BAYOU NOEL (Bayou Heat Novella 8.5) by Laura Wright
ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date December 2013
Tis the season for new beginnings:
Molly has spent her last Christmas alone. After waiting five years for Garrick to notice her as more than his mother’s caregiver. The aggravating male might always have a place in her heart, but she’s determined to find someone who wants to build a family with her. She had no idea that writing a letter of resignation would bring Garrick back to the Wildlands.
It will take a Christmas miracle to bring them together:
Garrick can’t believe that Molly is willing to walk away. She’d not only become irreplaceable to his mother, but he’d become addicted to her letters when he was far away from home. He’d be damned if he was going to let her slip away. But once back in the Wildlands, Garrick is forced to choose between opening his heart to the female he loves or risk losing her forever.
REVIEW: BAYOU NOEL is the latest instalment in the BAYOU HEAT paranormal, romance series written by Laura Wright and Alexandra Ivy. The focus of the series is on a group of panther shifters known as the Pantera and their need to find mates. Without a suitable mate, the Pantera species is dying and with it comes an attack from the outside. But this is a prequel novella-one that focuses on a Pantera Healer –Molly and the Pantera Suit-Garrick. As the holidays draw near, Garrick learns that his mother’s aid and Healer Molly has turned in her resignation following five years of service.
The storyline follows Molly as she is resigned to the fact that the man with whom she has fallen in love refuses to acknowledge her existence. Five years of caring for his mother, Molly believes she has become no more than an indentured servant and wants to find someone who will love her in return.
Garrick is an Alpha male who believes he is not worthy of a mate and family and, ignores the obvious (like many men will do). But when Molly shuts the door for the final time, Garrick knows that the only woman for him is the one who walked away.
BAYOU NOEL is a quick read; an endearing storyline about two people who are perfect for one another but as usual one is oblivious to the heat and attraction. This is a story set several years earlier and spans the globe from Paris to New Orleans. It is a welcome read and one that will make you smile when our couple light a holiday candle to family and a happily ever after.
