The Miss Mirren Mission

Amazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / BAM

Description:
Loving her would be his downfall…

To society, the Earl of Blackstone cuts a mysterious figure. He is eligible, withdrawn, and endlessly fascinating. Yet as an integral part of London’s underground spy ring intent on defeating Napoleon, Blackstone has no mistress but the cause.

Miss Emily Mirren is considered “unbiddable” by the ton. She wields a fierce intellect, which she channels into her own secret cause-writing an abolitionist newspaper column under a male pseudonym.

When Emily’s aims clash with Blackstone’s, they stray into a dangerous game of attraction and subterfuge, and secrets are the going currency. And in order to complete the most important mission of his career, Blackstone must thwart Emily, even if it breaks both their hearts.

Review:

What happens when rival factions, yet not, whose opposing interests, more accurately, vie for a mutual enemy? Scramble to gain the advantage by whatever means necessary…or collaborate to secure the target…and fall in love? Of course neither Eric nor Emily would admit to that strategy (especially when one of them is a spy!) Honestly, that outcome is impossible to predict, but The Miss Mirren Mission, written sensationally, by Jenny Holiday, contemplates just that. I loved this book from Page 1! Ms. Holiday imbued charm and humor into an intelligent, sexy gem of a book.

A proud bluestocking, and clandestine reformer, Emily Mirren abides the ton and its demands to maneuver under the radar. In her own circle, Emily is enacting change and seeking more women’s rights/opportunities. But Emily is looking outside her wheelhouse. Her former guardian heinously secreted away Emily’s “brother of the heart” and has been profiting from the slave trade ever since. It becomes Emily’s mission to retrieve her family and bring the brute to justice — a delicate mission indeed. There is no time for recognizing any, let alone all, of Lord Blackstone’s swoon-worthy attributes.

For Eric, said Earl of Blackstone, Emily’s former guardian is merely the means to an end. Commissioned by his former captain (and Emily’s father) to shut down Le Cafard, the “little French bastard”, Eric identifies the real threat and will manipulate Emily’s guardian, no matter the consequences, to exact his revenge. Miss Mirren would not distract him. Her beauty and intelligence is not mesmerizing. Denial…it’s contagious! ;D

Like two ships passing in the night, one of them is bound to notice how peculiar the other one behaves while in the guardian’s company. Who’s the more astute?

“I know what you’re doing here.”

Blast her, she was doing exactly what he was – looking for something to incriminate Mr. Manning. He just prayed she had not beaten him to it.

Eric feeds Manning enough rope to hang himself, but Emily’s agenda, and tenacity, run neck and neck against his own efforts (all in tantalizing form though they may be). Emily’s drive keeps Eric riveted! I don’t refer to intimate temptation, although exploration of their attraction is a thing of beauty. No, I’m referring to the passion of righting wrongs and making peace with internal, emotional matters. Ms. Holiday writes a captivating, layered story that maintains its energy throughout subplots. From Eric’s brother’s death to Emily’s notions regarding her father’s love. Background insight was intriguing and significant to the characters’ evolution as well as the story’s advancement.

You didn’t think I’d only refer to their attraction in passing, did you? It was a highlight for me and made me want to High-Five Ms. Holiday! The subtle seduction was sweet and sultry, which made for an irresistible addiction. Various elements showcased to perfection! Capturing a moment of innocence so tender (that thankfully led to many more wondrous sensations), Miss Mirren’s (and my own!) reaction was practically interactive.

It was an effort to tear her eyes from him to properly greet others. Though she knew it irrational, she feared they might be able to see that she had held Lord Blackstone’s hand last night.

I felt that giddiness clashing with nervousness should anyone be privy to their communication. Ms. Holiday nailed it! Eric and Emily do fend off true feelings by throwing up protective wall after paltry, defensive wall to ascertain their respective peace, but it was all worth the cause. You could sense something magical was happening; woe to those standing in its way. *sighs*

Ms. Holiday wrote a triumphant story of love and loss and the heart it requires to fill the void in your life.

“Do you love her?”

“Yes…

Though it was his voice forming the word, he could have sworn he heard her voice in his head, saying it in unison with him. “Yes.”

Some reviews flow better than others and I apologize if this came out too vague or disjointed. I loooooooved this book and recommend it whole-heartedly!

