenings later, Livvy will discover that the man with whom she is falling in love, is none other than the drummer for the rock band Cold Fusion and Tommy wants a relationship based on ‘friends with benefits’ and nothing more.

The storyline and the relationship build as Livvy tries to prove to Tommy that she is a willing candidate as his FWB but Livvy must develop a thick skin and learn a few tricks to keep Tommy interested. In this, there are some humorous moments as Livvy tries to prove that she is ready, willing and knowledgeable about a lifestyle she knows nothing about and Tommy is patient with the woman who could very well own him body and soul.

As far as rock genre storylines go, this is similar to many but one thing I did take issue with is the lack of or no protection during sex. The storyline is rife with sexual encounters between members of the band and various men and women and not once was there any mention of protection. In this, I found the storyline a bit unbelievable considering the rock industry is filled with stories of STDs, AIDS and sexual experimentation. But, it is a fictional storyline, with fictional characters and apparently there are no fictional STDs.

If you like a rock star storyline that is gritty, fun, sexually explicit and pulls no punches talking about a lifestyle that very few will ever experience, ROCK ME: CRAZY is the perfect read.
