But as their enemies plot to trap them, Eve and Cain will be forced to trust each other completely. Be forced to surrender to a desire that cannot be controlled, and soon, if they are not careful, it’s a desire that might just have the power to destroy them both.

REVIEW: HOT ENOUGH TO BURN is the first instalment in Cynthia Eden’s contemporary, adult PHOENIX FURY erotic, paranormal romance series. This is phoenix Cain O’Connor, and reporter Eve Bradley’s story line.

NOTE: HOT ENOUGH TO BURN is the re-release of the 2014 BURN FOR ME.

SOME BACKGROUND: Approximately ten years earlier the existence of the paranormal, the supernatural was revealed to the world. A group calling themselves GENESIS is capturing, torturing and performing unsanctioned experiments on the supernatural. These are their stories.

Told from third person perspective HOT ENOUGH TO BURN follows reporter Eve Bradley as she investigates the Genesis facility, a facility performing unsanctioned experiments on the supernatural. Eve will witness the torture and murder over and over of Subject Thirteen aka Cain O’Connor, a man whose inner beast is soothed by our story line heroine. On the run together, our couple have been targeted for their ‘magical powers’, powers when combined reveal a secret our heroine can no longer contain. Determined to take down the people responsible, Cain and Eve find themselves facing off against vampires, super charged werewolves, demons and more. What ensues is the building relationship between Eve and Cain, and the potential fall-out as lives are lost, and Cain struggles with Eve’s need to save the world.

Eve Bradley isn’t quite human but our heroine has the ability to withstand the fall-out from the man with whom she will fall in love. Hoping to reveal the atrocities taking place at the Genesis facility, Eve discovers the experiments are meant to create the ultimate supernatural, an immortal killing machine impossible to kill.Cain O’Connor has only one mission for the foreseeable future-taking down the man betraying the supernatural community but Cain never expected to come face to face with the woman that calls to heart, the woman that calms with beast within.

The relationship between Cain and Eve is one of immediate attraction but Cain fears hurting the woman with whom he will fall in love. Eve has no idea about the who and what of our story line hero but Eve is the only person capable of surviving Cain’s return to the living. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and hot, without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to vampire Ryder Duncan, werewolf Trace Frost, and scientist Dr. Richard Wyatt. Ryder’s story line is next.

REVIEW: SLOW BURN is the second instlament in Cynthia Eden’s contemporary, adult PHOENIX FURY erotic, paranormal romance series. This is vampire Ryder Duncan, and phoenix Sabine Acadia’s story line. SLOW BURN can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion, I recommend reading the series in order.

NOTE: SLOW BURN is the re-release of the author’s 2014 ONE BITTEN, TWICE BURNED. Some of the event of SLOW BURN cross over with, and run parallel to book one HOT ENOUGH TO BURN.

SOME BACKGROUND: Approximately ten years earlier the existence of the paranormal, the supernatural was revealed to the world. A group calling themselves Genesis is capturing, torturing and performing unsanctioned experiments on the supernatural in an effort to create the perfect soldier. These are their stories.

Told from third person perspective SLOW BURN follows ancient vampire Ryder Duncan and phoenix Sabine Acadia’s escape from the group known as Genesis. Ryder Duncan is an ancient vampire, believed to be the first vampire, and as such his powers are beyond that of which anyone knows but Ryder’s blood has been used by Genesis in an effort to create the perfect soldier but the power within the blood is more than anyone can handle. Enter phoenix Sabine Acadia, a young woman who knows nothing about her powers or the existence of the supernatural but a woman who is about to find herself front and centre in the unsanctioned experiments at the Genesis complex, experiments that match Sabine and Ryder together in an effort to merge their powers. Upon their escape, Sabine is desperate to return home to her family but her returns brings chaos and death to the people she loves. What ensues is the building relationship between Sabine and Ryder, and the potential fall-out as betrayal and vengeance target our story line couple.