Everybody Knows Your Name by Andrea Seigel & Brent Bradshaw

Everybody Knows Your Name by Andrea Seigel  & Brent Bradshaw-Review & Giveaway

Amazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / The Book Depository / BAM

Description:
Meet Magnolia.

Her father’s dead, her boyfriend’s ditched her to commit himself more fully to surfing, and her mother’s depressed because she can’t get cast on The Real Housewives of Orange County. All Magnolia wants is to reinvent herself.

Meet Ford.

Half his family is in jail, the other half probably should be, he shoplifted his way into a job at a record store, and his brother pawned his 1953 Telecaster for a quick buck. All Ford wants is to reinvent himself.

Ford, meet Magnolia.

When the two teens are cast in Spotlight, a reality TV singing competition, both see it as their chance to start anew. With each episode, as they live together in a Hollywood Hills mansion and sing their hearts out, Ford and Magnolia fall in love. But how genuine can that love be when a television audience is watching their every move—and when their pasts are catching up them so much faster than they can run?

Review:

Magnolia and Ford are two teenagers who yearn to reinvent themselves. Though not conventional, their transformation (and relationship) is on the set of Spotlight, a reality TV singing competition in Hollywood. A precipice for amazing achievements, professional and personal, or will they get caught up in trivial pursuits leading them nowhere fast? Everybody Knows Your Name by Andrea Seigel and Brent Bradshaw was a charming, cautionary tale about discovery, hope and falling in love.

Magnolia is sick of herself. She’s not particularly sad or angry; she’s just tired of the rut she’s become.

“…but I think this show could take my head between its hands and shake it up. I want to be a little dizzy. I want to give up my old securities.”

Ford is an emancipated 17 year old who still can’t find enough independence. When he’s able to pursue his love of music on the grand scale/stage, he strikes out with a vengeance. The alternative would lead him backward to Arkansas.

But when this pair of idealists with intent to supersede expectations is constantly being monitored, told to “just be yourselves for a second”, because no one’s filming…does being true to yourself, realizing you were good from the beginning, overcome the hype? Ford and Magnolia care enough to see through the fantasy. And find the heart.

What a book! Told from a solidly PG voice through alternating POVs, I was hooked from the beginning; rushing through laundry and ironing uniforms to dive right back into the drama. Who wouldn’t be glued when you’re tapped into an authentic coming of age story that leaves remarkable impressions?! Varied background characters evoke face-palming and offer terrific insight. As an adult, there were “train wreck” moments that made me cringe since I’m quite familiar with bad judgment calls. It’s this experience, however, that had me applauding the poignancy and value these authors associated with erroneous decisions. Ford and Magnolia stumble along the way, spectacularly at times, but the lessons are learned and its effects life affirming.

I don’t know if Ms. Seigel and Mr. Bradshaw intend to develop these characters any further (it didn’t end in a cliffhanger per se, so you’re expected to infer), but Ford and Magnolia’s spark caught fire. It was a pleasure to meet such mature, wonderful people…before they even knew they already were. Bravo!

Chasing Desire by Joya Ryan – a Review

Chasing Desire by Joya Ryan – a Review

Chasing desire

Amazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / BAM

Description:
It’s her best friend’s wedding, and Autumn Lane is trussed up in a pink bridesmaid dress with a big “everything is great” smile plastered across her face. She’s not going think about her life imploding, or spending the next two weeks housesitting in the ridiculously small town of Diamond. No, she’d rather think about the tattooed hottie in the wedding party…and how to turn the wicked way he’s looking at her into a night of intense pleasure.

Huck Galvin is fiercely attracted to his mystery woman’s no-BS attitude, but their one-night-no-strings plan backfires when Huck discovers that Autumn is the out-of-towner he’s “chaperoning” for the next two weeks. Outside the bedroom, the two can’t stand each other, yet Huck can’t deny how much he wants one more night with her. But Autumn isn’t going to make it easy for Huck. Not by a long shot…

Review:

Chasing Desire by Joya Ryan was a steamy, straightforward, easy read about a one-night stand gone “wrong”. Although wrong here translates to bad timing due to the carelessness of previous lovers and absent parents. Joya Ryan has several installments in this Chasing Love series. Now that I’ve caught on, tee hee, I’ll read some more.

“So tell me then,” he said. “With your unbridled honesty, if you don’t have much, what are you looking for?”

