Tessa Stoneman hasn’t been able to get long-time friend and business partner Nicholas Boone out of her head since they shared a single kiss in college. Even when she dated Nicholas’s best friend. Now that she’s giving up her position at GameNerdz to strike out on her own—and now that she’s single—maybe it’s the right time to see if there’s still something between them.

Nicholas knows once Tessa leaves the company she helped found, they might drift apart. Before she starts her own company in the new year, he wants to woo the woman he fell in love with during college. So he poses as her Secret Santa, gifts her with items from the song “Santa Baby,” and plans a big reveal at the company holiday party. But when his best friend wants to rekindle his romance with Tessa, will Nicholas lose his last chance?

•••••••••••••••

Does an honorable man ignore the “bro code”, no poaching your BFF’s ex-GF, when said ex is about to walk out of his life (Ok, they’ll no longer work together, but these are the actions of a desperate man!) If he asked for a Christmas miracle he might!? Secret Santa Baby by Robin Covington makes you want to believe.

Tonight, at the party, she’d find a way to make Nick see that they were meant to be together. She’d spent years with the wrong man, but if she played her cards right, she had enough time to make sure she spent Christmas with the right one.

Things are finally headed forward…toward love…for Nick and Tessa. Those lingering gazes mean something more. Tessa’s moving upward professionally and Nick’s, well, he’s already the co-owner of a thriving company…he…just can’t let Tessa go without admitting his feelings (presenting her with the little, black box aside).

These two have been friends for years. Co-workers for nearly the same. What’s the hold-up? Tessa dated Nick’s best friend, and co-owner, Damien. Complicated much? Insert the bro code that’s kept Nick immobile. Bah humbug! Tessa and Nick have been in love from afar for far too long.

Will Nick bow out gracefully, allow Damien to right his wrong, or fight for Tessa, the only woman he’s ever wanted?!

A sweet, second-chance, sexy, seasonal swoon!

ABOUT THE BOOK:

When Kate is asked by her friend, Sarah McCord, to appear as Mrs. Claus in the Coldwater Springs Christmas parade, she doesn’t know what to think! After all, she’s only twenty-nine. And although she has a very curvy figure, she’s not matronly and gray-haired – yet.

But when she finds out that the hunky guy she’s admired for the last few months, Flynn Winters, will play opposite her as Santa, she’s glad she agreed to take part. Especially when the script calls for them to kiss ….

This is a sexy contemporary romance novelette of approximately 6,800 words. Although it’s part of the Coldwater Springs series, it can be read as a stand-alone.

Sarah and Chase, Libby and Jake, Cassie and Luke, and Emma and Cade’s romances are in the boxed set, Curves and Cowboys (BBW Romance – Coldwater Springs 1-4) available on Amazon.

•••••••••••••••••••••••

A Curvy Coldwater Christmas is book 5 in the Coldwater Springs Series by Jenn Roseton.

Kate Richmond left Chicago six months ago to open a bakery in Coldwater Springs, Wyoming. Having had enough of the big city she decided that she needed a place where life took on a slower pace.

At twenty-nine she has a curvy figure which is why she thinks she has just been asked to play Mrs. Clause in the town Christmas parade. With a slight reluctance she agrees. That is until she finds out who will be playing Santa to her Mrs. Clause.

Flynn Winters… Tall, dark and handsome is an understatement when it comes to this man. And from the moment she met him she was smitten. Once they find out they actually have a script to follow for the parade, Flynn decides that they must practice to get it right. Kate is quite pleased when she finds out the scene they are portraying involves kissing. And she is quite happy to practice as much as Flynn would like. But she is worried that all the kissing will end after the parade is over. And that she will never get to touch Flynn Winters again. But Santa has other things in mind…

This was a short novelette and was quite wonderful. I found myself giggling like a school girl and smiling like a Cheshire cat. The characters were warm and welcoming and from page one you felt like a friend. I read this book as a stand alone, without previously reading the rest of the series. But after finishing it, I promptly ordered the rest. A romantically, adorable Christmas read!

