Tyke Douglas is tired of being the glue that holds the hottest band in the world together. If the rest of the guys are out doing their own thing, then why shouldn’t he? He’s about to turn things up a notch and bring a whole new level of crazy into Black Falcon’s world.

Francine Mead is putting her sordid past behind and is determined to help others overcome their demons along side her. The first step in her new life is taking a job as an addiction counselor, where she can mentor others through their struggles. Both Tyke and Francine know a relationship between them would be a disaster, but with each session, things continue to heat up, making it impossible to deny the connection they share. Boundaries cross, attractions heighten and both of their willpowers will be tested to the very limit.

Novel centers around Tyke Douglas, bassist of Black Falcon, and is the final book in the series.

REVIEW: ROCK MY BODY is the fourth full length and final installment in Michelle A. Valentine’s adult, contemporary Black Falcon erotic romance series focusing on the members of the rock group Black Falcon. This is guitarist and song writer Tyke Douglas, and addiction counselor Dr. Francine Mead’s storyline.

Told from alternating first person points of view (Tyke and Frannie) the premise of ROCK MY BODY focuses on Tyke’s spiral into addiction. Feeling ‘left out’ and going nowhere fast, Tyke’s jealousy of his band mate’s happiness turns inward and Tyke finds himself behind bars without any memory of what happened or why. When his fellow musicians send him packing, he decides to take matters into his own hand but winding up in rehab wasn’t on his list of things to do. Enter Dr. Francine Mead-an addiction counselor whose own addiction will be tested when she meets the gorgeous rock star.

The relationship between Tyke and Frannie is very quick to develop-in fact-so quickly that love at first sight is exactly what occurs between our storyline couple. Frannie knows that to get involved with a patient is ethically wrong but their attraction to one another cannot be denied. Not only does Frannie find herself falling in love but it is Tyke who begins to push for something more permanent. That is until someone at the rehab centre has proof that there is more between Tyke and Frannie than a professional relationship. The sex scenes are not romantic or seductive; in fact the sex is spur of the moment and intense because our couple are testing the ethical values of patient and doctor relationship, and time is of the essence so they don’t get caught.

ROCK MY BODY is a fast paced, quick developing storyline that focuses on the relationship between two addicts whose lives begin to spiral out of control. There are moments of heartbreak, anger and painful realization but in the end there is a happily ever after for the last single member of the Black Falcon band. The epilogue fast forwards the series approximately one year where we will get a glimpse into the lives of the members of Black Falcon.

The secondary characters include the members of Black Falcon for cohesion and familiarity, some of the rehab centre employees and patients, as well as a look into Dr. Mead’s family dynamics. Each chapter begins with a reference to a ‘real life’ song and singer; and throughout we find Tyke writing lyrics as they pertain to his life and his growing love for Francine Mead.

Great series. Wonderful characters. Amazing author.

I flip through the rest of the links, studying more pictures of Tyke. He’s very easy on the eyes with his tall frame, tan complexion, and light hair. Even though he and Trip are twins, their hair sets them apart, making it very easy to tell the difference between them. The more I stare at the man on my screen, the more addicted I become to his profile. He’s devastatingly handsome, and the thought of how attracted I am to just his mere picture scares the shit out of me.
How am I ever supposed to concentrate on helping this man when he’s my own personal brand of tattooed man-flavored candy? This will prove to be a very difficult task, for sure. The best I can hope for is to find that he’s simply photogenic and absolutely hideous in person.
I close my laptop and set it on my nightstand before I tug my glasses from my face and set them on top of it. I double-check my alarm clock and then snuggle down in my bed after offering up a little prayer that I’ll be able to contain myself tomorrow. If Tyke is the stereotypical bad-boy rocker that he appears to be, I’ll need all the help I can get to keep from jumping his bones and jeopardizing the job I’ve worked so hard to get.

ROCK THE BEAT (Black Falcon #3) by Michelle A. Valentine

ABOUT THE BOOK: October 30, 2013

Twenty-year-old Holly Pearson never dreamed that while working at her father’s motocross track she’d run into the walking, talking definition of trouble in a sexy, tattooed package—Trip Douglas, the man sent to evaluate the track for a possible investment opportunity. Holly makes no attempt to hide the fact she despises Trip, but she learns to be civil toward him when he offers to help her land the man of her dreams.

Trip needs a break from the crazy rock-and-roll lifestyle he’s been living for the past few years. With his Black Falcon band mates settling down with marriage and babies, Trip peruses an investment opportunity in motocross, something he’s always been passionate about. Hiding his celebrity status, Trip infiltrates the new business posing as a dirt bike rider training for the X-Games. The only obstacle is the owner’s daughter, Holly. She’s a real ball bustin’ Ice Queen, and she’ll do whatever it takes to make the deal fall through. Trip soon discovers that winning over his new enemy is the key to gaining a partnership in Mountain Time Speed Track.