Her lips parted, and she looked him in the eyes. There was something deep and dark running within her, and damn if he didn’t want to tap into that.

“I think I just found what I’m looking for,” she said with the slightest breath in her voice. “I’m here for one night.”

“Ah, fate is kind,” he said. “Because so am I.”

Still, one night was the deal. However heavenly, so earth shattering that it would be greedy to ask for more, no more fun can be had. Unless…

Huck and Autumn went for what they wanted, checked their expectations at the desk, and indulged in consensual sex. What I didn’t expect, or like, was Autumn’s sudden distaste/disapproval of Huck. She had zero complaints the night before! It made Autumn petty and immature in an otherwise fun read. But as I already stated, insecurities of not being good (or important enough to stay for) have cemented Autumn’s walls and made her obstinate.

Now pot meet kettle. Huck was dumped unceremoniously and has taken it upon himself to enjoy women, but to keep it temporary. He’s honest and dedicated to a night of pleasure, but always diligent to maintain essential distance. A match made in heaven…if only they’d learn to trust in their feelings…and each other.

Huck’s whining got old fast. First he convinces Autumn to give him a second, entire night, but when Autumn beats him to the door (for the second time), he’s pissy enough to demand another night!

“So what are you looking for this time?” she said. “Round three?”

“I’m after however many rounds it takes for us to get this right.”

Right?! If Ms. Ryan had indulged Huck’s ego so that he could be the one to walk away and call it “even”, I would have considered Chasing Desire a pathetic game of cat and mouse. This is me apologizing, Ms. Joya  When Huck and Autumn stopped misreading each other, stopped second-guessing each other’s motives, the heart was finally revealed. And it was lovely.

Did I mention it was steeeeeeamy?? Blush-inducing, my friends. I would have preferred more emotional communication to their physical connection, but you always feast with your eyes first. Or is that about food? You get the gist. 😀

Issues get heavy and it’s not pretty — rattling firmly entrenched boundaries rarely are. But Huck and Autumn fit perfectly and it’s a real joy to see them battle demons and each other to embrace their now.

Ghost of a Promise by Kelly Moran – a Review

Ghost of a Promise by Kelly Moran – a Review

Ghost of a PromiseAmazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / BAM

Description:
It might be love…but will they survive the night?

The ghosts of her family’s estate on the coast of Maine never troubled Ava Trumble. When she finally inherits the historic mansion, however, there’s a small string attached: Ava has exactly one year to solve a 200-year-old mystery of a missing girl, or lose her family’s home…

The lead investigator for paranormal TV show Phantoms, Jackson Granger, is prepared for any metaphysical encounter—until now. It’s not just the uncanny sense of “coming home” or even his reaction to the fiery redhead who seems to consume his every waking thought. No, it’s that the ghosts are using Jackson and Ava’s attraction to play out a centuries-old tragedy. Heartbreak. Loss. Overwhelming passion. Now Jackson and Ava must determine if they’re sharing something real…or if they’ve been possessed by a love that never died.

Review:
“Don’t be angry with me when they read the will, Ava. It’s time to figure it out. Time for a change.”

Ominous enough? Ava inherits her Great Aunt Lois’ infamous mansion and before she can do with it whatever her heart desires, namely convert it into a B&B, she must solve a two centuries old murder that took place at the estate. What exactly makes it infamous? Curses and ghosts of the lethal variety. If Ava should fail, the inheritance goes to the local historical society as a landmark or worse, a museum. How’s that for motivation? Ghost of a Promise by Kelly Moran was more, so much more, than I expected.

So…who you gonna call? I can hear your singsong chorus/response, thank you! 😉 Phantoms, of course. A hit TV paranormal show that investigates and, purges clean, anything that goes bump in the night. As if that wasn’t helpful enough, Ava must work in close contact, enduring the British accent of, host and lead investigator, Jackson. Oh, the horror! 😀

When Ava and Jackson first meet, déjà vu inexplicably hits them both and that’s only the beginning of a series of fantastical events. The death in question, the murder of Sarah Kerrick, has a “frail connection” to Jackson, but he won’t divulge his lineage unless prodded. Would doors suddenly banging shut, completely unprovoked, be some sort of prompt?!

Having Jackson here may just rile the spirits enough to get your answer.