ABOUT THE BOOK

Colin’s determination to enjoy the holiday he’s missed for the last five years, sweeps Andi into a season of joy that she’s not sure she’s ready for. Can Andi open herself up to everything the holidays have to offer… including love?

••••••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: With all the pain and loss she had dealt with lately, Andi was not in the mood for Christmas this year. She didn’t want to see all the holly jolly decorations, happy families and festive activities. All she wanted was to escape and hide until the holidays were over. So off to a mountain lodge getaway she went. But life has a funny way of turning things around when you least expect it. When she gets to the lodge, she discovers that she doesn’t have a reservation and of course the lodge is full and there are no vacancies. That is when her knight in shining armor comes to her rescue and saves the day. Although she doesn’t know he’s her knight…………Colin is standing in the background and overhears that Andi doesn’t have a room to stay in so he offers his. After meeting Colin, Andi realizes they have someone from her past in common, the one person who hurt her the most, Blaine. Andi accepts Colin’s offer for a place to stay but she isn’t happy about it at all, especially now that she knows Colin knows that dirtbag Blaine. Andi will be in for the experience of her life now that she has met Colin!

This was a very romantic, Christmas themed story. I enjoyed reading all about Andi and Colin. Even Blaine was enjoyable as your typical scumbag of the book It is always fun to read a romance where after the heartbreak and tragedy someone experiences, they find happiness that helps them overcome what was lost. The mountain lodge was the perfect backdrop for a romance to begin. If you want a quick Christmas story read that is enjoyable and will give you that warm and fuzzy feeling, this is the one!

••••••••••••••••••••••

REVIEW:

I just have to say, as much as I do love my paranormal and fantasy genre books, these sports themed stories by Jaci Burton are fast becoming my 2nd favourite genre. I just love her Play-by-Play series and Holiday on Ice is a nice addition to this very hot and steamy series. This novella is Stella and Trick’s story, and we were introduced to them in Melting the Ice. Even though Stella and Trick were secondary characters in Melting the Ice, it was very plain to see the chemistry and connection these two characters had with one another and I was very glad to see Ms. Burton has written a novella for them. Their story is one about love and hope lost, heartache, learning to believe in love and hope again, and going for what you truly believe in.

Stella and Trick are not only perfect for each other, but they burn up the pages in this one. Seriously, I don’t know how Ms. Burton’s keyboard, computer screen, etc, don’t catch fire when she writes this series. Her heroine and hero are combustible in this one, just like all her previous books in this series. The sexual chemistry sizzles through the pages between Trick and Stella from their first scene together when they walk back into each other’s lives.

Trick always knew there was something special about Stella and seeing her again, only proves to him he wants her back in his life on a permanent basis. He’s ready to leave behind his playboy image and get serious with one women, Stella. Now if only he can convince her of this. Stella having been badly hurt where love and her heart are concerned, doesn’t want to tread back into that area because it’s just too painful. However, seeing Trick again, and spending time with him is making it harder for her to keep her motto of, love’em and leave’em.

The romance between Stella and Trick is steamy to say the least, but also has a very sweet and charming side to it as well. Trick is the perfect hero, he’s strong, sexy as hell, charming, understanding and very patient with Stella. He knows she needs time and space and doesn’t rush her into anything. He knows she’s always had one foot out the door in this ‘relationship’ cause she refuses to call it a relationship. After a misunderstanding and coaxing from Trick, Stella finally opens up to him about her past relationship and love. The scene where they finally admit they love each other, and then when Stella opens up to Trick about her past are perfectly written. They were sweet, touching and very heartfelt. Having their story centered around the Christmas season is just the right touch. It gave them the chance to spend time together Christmas tree shopping, decorating the tree, playing in the snow, going ice skating and just having fun, falling in love with each other during a special time of the year and seeing what it would be like to be with that person everyday for the rest of their lives. These scenes just added another layer to a beautifully, charming and steamy storyline. Oh and lets not forget the hockey scenes. Since this is a sports themed story, and our hero is a sexy hockey player, those scenes were supercharged with engery and action and made me feel like I was sitting at Trick’s games with Stella cheering him on. What can I say, there’s just something about a man in a hockey uniform that gets me going. 😉

Once again Jaci Burton has written a fun, sexy, steamy, and fast paced story about romance, love and hockey. It kept me involved from start to finish, and made me feel like I was sitting in my local hockey arena cheering on my team. I just love these sports themed romances, and mixing in a little Christmas magic to this one was sheer perfection on Ms. Burton’s part IMO. Who can resist a sexy hockey player anyway. 😉

Until next time, happy reading and Merry Christmas everyone!!!