Knowing he’s the expert on getting laid, Trip ropes Holly into becoming his ally by helping her score a date with the man she’s crushing on. The problem is, the more time Trip and Holly spend together, the more they uncover the undeniable attraction between them. Soon they both realize that even the best laid plans go to hell when you find you’re falling in love with the enemy.

**Book THREE in the Black Falcon series. Can also be read as a stand alone novel.**

•••••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: ROCK THE BEAT is the October 2013 instalment in Michelle A Valentine’s contemporary rock genre romance series-Black Falcon. Although this is the third full-length storyline, Rock The Beat can be read as a stand alone but I would recommend reading in order to understand the references and previous storyline characters.

Rock The Beat finds Black Falcon drummer Trip Douglas looking to invest in a moto-cross business during his down time from the band. While Noah and Riff are spending time with their young families, Trip discovers a little gem of a sports venue needing a quick influx of cash and Trip is ready, willing and able. But first, Trip goes in under cover as a representative for the investor hoping to learn the truth behind the business’s current drop in productivity and cash flow. Enter Holly Pearson, the owner’s daughter, and the young woman with whom Trip will fall in love.

The relationship is slow to build as Trip and Holly meet under drunken circumstances and the ensuing days to weeks will find Trip trying to make amends for his initial behavior. But Holly’s heart has been broken by a former love and Trip represents everything that Holly does not want-especially when he has lied about his identity and about whom he actually represents.

The secondary characters are colorful mix including Holly’s best friend Max; her ex boyfriend and her ailing parents. There is definitely a need for a story or novella revolving around Max and one that Michelle has quietly introduced through a letter in the storyline.

There is limited interaction with the previous storyline characters and Black Falcon members until the final few pages of the novel. But saying that, there is also a building story for Trip’s twin Tyke who has been growing restless while the rest of the band members fall in love and take time to smell the roses. If you were looking for a storyline involving music and tours, Rock the Beat takes a different path.

Michelle A Valentine has written a story for Trip that will find the bad boy drummer tamed by a twenty year old woman who has had her fair share of hard times and broken promises. Rock The Beat is a storyline of heartbreak and sorrow; betrayal and redemption; love and letting go. It is also a story with a happily ever after for now and one that I hope will continue into the next instalment.

“I’m Trip Douglas. It looks like you and I will be getting cozy while you show me the ins and outs of this place.”

I stare down at his hand. Ugh. This is so not happening to me. Our family business is going down the freaking toilet and I have to depend on the guy who thinks with his dick to pull us out of the hole? Maybe the investor can send someone else? Anyone else! No way is some rich, old dude relying solely on Trip’s judgments of the place to make a huge financial commitment? This guy can’t be trusted with something so important. This guy can’t stick with the same woman for five minutes, let alone see such a huge business deal through.

Trip wiggles his fingers at me. “Come on. They won’t bite.”

Dad needs this partnership to work for the sake of the track. He told me last week how important it was for this business to get it. If it doesn’t go through, we’re in big trouble.

Reluctantly, I take his hand. It’s warm and rough against my own skin and it’s hard not to think about the way he felt pressed against me last night as he gives it a couple of quick shakes.

“Holly Pearson.”

ABOUT THE BOOK: January 29, 2013

After Noel Falcon professed his love to the one girl who truly holds his heart in the palm of her hand, he decides to try his damndest to keep Lane Vance in his life forever this time. There’s no way he’ll let her slip through his fingers again without a fight.

The instant they are together Noel begins to plot a way to ask his headstrong lady-love to be his wife, but every attempt to pop the question is foiled by a string of mishaps that prevents him from the perfect moment to get the job done before he goes back on tour with Black Falcon.

Distance is a bigger challenge than Noel expects, and the one-eyed beast of jealous raises its ugly head when Lane takes on a job working on an ad campaign for Embrace the Darkness. With Striker—a man that’s made it clear in the past he’s very interested in more then her business sense—lurking around her constantly, Noel wants to claim Lane now, more than ever.

REVIEW: ROCK THE BAND is a short novella in Michelle A. Valentine’s new adult, contemporary Black Falcon series focusing on the lives and loves of the member of the rock band Black Falcon. Rock the Band is a short story told from Noel’s POV and takes place immediately after Rock the Heart (book 1).

