ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date April 10, 2023
I made plans. I followed the path. I fell in love.
Then the world took her away from me.
I swore to never love again, and I’ve done all I could to keep that vow.
But life finds a way and I can’t stop this burning attraction with my best friend.
Maddie stood by me when my world shattered.
She deserves more than a broken man who promised to never love again.
Only I swear she feels the same way about me. And I have no idea what to do about it.
Now she might leave the Wilders and I can’t tell her to stay—even if it means shattering the one piece of me I have left.

REVIEW:Coming Home for Us is the fourth installment in the Wilder Brothers series by Carrie Ann Ryan. This series is home to the ex-military Wilder brothers and the women they fall for. As always, I recommend reading a series in order to get the best experience of the story, but C.A.R does provide enough goodness if you chose to read as a standalone.
Maddie and Elijah are the couple for this adventure, and of course we get a nice visit from the previous three pairs from the first few books. Maddie is a wholesome, good girl who is looking to find herself, and she does that at the Wilders Vineyard. Maddie and Elijah’s romance is a bit like a best friend/coworker romance, she falls for him, but he doesn’t see her as anything but a friend, falls for another women, breaking Maddie’s heart in the process, tragedy strikes, grief and pain ensue and then finally light and love shine again.
When Maddie has to make a hard choice to stay or go, she is conflicted and unsure. She loves the life and the family and friends she has built at the vineyard, but seeing Elijah and not being able to be with him, is so painful. Is a change worth it? When Elijah loses the women he thought he would spend his life with, he’s a hot mess, let’s be honest. Understandably. Slowly he starts to see the light again, and Maddie, but she’s not the same as she was before. Or so Elijah thinks. After years, even with Elijah determined to never go through that pain again and swearing off love, Maddie happens. When he starts seeing her in a more womanly way, he starts to think that maybe being happy isn’t as scary as he thought it would be.
Maddie and Elijah were so loveable! The rest of the Wilder family was rooting for them so much, all wanting two of their favorite people to be happy together. I really liked that we got a full story with Maddie and Elijah, even with all the pain he had to go through with Joy, to finally get his HEA was so amazing. This series is a keeper for sure, I can’t wait to see what comes next in the series. I hope that Lark will get a story!!
