ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 27 2020
Being a highly skilled operative for a company like Jameson Force Security is exhilarating and important work…until it comes time to date. I like to keep my profession under wraps for a number of reasons. Some of what we do is top secret, most of what we do is dangerous, and more than one woman has tried to latch onto me because she was more enamored with what I do than who Cage Murdock really is. And since I’m more of a ‘here for the night’ than a ‘here for forever’ kind of guy, what’s the harm in a little white lie about my job?
My harmless deceit has never failed me. Until now. Because I met the most amazing woman and did the unthinkable. I married her. And now my beautiful, unsuspecting, probably-going-to-leave-my-sorry-behind-when-she-finds-out-the-truth wife doesn’t know that I’m not a used car salesman like I told her when we met.
As it typically does with lies, the truth is about to come out in a big way when Jaime unwittingly gets herself mixed up with some unsavory characters and I, along with the team at Jameson, have to intervene. Now I need to save my girl and hope I can save my marriage too. Let’s just say I have some serious explaining to do.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Jaime and Cage) CODE NAME: ROOK follows the quick building relationship between twenty-eight year old, US Navy SEAL and Jameson Security specialist Cage Murdock, and twenty-six year old, social worker Jaime Dolan. After returning from his last mission, a mission where they rescued his fellow Jameson Security Agent Malik Fournier, Cage Murdock needed a little down time and found himself at a local bar where he would meet social worker Jaime Dolan. Several hours later, and one night together, Cage knew he wanted something more but our hero lied about his occupation, leaving Jaime to believe he was a used car salesman. Weeks together, and a few days in Vegas, resulted in a spur of the moment wedding to a woman who had no idea about Cage’s real life but all was about to spiral out of control when Jaime would be targeted by the Irish mob, targeted for sins and secrets of someone close. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Cage and Jaime, and the potential fall-out as secrets and lies threaten Cage and Jaime’s happily ever after, and the threats against Jaime become dangerous and deadly.
Cage Murdock was always a bit of a player, and knew when he revealed the truth about his life as a US Navy SEAL, women always saw something different than the man behind the job. Hoping to be accepted as a normal man, Cage lied to Jaime, a lie that was about to snowball out of control. Preparing to tell Jaime the truth, our couple are blindsided when the Irish mafia take our heroine prisoner, demanding money for her life. Jaime Dolan’s last relationship ended with lies and betrayal, and Cage’s lies were too much to bear. Having fallen in love with our story line hero, Jaime is willing to walk away when the truth is revealed.
The relationship between Jaime and Cage begins as a one-night stand that quickly turns into something more but a relationship predicated on a lie is doomed to fail, and Cage struggles with the potential loss of the woman he loves. The $ex scenes are intimate, captivating and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic, language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of energetic and familiar characters including most of the Jameson Security Force family. We are introduced to new agent Ladd McDermott; Jaime’s parents, as well as her sister Laney, and brother Brian.
CODE NAME: ROOK is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and revenge, friendships, relationships, romance and love . The premise is engaging and intriguing; the romance is seductive; the characters are colorful, dynamic and charismatic.
