Description:
Country music’s golden boy Colton Wheeler felt the most perfect harmony when he was with Gretchen Winthrop. But for her, it was a love him and leave him situation. A year later, Colton is struggling to push his music forward in a new direction. If it weren’t about to be the most magical time of year and the support of the Bromance Book Club, he’d be wallowing in self-pity.

It’s hard for immigration attorney Gretchen not to feel a little Scrooge-ish about the excess of Christmas when her clients are scrambling to afford their rent. So when her estranged, wealthy family reaches out with an offer that will allow her to better serve the community, she’s unable to say no. She just needs to convince Colton to be the new face of her family’s whiskey brand. No big deal…

Colton agrees to consider Gretchen’s offer in exchange for three dates before Christmas. With the help of the Bromance Book Club, Colton throws himself into the task of proving to her there’s a spark between them. But Gretchen and Colton will both need to overcome the ghosts of Christmas past to build a future together.

Review:

A Very Merry Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams is the 5th book in her wonderful Bromance Book Club series.  Having enjoyed the first four books in this series, I looked forward to reading A Very Merry Bromance,   and happy to say I thought it was the best one yet. This is a fun romantic series that centers around a male book club group, most being athletes, and how they read and discuss romance novels to help teach each other how to handle their women with care and love.

Colton Wheeler, our hero, is a country music star, who is attending one of his friends (bromance book club members), wedding, and ends the evening with an amazing one-night stand with Gretchen Winthrop (she used to date Mack).   But she walks out in the morning claiming she needed to get back to her life, which did not include Colton.

Gretchen is an immigration attorney, who is an heiress of Winthrop family: one of Tennessee’s richest and most influential families.  But Gretchen is not close to her family, but when her brother asks her to help obtain Colton as a brand ambassador for the family-owned whiskey line, Carraig Aonair Whiskey, she agrees.  Gretchen forces herself to visit Colton, making an offer to be the face of the famous Carraig Aonair Whiskey.  Still unable to forget their glorious night together, Colton makes a counter offer; go on some dates with him.

Colton and Gretchen’s relationship becomes steamy, though she was a hard case to love.  Gretchen comes from a wealthy family, but the family did not treat her good; especially her bad brother, Evan. We totally understood how her family was unbearable; and why she was closed off.  I loved how Colton would push Gretchen to begin to enjoy Christmas, as well as meet all of his friends, making her know what a true family was like.

What follows is a fun sexy holiday story, that had many tender moments, as well as being emotional.  I enjoyed meeting Colton’s family, did not like the Winthrops, and loved seeing the wonderful members of the Bromance Book Club.  The guys were so much fun, and the women also joined in.

A Very Merry Romance was another humorous fun story line, with a couple that won us over later in the book, and the fantastic group of alpha men/females that had me laughing throughout.  Lyssa Kay Adams did a wonderful job writing this fun story, which you need to read.  I know I will be waiting for the next book in this series.

Description:
With his passion for romance novels, it was only a matter of time before Vlad wrote one.

Elena Konnikova has lived her entire adult life in the shadows. As the daughter of a Russian journalist who mysteriously disappeared, she escaped danger the only way she knew how: She married her childhood friend, Vladimir, and moved to the United States, where he is a professional hockey player in Nashville.

Vlad, aka the Russian, thought he could be content with his marriage of convenience. But it’s become too difficult to continue in a one-sided relationship. He joined the Bromance Book Club to learn how to make his wife love him, but all he’s learned is that he deserves more. He’s ready to create his own sweeping romance—both on and off the page.

The bros are unwilling to let Vlad forgo true love—and this time they’re not operating solo. They join forces with Vlad’s neighbors, a group of meddling widows who call themselves the Loners. But just when things finally look promising, Elena’s past life intrudes and their happily ever after is cast into doubt.

Review:

Isn’t It Bromantic by Lyssa Kay Adams is the 4th book in her Bromance Book Club series.  Having enjoyed the first three books in this series, I looked forward to reading Isn’t It Bromantic and happy to say it was equally as good.  This is a fun romantic series that centers around a male book club group, most being athletes, and how they read and discuss romance novels to help teach each other how to handle women with care and love.