REVIEW: Has this bone chilling weather been leaving you feeling down or trapped indoors unable to go out for some fun? Well worry not my peeps! Curl up with this cute yet sexy book, a warm fleece throw, and most importantly a hot toddy laced with rum and why not top that off with lots of whipped cream? Might as well splurge on this guilty pleasure.

Enjoy this fast paced read with Jamie Fielding and Wyatt Tremaine who are in the wrong relationships run into each other. The chemistry and attraction is instant. I admit at first I thought it was Jamie being emotionally vulnerable since her boyfriend bailed on her and filled her with doubt whether he is faithful to her or not but as the book goes on you realize her boyfriend is a mega jerk to her that she should’ve of chucked the guy sooner. The same goes for Wyatt, his girlfriend came off as a conceited, egotistical Barbie doll who loves herself too much to love anyone else.

Even though this book is really short at a whopping 50 some pages, the author makes up for intensity of the attraction and the couple love scene. She also has some very likeable elements. I really appreciated that Jamie was relatable. I like that the woman was voluptuous with curves because us average women need love too. Both Jamie and Wyatt were likeable though I would’ve desired to get to know them more had the book been longer.

Overall this book was a fun and sexy play on fantasies. So if anyone ever fantasized about being with a hot doctor or canoodling with a lover in a comfy ski cabin then this is your chicken soup right here.

Description:
SEASON’S KISSES

Wild child Chloe Thompson can’t believe how much things have changed. She still can’t get enough of her sexy husband Sawyer, but he seems to prefer working to thinking about impending fatherhood. So tonight, a very pregnant Chloe is escaping her troubles at the town Christmas party.

Sheriff Sawyer Thompson hopes surprising Chloe at the party will give him a chance to set things right. But as the snow begins to fall and the wind rages, he wonders whether he can make it back in time. While mother nature conspires to keep Sawyer and Chloe apart, an unexpected arrival will require them to kiss and make up . . . and ring in the happiest holiday Lucky Harbor has ever seen

Review:

Merry Christmas, Baby by Jill Shalvis is as the title describes, a sweet charming Christmas novella based on her wonderful Lucky Harbor series. The final book of Lucky Harbor was released last month, as many people grieved that there would be no more of the wonderful residents of Lucky Harbor. But Shalvis pulls a surprise, and gives us all a nice Christmas gift.

Sawyer and Chloe were our heroes in Head Over Heels (Book #3), and we get to take a peek at them 5 years later, with Chloe just about due to give birth to their first child. It’s the week before Christmas, and Chloe just can’t wait for her daughter to be born. Everyone fusses over her, and all she wants is to get out and have a little fun, even if she is not feeling great. She worries with Sawyer continually taking extra jobs, feeling perhaps that the thought of having a child is driving him away. Chloe loves Sawyer even more then when they first got married, but with her hormones messed up, she fears he may be pulling away. In her state of mind, Chloe doesn’t know that Sawyer adores her, and is working at extra jobs to have more money for them and their baby.

It was great to see Tara and Maddie and the rest of the family as they try to keep Chloe safe at home. But with the town Christmas party coming shortly, she is determined to attend. She bribes Tanner and Callie to take her to the party, in the midst of an impending snowstorm.

Of course, with the whole town in attendance, Chloe goes into labor a few weeks early, and Sawyer isn’t home yet. Just when the contractions get worse, Chloe sees Sawyer is there for her, as is the entire town, including the doctor. This was such a heartwarming sweet story, and so much fun to revisit the residents of Lucky Harbor. A baby daughter will help bring a wonderful Christmas present to us all.