Sabine Acadia is an innocent, naïve to the world of the supernatural but Sabine’s past is mired in secrets and lies, and our heroine is about to discover how truly deep goes the betrayal. Ryder Duncan is the king of all vampires, and as such, he is impervious to most of the ‘usual’ things used to kill a vampire including fire and our story line heroine but one taste of Sabine’s blood, and Ryder is unable to stay away, blood that calls to our hero’s heart.

The relationship between Sabine and Ryder begins as an experiment that goes horribly wrong for our story line couple. Ryder is starved of blood for months at a time, and Sabine is ripe for our hero’s lust. Sabine believes that Ryder only wants her for her blood but her memories reveal a bite that is both deadly and arousing. The $ex scenes are intimate and erotic without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Cain Connor and Eve Bradley (Hot Enough to Burn #1), scientists Richard Wyatt and Cassandra Armstrong, phoenix Dante, vampires Julia and Grayson; Sabine’s father and her brother Rhett; Rhett’s cousin Vaughn and his father Keith Adams; and Ryder’s brother Malcolm.

SLOW BURN is another story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, desperation and manipulation, torture and abuse, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is dramatic and passionate; the romance is seductive and fated; the characters are energetic and strong.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 13 ,2021

Big, bad, and currently out of his element…

Odin Shaw thought he’d spend his life on a battlefield. But fate had other plans, and now the ex-Special Forces operative has just landed a new job at his best friend’s PI office. It’s one hell of a life change, and the giant “Viking” is trying to adjust, fast, but then she walks into his life.

Delicate, beautiful, and hunting a killer…

Maisey Bright has been following the news. She knows that the small PI firm just helped track a killer and get the perp locked away—so Maisey figures that the towering man sitting behind the massive desk will be perfect solution for her current predicament. The cops don’t believe her story, so Maisey has no choice. She wants to hire Odin. The job in question? Well, she needs him to help her find proof—irrefutable evidence—that her next-door neighbor is a serial killer.

The gorgeous ones are always a little bit crazy…

Odin figures the case will be a snap. He’ll prove that Maisey’s neighbor is most definitely not a serial killer. He’ll do it in record time, and he’ll score some extra cash for the PI firm. Maybe he’ll even score some points with the lovely—but obviously way too crime-enthusiast-obsessed—Maisey. Piece of cake.

It’s not a piece of cake. It’s a freaking nightmare.

When Odin steps into Maisey’s world, things seem off from the very beginning. Her neighbor is suspicious as hell, and when Maisey is nearly kidnapped after leaving her job, Odin realizes there is much more to the case than meets the eye. A whole lot more. He moves into Maisey’s place to protect her—and to keep an eye on her neighbor. But the close proximity to the maddening Maisey stirs a fierce desire inside of Odin. Maisey is smart, off-beat, sexy…and when he kisses her, Odin is a goner.

But first, the killer…

Odin and Maisey set off to uncover the truth about her neighbor, and as they dig deeper into the disappearances that have plagued the town for the last year, Odin begins to suspect that Maisey may be dead right. He also realizes that he is falling for a woman who now seems be the target of a killer. Looks like it might be time for Odin to go to battle once more. Because there is no way—no way—that anyone will hurt Maisey.

REVIEW: DON’T PLAY WITH ODIN is the second instalment in Cynthia Eden’s contemporary, adult TROUBLE FOR HIRE romantic, suspense series focusing on the men and women who work for, or are connected to Trouble For Hire private investigators. This is former ex-Special Forces solider Odin Shaw, and college history teacher/ crime podcaster Maisey Bright’s story line. DON’T PLAY WITH ODIN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from several third person perspectives including Odin and Maisey DON’T PLAY WITH ODIN follows the search for a possible killer. Enter ex-Special Forces soldier turned PI Odin Shaw. What ensues is the search for a killer and the missing women, and the potential fall-out as Maisey becomes the target of a twisted mind.

Odin Shaw knows death and destruction first hand but Maisey Bright is not what he expected when he partnered with his friend Warren Channing. With War on his honeymoon, Odin is reluctant to take Maisey’s case as everything is currently circumstantial evidence from the mind of a wanna-be detective with her own crime podcast but the further Odin is pulled into Maisey’s web, the more he is convinced that there is definitely a ring of truth to Maisey’s story. Maisey Bright is certain her neighbor and psychology professor Clay Prescott is a killer but when all of her information and her laptop go missing, Maisey has no proof, and worries that Odin will drop the case, and never look back.