The story says Sarah fell in love with Peter Trumble, Ava’s ancestor, and theirs was a love to resemble Romeo and Juliet. Perhaps those rumblings (wounds) are trying to seep through…and into Jackson and Ava? Before long, the spirits speak through action — when Jackson and Ava are delving into romantic action. Whether it’s to convey a message or decipher the killer, the animosity is designated at Jackson, supporting the wicked theory that “men especially were targeted and had a record of shortened life spans”. But that niggling, eerie sense of familiarity, despite just meeting, pervades their minds…their memories. It feels symbiotic!

The seduction was steamy and written excellently. Jackson is HOT and swoon-worthy!!! They are a charged, galvanized pair; a fiery, palpable, must-touch-you or stop breathing force. An unrelenting passion that keeps you reading well past lunacy (it’s a time, you know it is). As a fan of paranormal shows, Ms. Moran nailed the investigative tools and vocabulary to extract amazing visuals. My heartbeat raced and I got goose bumps, often, when reading (hearing!) gruff, pounding footsteps or engaging ghostly anomalies. And with like precision, I was assailed by the repeated references to a lavender scent (though undeniably soothing and I happen to be mad for it). Personally, an early Star Wars reference (gets me every time), superhero consideration/conversation during the get-to-know-you stage, and even a nod to their common stature was comforting (some say it represents mutual respect). Two miniscule irks were Ava’s beleaguered resistance (steely resolve, that girl) and the lack of italics or bold font or capitalization to identify spectral communication/POV. Perhaps it’s included in the final publishing? I can only hope.

Having said that, I loved the writing and flow of her storyline, the intriguing subject matters, the ill-fated love story, a precious parallel love story, and the answer we all longed to discover! I tell you: Ghost of a Promise was a thrilling, chilling, compelling, heartrending story. It will no doubt enchant you.

Playing with the Drummer by Robin Covington – a Review

Playing with the Drummer by Robin Covington – a Review

Playing with the DrummerAmazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / BAM

Description:
Entertainment journalist Lita Matthews is on the verge of making it big. As in her-own-TV-show big. She just needs amazing inside scoop on the year’s hottest celebrity wedding. Instead, her big break is becoming a big nightmare—all thanks to rock star Rocky Cardano. Who apparently hasn’t gotten over what happened between them four years ago… Rocky is pretty damn familiar with just how far Lita will go for a “scoop.” Hell, their unbelievably hot hook-up in Mexico years ago was the story of a lifetime. Rocky’s learned his lessons. He’ll do whatever it takes to keep her from the story—even if he has to seduce her to the point of distraction! But Lita has always had a way of getting under his skin. Only this time, he won’t be able to just walk away…

Review:

When 3 glorious nights of passion and promise devolves into the equivalent of a one night stand gone bad (ulterior motives tend to ruin the mood), how will the disgruntled ones stomach each other’s presence again? At a wedding no less!? Rocky and Lita will have to suck it up for their friends and exchange pleasantries. Did I mention the affair was four years ago?!

Jesus. What was the shelf life on this kind of connection? At this rate, he believed it would survive the apocalypse.

Robin Covington is a joy to read. I jump at the chance to read her work! Playing with the Drummer highlights second-chance romance. A familiar theme to be sure (and one of my favorites), but when written this passionately, so blatantly…she inspires!

Like I indicated earlier, both Lita and Rocky acknowledge they should be over their hurt feelings and bitter recollections (told methodically throughout their exchanges), but they’ve avoided each other since the debacle (even though they run in similar circles and share close friends). The proximity reignites the attraction and allows for new perspective.

She apologized for what she did, and a lot can happen in four years. She says she’s learned from her mistake and is moving on. If you aren’t moving forward, then you’ll get left behind, because life doesn’t allow you to stand still.

Time heals all wounds or so they say. Will Rocky and Lita be mature enough to reconsider offenses and new possibilities? They’re electric in the same room; so charged up they can’t remember who’s at fault or why they’ve resisted this long!

It will be like before. We’ll wallow in lust for days, wring each other dry, and then go our separate ways. Any objection needs to happen right now, because once I’m inside you, it’s game on.”

Buzz kill. If they can still want each other so intensely after years, doesn’t it mean they could be, should be, more than what once was? Leave it in Ms. Covington’s trusty hands to traverse the “Rocky” road to HEA.