Unlucky-in-love PR manager Kate Braithwaite doesn’t think her Christmas could get any suckier. Until a trip into work on Christmas Day leaves her snowbound in the Fifth Avenue department store with her boss’s far-too-tempting playboy son Ryder Sinclair. Ryder’s rugged, reckless and none too pleased to be stuck in a place he hates with an uptight workaholic like Kate—but as the night draws on, the lights go out and the temperature rises, until they’re both wondering is this the season to get lucky?

•••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: TIS THE SEASON TO GET LUCKY by Heidi Rice is the latest Christmas novella from Entangled Publishing and it is a quick and fun read for anyone with a few minutes to spare.

The premise follows Kate Braithwaite-whose long distance relationship was brought to an abrupt halt on Christmas morning. Hoping to forget about the holiday, she heads to her office where she is determined not to wallow in her own pity party. But luck would have it when the boss’s son Ryder Sinclair makes an unexpected visit to the store to find something for a special lady in his life. When the two meet, sparks fly and the impending winter storm shuts down the power as well as any plans either may have had for the night.

The storyline finds Kate and Ryder is the unenviable position of ‘playing house’ in the department store overnight. One thing leads to another; their attraction is strong; but in the morning, life goes on and Ryder leaves to meet the other young lady in his life. Kate’s life continues but the memory of that one night remains etched in her heart and in her soul.

TIS THE SEASON TO GET LUCKY is a sweet storyline with a quick relationship buildup and a happily ever after. Because it is a novella, the world and character building are limited but in the end, we learn everything we need to know for Ryder and Kate to fall in love. This is only the beginning of their story and I hope Heidi Rice continues their adventure in a future storyline.

It’s Christmas!…

Things are going well in Rabbit Creek. Elizabeth has taken her duties as the Alpha’s Mate to heart and as the story opens, that heart is breaking for the loneliness and isolation of one of her pack. It’s Christmas Eve and no one should be lonely at Christmas.

Lindy doesn’t feel like she has much to celebrate. After two years of widowhood, she can barely make ends meet without the aid of her pack and while her inner wolf is ready to move on, Lindy isn’t sure she can let go of the past.

New to the pack, Travis had party plans for the Holidays, but he ends up playing Santa to a pretty little widow and her pup. She’s not what he was looking for, but she’s exactly what he wants and his inner wolf agrees. Now all he has to do is convince Lindy that Christmas gifts aren’t always the ones you find under the tree

•••••••••••••••••

Wow, an amazingly warm and lovely story for the Christmas holidays! Rabbit Creek Santa takes us back to the small mountain town of Rabbit Creek where the wolver pack of Marshall Goodman and his Mate, Elizabeth are living and caring for their wonderful pack.

This is a really heartwarming story of a lonely wolver widow, Lindy, and her sweet “pup” or baby – Joey. Lindy’s mate Joe was killed in an auto accident two years prior, just after she had told him they were about to be parents. Part of Lindy loves that he knew before he died, and part of her wonders if knowing distracted him and got him killed. Isn’t that the way we usually do, always try to find a way to feel guilty for something we have no control over? But I digress.

As part of the Christmas duties, Elizabeth manages to get new comer to the pack, Travis Pike, to dress up as Santa and take some presents for Joey to Lindy’s cabin. All is great, except Joey screams instead of enjoying Santa, but Travis takes off the Santa stuff and charms Joey (or maybe it’s Joey that charms Travis). As the evening progresses Travis begins to understand that Lindy is the mate he and his wolf need, and Joey wants Travis as part of the family. However, convincing Lindy is quite another matter! She and her former mate were content, but not soul mates, but Lindy is having trouble moving on.

In the usual Rabbit Creek fashion the story unfolds with humor, frustration, and so much more than just a little attraction. Okay, that’s all the spoilers I’ll give out! You need to pick up a cool beverage (you’ll need it LOL), curl up and read this wonderful love story for yourself! It’s really true, not all presents are found under the tree! Enjoy, I really did! And Merry Christmas!
