Wedding planner Honor Bellini is in Las Vegas for a work convention when she runs into her sister’s ex-fianc, Owen Stone, who’s also in town for his craft brewery business. They’re both glad to see a familiar face from home…until a night of drinking leads to waking up in bed together–and a marriage certificate from a wedding that neither of them can recall.

Horrified, Owen suggests an immediate annulment. Honor agrees, but when they spend the day together, their chemistry is overwhelming. Plus, Honor has a flash of memory of their steamy wedding night, and she definitely likes what she remembers. They decide to wait before cancelling the whole marriage thing, though they both head back to Oklahoma determined not to tell anyone at home what happened in Vegas.

The problem is, Honor and Owen can’t seem to stay away from each other–or keep their hands off one another. The longer they keep their secret, the harder it gets to deny how they really feel. Even worse, this huge secret has the potential to hurt someone they both care about. They need to get an annulment before this accidental marriage turns into love.

Review:

The Accidental Newlywed Game by Jaci Burton is the 3rd book in her wonderful Boots and Bouguets series.  The story revolves around the Bellini family’s winery, the three sisters (Erin, Brenna, Honor), who also run a wedding planning business.

Honor Bellini, our heroine, is the wedding planner for the family, with her attending a convention in Vegas.  She encounters her sister Erin’s ex fiancée, Owen, who is also in Vegas for his craft brewery business.  Since the family has forgiven Owen (he walked away a few days before the wedding), after learning why he left (cancer, chemo, et). Honor was happy to see Owen, a familiar face and together they spent the evening drinking at the bar; until they wake up in a hotel room together, with no recollection of what happened. Then they discover a wedding certificate showing they are married. At first, they decide to get an annulment, but Honor convinces Owen that they need to wait, since they have no idea if they had sex, and if she could be pregnant; so, they agree to go back home, and not tell anyone.

Both Honor and Owen began to spent a lot of time together, and the chemistry between them escalated, as they can’t seem to keep their hands off one another. Honor had a hard time keeping the secret from her family, especially as her relationship with Owen continued to bring them even closer.  Will they get the annulment/divorce or stay together?  How will Erin handle their relationship when she finds out?

What follows is a slow build romance, with a couple that was unexpected, especially with Owen. What I loved about this series is all three sisters, the wonderful Bellini family, wedding/winery business; and the great group of friends we have met throughout the series.  I rooted for Owen and Honor, as they really made a cute couple; and loved the dog, Bette.  I also liked Mae, and loved seeing all of the family again.

The Accidental Newlywed Game was an enjoyable story, especially seeing everyone. Jaci Burton has created a wonderful group of characters that are so much fun and enjoyable; with wonderful couples and family.  The Accidental Newlywed Game is a wonderful romance that was fun, entertaining and sexy.  If you enjoy wonderful romances, then look no further than Jaci Burton.

The Best Man Plan by Jaci Burton – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple / BAM / Book Depository

Description:
Three days before Erin Bellini’s wedding, her fiancé breaks up with her–in an email! Hurt and embarrassed, she decides to have a fling with veterinarian Jason Callum, who’s both the best man and the hottest guy she knows. But Jason wants a lot more than just a one-night stand with the woman he’s cared about for years. So he’s taking things slow. And hot. And showing Erin what real love can look like.

Suddenly Erin finds herself spending a lot more time with Jason than she intended. Feelings she never planned on having again are wrapping around her heart, refusing to let go. Erin isn’t sure she can trust her instincts, though. After all, she made a terrible choice with her ex-fiancé. But Jason intends to convince her that he’s the best man for her, and that what they have together is a real love that will last forever.

Review:

The Best Man Plan by Jaci Burton is the first book in her new Boots and Bouquets series.  Erin Bellini, our heroine, is devastated when her fiancé breaks up with her three days before the wedding.   Erin’s family runs a vineyard, and they also handle weddings, as the girls (sisters) are wedding planners. Erin is determined to still have a party, since their venue is now available, and she puts on a strong face.  Erin decides she wants revenge sex, and looks at her best friend, Jason.

Jason Callum, our hero, has always loved Erin, but was willing to step aside to allow his friend Owen to woo and win Erin’s heart.  Now with him gone with the wind, no one can understand why Owen left Erin holding the bag without talking to her, having sent an email. Jason has always been there for Erin, and now with her falling all over him, he doesn’t know how to handle her advances, assuming she is acting on the rebound.

Erin has an amazing family, great group of friends, including Jason, and they all are there to help support her.  I also loved both Jason and Erin’s puppies, who were so cute.  This is a friend to lovers’ story, and Erin has no idea that Jason has always loved her.  She is determined to have friends with benefits with Jason, as she finds him very sexy; but of course, no plans to become a relationship.  Jason himself is trying his best to avoid Erin’s advances, as he feels she is acting irrationally.  Best laid plans.  Lol

I will say that Erin and Jason were fantastic together, as they made a super couple, with sizzling chemistry.  Erin begins to realize that what she had with Owen wasn’t love, and Jason is the man for her.  Will she step out of denial and own up to her growing feelings for Jason?

The Best Man Plan was a fun, sweet, enjoyable story.  Besides Jason and Erin, I loved all the other wonderful characters, whom I expect to find more stories in the future books of this series.  I also loved the vineyard and wedding planning background.  Once again Jaci Burton gives us another wonderful romance, and a series I will need to keep reading.  I wholly recommend that you read this book.

Gorgeous, charming, and unlike any other man she’s ever met, finding the right woman for Clay should be easy….

Having grown up with the Bellini sisters, it’s no hardship for Clay to ride out the storm at their cozy family vineyard, especially since that means spending time with their savvy and smart houseguest. But despite Alice’s best efforts, he’s not the least bit interested in her matchmaking….

Alice is the only woman Clay wants. Now he just has to convince the matchmaker herself to give love a chance

Review:

The Matchmaker’s Mistletoe Mission by Jaci Burton is the first book in her new Boots and Bouquets series.  We meet our heroine, Alice Weatherford at the start when she arrives in Oklahoma, to help prepare for her best friend’s wedding that will happen in a week.  When Alice arrives at Red Moss Vineyard, the place for the wedding, she ends up stuck there when a major snowstorm hits. Alice is a successful matchmaker by trade, and works out of Los Angeles.

The Bellini family, who own Red Moss Vineyard, are very welcoming, offering Alice to stay there until the storm ends.  Clay Henry, our hero and a rancher, is a friend of the Bellini’s and ends up getting stuck at the vineyard during the storm.  Almost immediately, the attraction between Alice and Clay heats up, and in a short time a sizzling steamy relationship begins, with both knowing that there is only a week before Alice leaves.

What follows was a fun and romantic story, with a bit of a Christmas themed background, as well as the wedding preparations and venue.  It was fun to watch Alice try to set up Clay with the perfect woman that meets her experience as a matchmaker; she doesn’t get very far, as the both cannot resist each other and their chemistry is off the wall scorching hot. I really did like Alice, as she was a wonderful heroine, and very likable.  Clay was awesome too.  I also loved the Bellini sisters, and I do expect to see more of them in future books of this series.

The Matchmaker’s Mistletoe Mission was a lighthearted romance about two people who live different lives, and in the short period (one week) they fall in love, but can they work it out?  Jaci Burton once again gives us a sweet fun romantic story and couple.  I suggest you find the time to read The Matchmaker’s Mistletoe Mission.