In the first storyline our couple reconnected after several years apart when Lanie was assigned by her employer to follow and get the inside scoop on Noel Falcon and his connection to the children’s foundation for Dyslexia. As with any romance storyline, our couple traversed the minefield of misunderstandings, broken hearts and secrets, but in the end, welcomed a HEA.

Rock the Band furthers Lanie and Noel’s storyline as Noel prepares to take Lanie on the road with the Black Falcons. But an emergency will force Lanie back home and it is during her absence that Noel realizes that he wants Lanie in his life forever and his knows just how he is going to ask the woman that he loves to be his wife.

Rock the Band is a quick read; a short story that adds a new dimension to the couple and what lies in store for their future. There is none of the first storyline’s angst and hidden agendas; there are no secrets and no broken promises; only two people whose lives are about to change in more ways than one.

If you found yourself a fan of Rock the Heart, you will welcome this addition to the Black Falcon series. And as with any series, Lanie and Noel’s story will continue as the Black Falcons take their music and their stories-on the road.

Rock My BedROCK MY BED (Black Falcon #2) by Michelle A Valentine

ABOUT THE BOOK: April 22, 2013

Everything always seems to fall into place for twenty-four year-old Aubrey Jenson, except for when it comes to her luck with men. Bad boys always draw her in and crush her heart, and Black Falcon’s lead guitarist, Riff, is no exception. After sharing a few wild nights together, she leaves him behind knowing a guy like Riff isn’t the relationship type, merely just a play thing.

When she returns to New York, she tries to get the passion she felt in Riff’s arms out of her head by dating Isaac, a successful representative at Center Stage Marketing. Just when she thinks she’s forgotten Riff, she’s forced to see him again when her best friend, Lanie, ropes her into being a bridesmaid for her upcoming wedding to Black Falcon front man, Noel.

Sparks fly instantly between Aubrey and Riff when they’re forced to reunite, and suddenly she finds herself caught between the man that’s good for her and the one who completely rocks her in every way.

REVIEW: ROCK MY BED is the second novel but third storyline in Michelle A. Valentine’s New Adult, contemporary Black Falcon series focusing on the lives and loves of the members of the rock band Black Falcon. Rock My Bed is Aubrey and Riff’s storyline and it runs parallel to the events in Rock the Heart (Noel and Lanie’s story) and some of the premise overlaps. What the reader experiences is Riff’s take on the betrayal by Noel and finding Aubrey Jenson as the woman to ‘rock his world’. The storyline is told from two distinct POVs-Aubrey and Riff’s.

Aubrey is Lanie’s BFF and co-worker at Center Stage Marketing and she will soon discover that her position with CSM and friendship with Lanie are at odds due to a conflict of interest between work and friend. When Aubrey is sent to ‘spy’ on Lanie she will discover Riff (aka Zach), the lead guitarist for Black Falcon and the man who is about to change the rules. When opportunity presents itself for a quick fling and a one night stand, neither one thought they would lose their hearts and fall in love.

Michelle Valentine invites the reader into the back stage world of rock gods and groupies. Rock My Bed follows Aubrey and Riff as they enter into a long distance relationship-first through texting; phone calls; cross country flights and weekend get togethers until Riff wants to make sure Aubrey becomes a permanent part of his life.

We learn that life is not all fun and games on the road especially when many of the characters are hiding secret pasts, heartbreaking family history and a reluctance to get involved knowing that the life of a rock star is not conducive to a permanent relationship. And Aubrey has a decision to make when opportunity presents itself-a future with CSM or a future with Riff.

The relationship between Riff and Aubrey is hot, sexual and real. Aubrey is from a well to do, connected family and her experience in the bedroom is about to be explored. Riff is the ultimate bad boy; not only by reputation and history, but by appearance as well. He is tattooed, pierced and sports a two toned Mohawk and although he is the epitome of a rock and rock lifestyle, he is also a parent’s worse nightmare where their daughter may be concerned.

The storyline is fast paced. Riff and Aubrey are both likeable characters who could break your heart. The reader learns more about Riff as he opens up to the woman that he loves: and both of their issues with family, trust and betrayal.

If you like a storyline of rock gods and bad boy sexy musicians, the Black Falcon series by Michelle A Valentine is the perfect series. She brings just the right amount of sex, romance and heartbreak. And in the end, even the bad boy can be tamed by a wild cat.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 26, 2013

After Aubrey Jenson is wrongly dismissed from her job at Center Stage Marketing, she seeks legal advice from her father, The Judge, to see what grounds she has to get her position reinstated. Her surprise visit to her family doesn’t go as smoothly as she hopes when she brings home her new boyfriend, Zach, Black Falcon’s lead guitarist. She soon discovers that father doesn’t always know best when it comes to matters of the heart.

When Zach meets Aubrey’s family, he’s immediately faced with his deepest fear: The love he so desperately wants, he doesn’t deserve. The Judge makes no attempt to hide his disdain for Zach, and will stop at nothing to keep him away from his daughter. But an unexpected twist turns everyone’s plans upside down and no one’s world will ever be the same.

Outside forces attempting to pull them apart are strong and it’s going to take every bit of Zach and Aubrey’s love for one another to withstand the fall-out. Soon, they discover making love last is harder than finding it to begin with and sometimes you pay the ultimate price for true love.

REVIEW: ROCK MY WORLD is the fourth storyline (second novella) in Michelle A Valentine’s New Adult genre Black Falcon contemporary romance series focusing on the lives and loves of the members of the rock band Black Falcon. This particular novella continues Aubrey and Riff’s storyline and takes place immediately following Rock My Bed.

The relationship between Riff and Aubrey has already been established. They are a perfect pair; they are in love; the romance is sensual and hot but….there is always a but and in this particular case… it is family. Not only does Riff’s father continue to harass and threaten Riff but Aubrey’s family makes it known that they will not tolerate her relationship with Riff. And to complicate matters, Aubrey’s father is a judge and he is willing to open up old wounds and sealed files to insure Riff is no longer in Aubrey’s life.

The storyline is once again fast paced. There is pain of family betrayal; the threats against Riff and his bandmates and, a near fatal accident will put everything into perspective. Riff and Aubrey belong together. Their story is emotional as well as heartbreaking; and it also proves, that just because one is related by blood, doesn’t give them the right to control your life. Sometimes family is the one sitting beside you, singing a song and supporting you when life reaches its’ lowest point.

ROCK THE HEART (Black Falcon #1) by Michelle Valentine

ABOUT THE BOOK: November 2012

For the last four years, good girl Lane has regretted breaking up with Noel Falcon. She thought she was sensible when she told him his dreams of being a rock star would get him nowhere, but now that he’s a rock god and her career is stagnant, she realizes just how wrong she was. When Noel hires the marketing company where Lane is an intern, she’s forced to see him again. If she wants to land her dream job as executive within the company, she has to win him over and secure his account. Too bad Noel is still pissed at her for breaking his heart.

•••••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: ROCK THE HEART is the first storyline in Michelle Valentine’s contemporary, new adult Black Falcon series featuring the lives and love of the rock band Black Falcon. Rock The Heart features Noel Falcon and Lanie Vance. Our hero and heroine have been friends all of their lives and in this the relationship build up was non existent. High school would find their relationship become one of friends to lovers but Lanie’s desire to attend college and her hopes that Noel would follow were shattered when Noel chose his music. Breaking up with Noel was difficult but Lanie never realized how hard their break up would be on the only man she has ever loved.

Rock The Heart fast-forwards four years after Lanie broke it off with Noel. There has been no communication between the two and when they are finally pushed together by circumstances and work, Lanie will discover that Noel has a few secrets. As the storyline progresses, Lanie and Noel will rekindle their passion and newfound addiction to each other, but when Noel’s secrets are finally revealed, Lanie realizes that she doesn’t know the man who has stolen her heart. Their love for one another is both powerful and heartbreaking but Lanie’s image of Noel is shattered when one of the band members reveals the truth behind the current animosity between himself and the others.

Noel is the epitome of bad boy rocker but for all intents and purposes, it is a ruse. His need and love for Lanie overshadows the bad-boy persona and he is instantly transformed into a man who would do anything for the love of his life. He wears his heart on his sleeve and in doing so, is more likely to get his heart broken when the woman that he loves walks away a second time.

Lanie, on the other hand, struck me as a woman with issues of control. She is the one who dumped Noel four years earlier and yet her feelings for the man continued to overwhelm her emotions and fears. And in doing so, she came across as cold and a b*tch. Trying to keep their current relationship professional, Lanie continued to play the wounded victim when she is the one who pushed Noel away. She plays a dangerous game with Noel’s feelings, continuously skirting the edge between love and hate. For this, I had a difficult time relating to or liking Lanie and as always, she was quick to assume the worst.

ROCK THE HEART is a fast paced storyline that introduces the members of Black Falcon and in doing so sets the stage for future stories. The reader is pulled into the back stage world and personal lives of the bad boys of rock, but in doing so we will learn that everything is not all happiness and roses. Michelle Valentine writes an interesting story of one man’s need for the girl who has stolen his heart many years before and of a love that only grew stronger with the absence of the one who made your heart beat; your blood flow and your soul sing with the angels.