There’s more to love in Power with the Drummer,  my friends. Music is the backbone of the story with all of its high and low notes. The reunion between our H/H is their friends’ highly publicized rock ‘n roll wedding. Lita is a journalist covering the event, but her past work as a young let-me-be-the-first-to-blow-up-this-story reporter left a bad taste in Rocky’s mouth; it’s the straw that broke his jaded back all those years ago. And when a zealous action brings Lita and Rocky to opposing sides again…will love be stronger than pride?

Instead, he kept his eyes shut, willing her with his touch, with his body, to give him a second chance. Give him one more chance to not let her down. “It shouldn’t be this hard.”

“It won’t be. We just need time to figure this out.”

“I want you to keep me from going,” she whispered.

“I will. Until my last breath, I will.”

“Oh, I wish…” she said on a soft sigh. Her voice ached with her pain, but he also sensed her steel determination.

Ugh! How can you resist?! Christmas gift list…check! 😉  A sure fire way to heat you up over the holiday.

Hour of Need by Melinda Leigh – a Review

Hour of Need by Melinda Leigh – a Review

Hour of NeedAmazon / Barnes & Noble / The Book Depository / BAM

Description:
While fighting in Afghanistan, Major Grant Barrett receives devastating news: his brother and sister-in-law have been murdered in Scarlet Falls, the sleepy suburb of Grant’s youth. Emotionally scarred from war, the career soldier returns home on emergency leave to temporarily care for his orphaned nephew and niece. But when someone tries to kidnap the kids and their teenage babysitter, Grant knows it’s not a random act?and neither were the murders.

Already devastated by her neighbors? violent deaths, Ellie Ross is shattered by the attempted abduction of her teenage daughter so she desperately turns to Grant for help. As they navigate a deadly search for the truth, they struggle with growing feelings for each other and Grant’s impending return to deployment.

But time is running out. The killer is growing bolder by the hour, and Ellie and Grant must find him before the children become his next victims.

Review:

Grant was pulled out of his tour of duty in Afghanistan…to battle even more villainous enemies in Scarlet Falls, NY. When his brother and sister-in-law are murdered, making orphans of his 6 year old nephew and colicky 4 month old niece, Grant recognizes how much he’s missed. And how much his family needs him. I can only imagine the anxiety an author must feel when releasing a new book. The nerves must run amuck when it’s a new series. Fear not, Melinda Leigh: Hour of Need was awesome. Not only will you impress your existing fans with this introductory novel, you’ll make new fans…many new fans.

When Grant starts to put pieces together, gathered (written) in a steady, intriguing way, he soon makes a connection to Ellie, his brother’s next door neighbor (and co-worker). Grant’s brother had just agreed to represent the family of a young skater who hung herself after being taunted and harassed by two other competitors. What new information was discovered to make Grant’s brother accept such a highly charged case in the community? Unfortunately, dead men tell no tales. Grant’s a wreck; torn in half over responsibilities.

Truth be told, Grant would like to “connect” with Ellie much more intimately, but he knows his stay is only temporary; a month’s reprieve to settle matters at home and head back to war. Hardly enough time for proper wooing. The pair fights the attraction, ever diligent of each other’s limits and insecurities. It was difficult to remain patient, retain secrets, when they clearly wanted to open up and share each other’s burdens. Like who is so desperate for the case file, Ellie is being stalked and her family threatened.

Could Grant help? In a way they were in this together. If her extortion was tied to one of Lee’s cases, the murders could likely be linked as well. Grant would focus on finding the man who’d killed his family members. Ellie wanted to keep hers alive.

Did that make them allies or adversaries?

Time to smash those personal walls and solve this case.

Bullying was a hot issue. Ms. Leigh takes us through the young girl’s thoughts and it’s nothing short of turmoil and hopelessness. It was painful yet evocative to read her pleas for help. As a mother, I mourned for the parents who suffer in her absence; the tormenting regrets of inactivity or passivity.

Hour of Need is worth every second! Ms. Leigh expertly guides you through intertwining murders and the aftereffects of a suicide that should have been prevented. I love, love, loved this book and am confident you will need to read this, too!

Kendra Elliot and Melinda Leigh, amazing individual authors, have generously collaborated to gift us with the Rogue River Romance Suspense Novella Series. There are 4 novellas in which both Elliot and Leigh will do two each.  Below are the first two book in this series.

We discovered that the only thing better than having writer buddies is having one to help you plot murder. On paper, of course.

