This is Dr. Tripp Daniels, and thirty year old, assistant event coordinator Skye Abbot-Tremont’s story line. JUST A LITTLE PROMISE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Told from omniscient third person perspectives (Tripp and Skye) JUST A LITTLE PROMISE follows the second chance relationship between our leading couple. Skye Abbott is rebounding from a bitter divorce, and she is hoping one-day to become a mother but Skye never expected to run into Dr. Tripp Daniels, the one man she has never forgotten. Five years earlier, Tripp and Skye were a couple but Tripp had plans for the future, and there was no time for a relationship while in medical school. Fast forward to present day, Skye’s arrival in New York and ultimately Brooklyn finds Skye face to face with her past in the guise of our story line hero, the man who continues to stir something deep inside. Skye’s plans for a child are about to take on a new direction when when Tripp offers up himself as the potential father. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between our story line couple as Skye’s past refuses to let go.
The world building follows Skye and Tripp as they navigate the process of getting pregnant but someone may be stalking our story line heroine, and Tripp suspects it is someone from her past.
The relationship between Skye and Tripp is one of second chances: a rebuilding romance in which Skye struggles to trust in the face of her failed marriage, and Tripp is hoping for something more. The $ex scenes are erotic and passionate without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.
We are introduced to Skye’s brother Spencer, her friend and co-worker Lauren, as well as several member of Tripp’s extended Dare/Kingston family.
