ABOUT THE BOOK : Release Date July 17, 2017
The first time I met Caine West was in a bar.
He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out.
When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight—telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass.
You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend–smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married.
He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he’d done.
Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant.
Only it turned out, the man I’d just told off wasn’t the right guy.
Oops. My mistake.
Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology.
I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right?
That’s what I thought…until I walked into class the next morning.
Well, hello Professor West, I’m your new teaching assistant.
I’ll be working under you…figuratively speaking.
Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing—working under Professor West.
This was going to be interesting…

REVIEW: BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE by Vi Keeland is a stand alone, contemporary, adult romance story line focusing on music professor Caine West, and his new TA / waitress Rachel Martin.
Told from dual first person points of view (Caine and Rachel) including memories from the past BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE follows the building relationship between music professor Caine West, and his new TA Rachel Martin. A case of mistaken identity found Rachel face to face with the man who would one day break her heart as Caine believes he is not worthy of love or a happily ever after. As Rachel’s new boss, Caine is reluctant to start a romantic relationship with he new TA but the heart wants something more than a professional arrangement but past sins force Caine to keep his distance-a distance that grows smaller with every encounter. What ensues is the growing love between Caine and Rachel, and the potential fall out when Caine pushes away Rachel one too many times.
Throughout BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE we get glimpses into the past-a past shrouded in betrayal and secrets as one man struggles with what was and what could have been. Rachel’s love for Caine is continuously threatened by Caine’s inability to accept the woman who has stolen his heart. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are introduced to Rachel’s ex-boyfriend and former roommate Davis, her older sister Riley, best friend and co-worker at O’Leary’s bar Ava, as well as their boss and Rachel’s adopted father Charlie O’Leary; Caine’s nieces, and Lydia and Umberto-an older couple struggling with Alzheimer’s and forgotten love.
The relationship between Caine and Rachel is one of palpable sexual attraction but a forbidden love as Caine is currently Rachel’s boss and mentor. Rachel struggles with Caine’s back and forth demeanor, and Caine battles his attraction to the woman he is destined to love.
BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE is a story of fated love with a twist that I suspected early on. The premise is heartbreaking and emotional; the characters are colorful, edgy and real; the romance is captivating and challenging. BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE in an intimate and energetic tale that will leave you wanting more.