On Her Father’s Grave

Rogue River – Book #1
by Kendra Elliot
Release Date: October 7, 2014

On Her Father's GraveAmazon

Description:
In a small town like Solitude, Oregon, keeping a secret can be murder.

Stevie Taylor had left her sleepy Oregon hometown for a more exciting life. But after her police chief father passes away, the LAPD cop returns to Solitude and signs on as a patrol officer, hoping to heal from her loss…and from the horrific things she’s seen in the city.

In Solitude, everyone knows everyone else’s business—and, to Stevie’s dismay, local gossip soon ties her to the new police chief and a man from her past. Tragedy then shakes up the small town when a teenager dies after taking a strange new drug. Now, the seasoned LA cop must hunt down the dealer while investigating the most important case of her life, one that could divide her tranquil town.

Review:
Stevie’s “escaped from L.A.” to her childhood town of Solitude in the Pacific Northwest. Life was teeming with crime in the big city, so she wanted to part ways and surround herself with familiar faces. Perhaps the death of a well-known teenager (the day before her first day as a police officer), following the death of her father the local police chief (just ten days ago), was too overwhelming to be a first case? No time like the present for this as#-kicker.

The mysterious death of a popular teenager has set the small town of Solitude into an uproar. Rumors and teen shoulder shrugs (secrets) call for a swift solution to restore peace, but Zane, the new Chief of Police has yet to settle into the position (aka, gain approval from the sleepy community). When the findings of a second death too closely resembles the unsolved first murder (no visible markings of foul play), a silent killer must be brought to the light.

The investigation was intriguing, Ms. Elliot is recognized for her thrillers, but the romance was subtly intoxicating! You can sense a mutual interest, an attraction at the very least, but it’s enough to keep you hopeful. Throw in Stevie’s ex-HS-BF and things just got competitive.

“Yes, that happens, doesn’t it? Then something new shows up and that’s all you can see.”

I don’t know what their collaborative process was or how Ms. Elliot was chosen to lead, but its taken life and I’m excited to read where it’s headed. What a beginning!

Description:
When she believes a teen is falsely accused of drug dealing, social worker Carly Taylor takes on a high-risk case and her estranged husband—the detective in charge of the investigation—to prove the boy innocent. A deadly new designer drug has taken hold of her small rural hometown of Solitude, Oregon, and Carly is determined to find the real dealer and clear the teen’s name. But the deeper she digs into the case, the more danger she unearths, until someone decides it’s time for Carly to move on…permanently.

Investigator Seth Harding knows he can’t stop his wife when she has a child to protect. But he risks any chance of reconciliation with Carly if he can’t learn to accept her dangerous job. When a drug dealer decides Carly is getting too close, will Seth lose her altogether?

Review:
A spoiler-free sequel review requires Herculean effort to tiptoe around plotlines, but I endeavor to do so. I will have to offer some insight, but intend to keep the suspense intact.

Solitude seemed to sit right in the middle of the current drug infestation

Gone to Her Grave, written by Melinda Leigh, is book #2 in the Rogue River series, in collaboration with author, Kendra Elliot. While Ms. Elliot was a pleasant surprise for me, I’m a huge fan of Ms. Leigh’s (her Midnight novels reviews can be read here) and I expect she will continue to thread the needle of this beautiful tapestry woven in Solitude.

Drugs are the culprit. Their effects: Deadly. Who is supplying the poison remains to be unearthed. Carly is a social worker (and younger sister of Stevie from book #1) who comes to the aid of an abuser’s family, and inadvertently becomes prey. Though currently separated from her husband, Seth, a Rogue County Sheriff’s investigator, both of them will have to put personal issues aside and join forces to defeat the harm permeating Solitude.

Although their divorce is pending, love isn’t the issue — the lack of respect and appreciation has strained the marriage to a breaking point. When Seth and Carly are forced into a corner, will inventory of life’s essentials resuscitate the waning relationship or emphasize their fundamental differences?

These women knew what their vision was, played to their strengths, and wrote an intriguing series. The combination of suspense, romance, fear, and other terrific elements has fans crying out for more. The third installment, Her Grave Secrets, penned by Kendra Elliot, is released Tuesday, November 4th. Not to be outdone is the finale of the series, Walking on Her Grave, slated for November 18th with Ms. Leigh at the helm.

I’m marking the days off my calendar!