We are introduced to Maisey’s neighbor Professor Clay Prescott, bar owner Ramsey, as well as the return of ex-Special Forces soldier and Odin’s friend Jinx, and IT specialist Ali Carter. Ali and Jinx’s story is next in Jinx, You’re It.

DON’T PLAY WITH ODIN is a story of secrets, lies, betrayal and obsession. The premise is engaging and intriguing with a twist that comes out of left field- a little bit of a red herring. There are a few humorous moments that warrant a giggle or two. The romance is seductive; the characters are colorful and energetic but saying that Maisey Bright is often a little TSTL, placing herself in the direct line of fire, refusing to remain out of the direct line of fire.

REVIEW:NO ESCAPE FROM WAR is the first instalment in Cynthia Eden’s contemporary, adult TROUBLE FOR HIRE erotic, romantic suspense series. This is former US Navy SEAL turned private investigator and bar owner Warren ‘War’ Channing, and journalist/broadcaster Rose Shadow’s story line.

Told from several third person perspectives including Rose and War, NO ESCAPE FROM WAR follows several months after the breakdown of the relationship between former US Navy SEAL and PI Warren ‘War’ Channing, and journalist/broadcaster Rose Shadow’s. Rose Shadow is in trouble-she is a person of interest in the murders of several local women, and has not one but two potential stalkers who are forcing our heroine on the run. Hired to locate our story line heroine, Warren ‘War’ Channing, owner and operators of TROUBLE FOR HIRE Investigations, easily finds the woman he once loved but lets her know that he has no problem turning her in as a potential serial killer. An attack against our heroine finds Warren both protector and guardian, as the hunt for a killer hits too close to home, a serial killer who may have help finding his next victim. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between War and Rose, and the fall-out as our couple is targeted by a killer whose focus is now on our story line couple.

Warren “War” Channing believed Rose Shadow betrayed his love, and with issues of trust, War wasn’t having anything to do with our story line heroine-his inability to forgive led to a growing hate of the woman he wanted to call his forever. Unable to defend herself, Rose was pushed out of Warren’s life knowing that she was innocent of the charges all around but War’s reappearance in her life coincides with the murder investigation that points the finger at our story line heroine, and a potential stalker, leaving our Rose vulnerable to old feelings, feelings she knows will lead her to another broken heart. As War works overtime to protect our story line heroine, the list of potential stalkers and killers begins to climb.

The relationship between Rose and War is a second chance romance; a love destroyed by perceived betrayal and issues of trust. War struggles with his renewed attraction to the woman he believes did him ‘wrong’, and Rose wants nothing to do with a man who is unable to see the truth through the forgery of lies. As War and Rose find themselves on the run, the killer/stalker is always one step behind forcing our couple to look long and hard at potential suspects. The $ex scenes are intimate, seductive and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to fellow US Navy SEAL and War’s friend Odin Shaw; Detective Lynn Slater ; Rose’s co-worker and boss Dylan Nelson, informant Billy, and PI Gary Strom. Odin’s story is next in DON’T PLAY WITH ODIN.

NO ESCAPE FROM WAR is a story of rekindling romance, forgiveness and love; a tale of obsession and hate, power and control. The premise is fast paced, intense and intriguing; the romance is sensual, captivating and intimate; the characters are energetic and emotional. NO ESCAPE FROM WAR is a wonderful and powerful start to Cynthia Eden’s new TROUBLE FOR HIRE.

Trouble has followed Roman.

Roman has some unfinished business from his past—in the form of deadly enemies—who have tracked him. And now those enemies have gotten the wrong idea about Harper. They are about to make the worst mistake of their lives.

When Roman’s enemies kidnap Harper, he drops the good guy role.

The proposal isn’t real. It’s just an undercover assignment. Dex needs Lacey to be his fake fiancée for a case. Not exactly her dream job. But, she’ll do it. He wants her to pretend to be head over heels in love with him, he wants her help on a dangerous investigation in a remote ski lodge, and he…wants her?

