Told from dual first person perspectives (Joe and Hazel) covering several years HIS DARK DESIRE reveals some of the background information about Gabriella’s father: his Mafia connections; his estranged marriage to his first wife; the conception of his daughter; and the woman with whom he will fall in love. Joe Raineri is a Mafia kingpin but wants to go legitimate in the wake of his personal life spiralling out of control. REVIEW: PREACHER is the first instalment in Brooke Summers’ contemporary, adult FURY VIPERS MC: DUBLIN erotic, MC, romance series-a spin off from the author’s FURY VIPERS MC. This is twenty-nine year old Kane ‘Preacher’, and eighteen year old Ailbhe Manghan’s story line. Some of the events of PREACHER run parallel to, and cross over with some of the events of REAPER (Fury Vipers MC 8).

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise including graphic violence, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers. If you have not read REAPER, there may be spoilers in my review.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Preacher and Ailbhe) using present day and memories from the past, PREACHER follows in the wake of devastating news for our story line hero. Leaving everyone and everything behind in America, Preacher escaped to the Dublin Chapter of the Fury Vipers MC where he struggled to make sense of everything he lost. Meeting Ailbhe Manghan did nothing for Preacher but an unexpected pregnancy pushed Ailbhe out of his life. Knowing he screwed up, yet again, Preacher went back to America, only to realize the person he left behind is the woman he loves. What ensues is the building but tempestuous relationship between Ailbhe and Preacher, and the potential fall-out when our heroine is targeted for payment of a debt.

The world building focuses on Preacher’s past-the abuse and neglect, and the ultimate betrayal of a mother and father. We are up close and personal with the nightmare that has become Ailbhe’s life, and in this, our heroine finds a source of income ‘dancing’ for the Fury Vipers MC Dublin when she is forced to pay someone else’s debt.

The relationship between Preacher and Ailbhe is contemptuous at best. Preacher wants nothing to do with a permanent relationship, preferring to find his solace at the bottom of a bottle. Ailbhe quickly discovers that falling for Preacher means going it alone, especially as the father of her child prefers to run, and push away the people he loves the most. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.

The secondary and supporting characters are interesting yet questionable on many levels including several of the original Fury Vipers MC in New York, as well as the introduction of the Fury Vipers MC: Dublin. We are introduced to Ailbhe’s siblings: Mikey, Fiona, Hanna, Evie and Raurie who play a large role in Ailbhe’s life. The requisite evil has many faces.

PREACHER is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, heart break and loss, acceptance and love. The premise is dark, gritty, dramatic and intense; the romance struggles in the face of Preacher’s inability to let go; the characters are broken, desperate but struggling to survive.

REVIEW: REAPER is the eighth (and final?) instalment in Brooke Summers’ contemporary, adult FURY VIPERS MC dark, erotic, MC romance series. This is MC members/mechanic Grayson ‘Reaper’ Duggan, and primary school teacher Esme Greene’s story line. REAPER can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion I recommend reading the series in orders as there is an ongoing premise throughout that will culminate in this instalment.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there WILL BE triggers for more sensitive readers.

The events of REAPER cross over with, and run parallel to the events of several of the previous instalments.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Esme Reaper) covering several years, REAPER follows the building relationship between our story line couple. Esme Greene briefly met Reaper years earlier but Esme was engaged to another man, and Reaper wanted nothing to do with our story line heroine. Fast forward approximately four years, Reaper and Esme’s own lives imploded, and both wanted a new start but not necessarily with one another. Esme was now friends/close with the Fury Vipers MC, and Reaper was hoping for something more but he did not recognize our story line heroine, and in this, her cold attitude struck him hard but once again, their lives were about to implode, and Reaper would become guardian and protector of the woman with whom he would fall in love. Esme’s past refuses to let go, and Reaper is about to say good bye to a brother he considers more than a friend, a brother who is continuing to struggle with the demons from the past. What ensues is the building relationship between Esme and Reaper, and the potential fall-out as Esme’s past refuses to walk away, taking aim at our story line heroine.

The world building continues to focus on the betrayal by a couple of former club wh*%es, a betrayal that will directly affect Reaper, and his best friend Preacher. Preacher’s life continues to spiral such that he is no longer the man Reaper once knew. When Esme’s past demands her return, the Fury Vipers MC get help from the Italian Mafia and the Irish mob but more specifically, the woman in charge, Makenna Gallagher-Bianchi.

The relationship between Reaper and Esme begins acrimoniously approximately four years earlier. Reaper does not remember our story line heroine, and Esme wants nothing to do with the man who pushed her aside but when Reaper discovers the who, how and why, he wants to claim Esme as his own but his own life is about to change, and he will take Esme along for the ride. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, familiar and charismatic secondary and supporting characters from the Fury Vipers MC and the Made Series who will play a significant role in the lives of our story line couple. The requisite evil has many faces.

REAPER is a story of betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, power and control, obsession and madness, family, friendships, relationships and love. The fast paced premise is gritty, dark and dramatic; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are desperate, determined, and dynamic. REAPER ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned
