REVIEW:BRUTAL ARRANGEMENT is the third instalment in Laurelin Paige’s contemporary, adult BRUTAL BILLIONAIRES erotic, romance series focusing on the Sebastian family. This is billionaire businessman Alex Sebastian, and singer Mariah ‘Riah’ Zyah’ Watson’s story line. BRUTAL ARRANGEMENT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. The BRUTAL BILLIONAIRES series is a spin off from the author’s Man in Charge duet.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Alex and Riah) BRUTAL ARRANGEMENT follows the rebuilding music career of Mariah ‘Riah’ ‘Zyan’ Watson. Years earlier, following the death of her parents, pop star ‘Zyah’ stepped back from the spotlight in an effort to look after her younger sister. Now that Whitney is almost eighteen years old, Mariah Watson wants to restart her career but behind the scenes her personal life is spiralling out of control. In a ‘relationship’ with a man who is controlling her career, Riah struggles with her attraction to her partner’s brother, the man who stirs something erotic and dark. Enter Alex Sebastian, Riah’s new ‘brand manager’, and the man with whom our heroine will fall in love. As the pop star Zyah, Riah’s career is once again taking center stage but her love life is about to create a scandal from which she may not return. The world building focuses on Riah’s personal life, and the heart that wants something more. In a relationship with Alex’s brother Hunter, Riah’s has always been on the outside looking in, hiding the real Hunter behind a relationship in which she is no longer in control. Both Alex and Hunter are arrogant and brooding but each wants something different from our story line heroine. Falling for Alex means protecting her heart and her career, a heart that will be broken when the truth is revealed.
The relationship between Alex and Riah is a forbidden love affair. Riah is nothing more than window dressing for Hunter Sebastian, a man whose reputation is questionable at best. Lied to and cheated on, Riah is hoping for someone to love but when her career is at stake, she finds herself walking a path from which she may never come back. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.
There is a large ensemble cast of dynamic secondary and supporting characters including Alex’s brothers, cousins, father and grandfather. We are introduced to Mariah’s sister Whitney, and several cast and crew involved in the restart of ‘Zyah’ career.
BRUTAL ARRANGEMENT is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and heart break, power and control, family and friendships, acceptance and love. The premise is dramatic and heart breaking ; the characters are animated and stubborn; the romance is seductive and intense.

She is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however.