REVIEW: SAY I DO is the tenth instalment in Cynthia Eden’s contemporary, adult WILDE WAYS romantic, suspense series focusing on the men and women who work for Wilde Ways Security. This is CIA Agent and former US Navy SEAL Dexter Ryan, and Wilde Ways security specialist Lacey Amari’s story line. SAY I DO can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from several third person perspectives including Lacey and Dex, SAY I DO follows several paths, and the acrimonious relationship between CIA Agent and former US Navy SEAL Dexter Ryan, and Wilde Ways security specialist Lacey Amari. Dexter Ryan has lusted after Lacey Amari since the first time they met, and now that Dexter needs a ‘significant other’ for an undercover operation, Dexter proposes a ‘fake engagement’ to Lacey in an effort to get closer to the woman with whom he will fall in love but Dexter’s assignment is about to go very wrong when Lacey becomes the target of an unknown assassin. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Lacey and Dex, and the potential fall-out as secrets are revealed, and revenge is a dish best served dead.

Lacey Amari thinks Dex is the biggest a$$hole, and struggles to accept his offer to go undercover on his latest assignment but Lacey is about to discover that not all is as it seems, and Dex’s lies of omission are about to break her heart. Dex is struggling with the information that he knows about Lacey’s past but information that is about to spiral Lacey’s life out of control. In an effort to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love, Dex finds himself battling between head and heart when sins of the past are about to reveal the truth.

The relationship between Dex and Lacey is tempestuous at best. Dex is stubborn, arrogant and alpha; cheats and lies, and in this Lacey struggles to trust the man that is willing to die to protect her life. When Lacey discovers that Dex knows more than he is willing to reveal, our heroine’s issues of trust place her in the direct line of fire . The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and sensual without the use of over the stop, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a small ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including the return of Lacey’s boss and owner of Wilde Ways Security Eric Wilde. We are introduced to Roman Valentino and his bodyguard Heather Madding; Duke Jonathan Radcliff and his wife Elizabeth, as well as several CIA agents working with Dex on his current assignment.

SAY I DO is a story of secrets and lies; betrayal and revenge; trust and uncertainty; revelations and love. The premise is intriguing and thrilling; the romance is provocative; the characters are edgy, flirty and inspiring.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 21, 2020.

It’s an undercover mission. Get in. Get close to the woman. Get the intel. Get out. Should be easy enough. Right?

Wrong.

Chase Durant’s newest assignment goes wrong from the moment he meets Vivian Wayne. She’s not cold and calculating. The scientist is charming, funny, and absolutely freaking gorgeous. He’s supposed to be seducing secrets out of her. She’s supposed to be a selling classified intel. She’s supposed to be bad.

She’s the best thing he’s ever seen.

Doesn’t take long for the Wilde agent to realize that Vivian has been set-up, and the folks setting her up thought they could use Wilde to do their dirty work. Thought they could use Chase in order to make Vivian vulnerable so that she’d be the perfect target.

Wrong.

Instead of using her, Chase is determined to protect Vivian. The only problem? He’s been lying to her from day one, and things have…heated up between them. More like gone molten. Because Chase wants her more than he’s ever wanted anyone, and he’s not about to step back and let another agent take over her case. Vivian needs protecting, and he’s just the man for the job.

Correction—he’s just the man for Vivian. He just has to prove that he can be the right one for her.

Wrong.

But when Vivian finds out that he’s been lying, how can she trust him? Time is running out, and Vivian’s heart is in tatters. She fell for the wrong man, and now she might pay for that mistake with her life. Chase seemed perfect. He flew past her defenses, and she thought he seemed might be just—

Right.

Chase won’t back down. He won’t give up. He’ll prove to Vivian that she can count on him. Prove to her that he will always put her first. Prove to her that he can be the right man for her. He simply has to destroy her all of enemies and convince Vivian to fall for him once more. Only this time, she’ll be falling for the real man. Not the lie.

All in a day’s work for a Wilde agent…right?