Vlad (aka the Russian) takes center stage in this book. He is a famous professional hockey player, who was well loved by his friends, neighbors and animals.  We got to see him in earlier books as having major stomach issues, but now he is on a gluten free diet, and things have gotten better.  But Vlad is still very much in love with his wife, Elena, but their marriage is on the rocks, as she is never home, at school to learn to be a journalist; both being stubborn thinking neither of them love each other.

Things will change when Vlad suffers a serious injury playing hockey, and his concern that he will never be able to play again.  Elena, who was making plans to go back to Russia, decides she owes Vlad for all the things he has done for her, to pay for everything, and takes over nursing him back to health.  Will this save their marriage?

I did like both Vlad and Elena, but found them both equally annoyingly stubborn, with both having so many misunderstandings and communications that constantly stop them from realizing that they both are very much in love with each other.

Elena took over full control of nursing Vlad, giving her the chance to meet all the boys from the book club, as well as neighbors, which in time, the boys will push Vlad to learn how to open up more towards Elena, and the girls becoming closer to her, also pushing her to see how much he truly loves her.  This was the fun part, as both groups were truly hilarious.  I even got a kick out the neighbor dog or cat who was always at the house, and the chicken.  The Cheese Man was a riot, and wild fun.

What follows is a fun story, especially with the guys and girl groups trying to help, and the hilarious situations they find themselves in.  Lots of fun.  Vlad was in the process of writing a romance novel, which when the boys discover, they push themselves to help him use the book to learn how to treat Elena.  Elena also had her own secret of investigating the disappearance of her journalist father years before, which also puts her in danger.

Isn’t It Bromantic was another humorous fun story line, with a fantastic group of alpha men and female neighbors that had me laughing throughout.  Lyssa Kay Adams did a wonderful job writing this fun story, which you need to read.  I know I will be waiting for the next book in this series.

Review:

Crazy Stupid Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams is the 3rd book in her fun Bromance Book Club series. I enjoyed the first two books in this series, and I thought Crazy Stupid Bromance was equally as much fun and possibly better.  This is always a fun series to read, as it centers around a male book club group of mostly athletes, and how they discuss romance novels and teach their buddies how to handle women with care and love.

Alexis Carlisle, our heroine, has opened a successful café, ToeBeans, which not only serves good food, but Alexis makes sure to offer help to people who need it, as well as having cats.  You will certainly fall in love with Beefcake, Alexis’s loving cat, except for when there is a man in the house.  No purring, but pure torture. Lol   When her friend, Noah is in Alexis place, playing games or watching tv, Beefcake always manages to torture him.

Noah Logan, our hero, is Alexis’s best friend.  They both enjoy each other’s company, and their friendship; neither of them wants to ruin things with adding any benefits.  Noah gets pressured by his book club friends, who try to push him to read a book, to learn how to get Alexis to recognize their true feelings.

This story centers on both Alexis and Noah, and a surprise shock, when Alexis gets a visitor to her café.  Turns out the visitor is an unknown half-sister, that Alexis did not know about, as well as learning that the sister has a father, who happens to be Alexis’s father, whom she never knew.  Alexis immediately learns the truth; her father is dying and needs a kidney transplant.  Can Alexis be a match?  If so, would she consider giving one of her kidneys to a man she never knew?

I loved Noah and Alexis together.  They were so good, as friends, and eventually as lovers.  The best part of the story is always the guys, who try to teach Noah how to seduce her and let her know his feelings.  The purpose is for each of them to keep their relationships with their wives/girlfriends strong and healthy. They are all a funny and great group of Hunks and the spa was a riot. With Mack and Liv’s (previous book couple) wedding upcoming, Mack pushes all the guys to learn how to dance and perform like the women do, but this time it will be the men.  Lots of laughs and fun.

What follows is a fun, as well as serious story line, with a great couple that we loved from the start.  Both Noah and Alexis have their own family issues from the past, but Alexis had it harder, having never heard about her father, and his family; though when her mother died a few years ago, she did try to use DNA to find him.  This was a good part of the serious story, with her father, and his family that was also shocked, as only the half-sister found Alexis and kept it a secret until she brought her to meet the family.  It was difficult for all, but Alexis rises up.

Crazy Stupid Bromance was humorous, fun, romantic, with a great couple and fabulous Alpha men that had me laughing often.  Lyssa Kay Adams did a wonderful job writing this fun story, which you need to read.  I know I will be waiting for the next book in this series.

Review:

Undercover Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams is the 2nd book in her Bromance Book Club series.  I really enjoyed the first book in this series, and looked forward to what Adams had for us in Undercover Bromance; and I will say this was as much fun or even better than the first book.

Braden Mack is our hero in this book, and you can’t help love him.  He is not only charming, sweet and caring, but he is a gorgeous hunk.  I loved Braden (Mack) and his book club friends, who are always there to help their fellow buddies.  It is fun and at times humorous to see these hunks discuss romance novels, and make suggestions to each other how to handle women with care and love.

We meet our heroine, Liv Papandreas, as she works for a famous restaurant as a sous chef.  Mack is being interviewed, when Liv accidently drops an expensive cupcake on his lap; Liv’s boss is incensed.  When Liv catches her boss making sexual harassments to his hostess, she confronts him on his behavior and is fired.  Liv finds herself out of work, and her nasty boss is making sure she will never work again in the restaurant business by telling lies about her.

Mack discovers this and tries to help Liv, who is Thea’s sister (heroine in first book) and Gavin’s wife; but at first, she is snarky to Mack.  Mack is determined to help her, and enlists his book club friends to help bring down her ex-boss.  In a short time, a slow build romance will begin between Liv and Mack, though I have to say for at least half the book, I really wasn’t crazy about Liv and her stubborn, arrogant and nasty treatment of Mack.  But that does change in time, and they made a great couple (if she would open her heart to the perfect man).  Mack was such a great hero, as you couldn’t help swoon over him, and we knew in time he would find a way to crack Liv’s shell.

What follows is a fun story, especially with the guys trying to help, and the hilarious situations they find themselves in.  Lots of fun.  I also enjoyed the relationship between Rosie and Hop, an older couple, who were Liv’s friends.  Both Mack and Liv had their own family issues from their past, and they needed to move on from that.  I also liked the story line focusing on women’s fight against sexual harassment and abuse issue, which is similar to the ”me too” movement.

Undercover Bromance was a humorous fun story line, very romantic, and a fantastic group of alpha’s that had me laughing throughout.  Lyssa Kay Adams did a wonderful job writing this fun story, which you need to read.  I know I will be waiting for the next book in this series.

Review:

The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams is the first book in her Bromance Book Club series.   I was not sure what to expect, as this is the first time, I have read this author, and the idea of a romance book club for sports alpha men had me questioning whether I would like it.  I am happy to say I really did enjoy and get a kick out of this book.

Gavin Scott, our hero, is a famous baseball player, who finds his marriage falling apart, as his wife Thea kicks him out of the house and asks for a divorce.  Gavin begins to realize that he was unfair to Thea with his disturbing comments, and tries to make amends.  Thea Scott, our heroine, is determined to go through with the divorce, and has her sister come live with her to help care for her two daughters.  When Gavin tries to apologize, Thea ignores him and tells him that she is going through the divorce.

Gavin tells his baseball buddies about his crumbling marriage, and they insist he join them in a meeting that night.  What Gavin finds to his total surprise, as all the men at the meeting are part of a club that helps each other find ways to win back their disillusioned wives.  They are the Bromance Book club.  What do they read?  Historical romance novels.  ?  Each of the men give Gavin suggestions how to win back Thea, especially to read a novel that is similar to their own predicaments.  He must learn how to understand Thea better, and begin courting her again to win her over.

What follows is a fun heartwarming second chance romance, with a great couple, and two sweet kids.   It was a lot of fun watching these alpha baseball players give Gavin suggestions in flirting with his wife; at times it was downright hilarious.

Gavin and Thea did not have an easy road ahead, as they both made mistakes and needed to recognize it was not one person’s fault.  Gavin needed to get past his insecurity, and Thea had to get past her troubled childhood.  It was nice to see Gavin would do anything to win Thea back.  By the last half of the book, I found myself rooting hard for Thea to give in to her feelings and take Gavin back.  The Bromance Book Club was a fun story line, a sweet second chance romance, and a fantastic humorous group of alpha’s that had me laughing throughout.  Lyssa Kay Adams did a wonderful job writing this fun story, which you need to read.  I know I will be waiting for the next book in this series.   So much fun.
