Told from third person perspective HURT ME SWEETLY follows the search for a killer, or group of killers targeting the world of the Shadowers. A badly beaten and fatally injured weren is desperate to locate our hero, para demon Ryan Doyle, who works at Division 6, and the PEC (Preternatural Enforcement Commission), a Division of Homeland Security. Ryan Doyle and the PEC suspect a well orchestrated faction of the human population is targeting the supernatural races. Journalist Andrea ‘Andy’ Tarrant knows a story when she sees it, and her recent run in with the ultimate evil in the guise of Kyle Creevey, suggests the world of the supernatural truly exists but Andy has never been a believer until someone close reveals the truth about one of our heroine’s darkest hours, years before. Pulled into a group who call themselves the Dark Warriors, Andy will come face to face with her future, Ryan Doyle, a man she believes is nothing more than human. What ensues is the quick building relationship between Andy and Ryan, and the potential fall-out when Ryan goes in undercover with the Dark Warriors, only to have his identity revealed from an unlikely source.

The relationship between Andy and Ryan begins with an accidental meeting. Andy is led to believe Ryan works for US Homeland Security but never expected to be pulled into a world she only thought existed in fantasy and fairy tales. Discovering Ryan Doyle is a para demon means Andy must choose sides, a choice that will play Andy in the direct line of fire, and against the people she loves the most. We are introduced to Andy’s father Andrew Tarrant , her cousin Kevin, Kyle Creevey, and leader of the Dark Warriors Paul Vassalo. The requisite evil has many faces.

HURT ME SWEETLY is another fast paced and intricate story of speciesism and discrimination, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The premise is intriguing and entertaining; the romance is fated and animated; the characters are powerful, energetic and charismatic.

REVIEW: CLAIM ME SINFULLY is the fifth instalment in Kira James’ contemporary, adult DARK ALLIANCE paranormal, romance series. This is two thousand year old vampire Sergius aka Serge, and former FBI agent Katherine Martin’s story line. CLAIM ME SINFULLY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as Serge’s story begins at the beginning.

NOTE: THE DARK ALLIANCE series was originally published as the Shadowkeepers paranormal romance series but has been re-released and extensively revised.

SOME BACKGROUND: Vampires all have a serpent within known as the Azag Mahru, a darkness left over from their days as a human that takes control when hunger strikes but Serge lost control of his serpent hundreds of years earlier, a control now masked by something else. His best friend Luke aka Lucius is worried about Serge in the wake of Division 6, and the PEC (Preternatural Enforcement Commission), a Division of Homeland Security, setting their sights on our story line hero, believing Serge has gone rogue, having lost control of the darkness inside.

Told from third person perspective, using present day and memories from the past, CLAIM ME SINFULLY follows former FBI agent Katherine Martin as she hunts for the vampire that killed her sister. The requisite evil has many faces.

CLAIM ME SINFULLY is a fast paced, and detailed story of retribution and forgiveness, betrayal and vengeance, power and control. The premise is intriguing and riveting; the romance is seductive; the characters are powerful , determined and dynamic.

Sentenced to die, Petra finds herself facing execution but will be saved by vampire Nicholas Montegue, the man with whom Petra will fall in love. As Nicholas and Petra search for the only person who may be aware of a possible cure, the group known as The Alliance sets its’ sights on our story line heroine in an effort to take down that which cannot be controlled. What ensues is the building relationship and friendship between Nicholas and Petra, and the fall-out as a monster takes aim at everyone involved.

The relationship between Petra and Nicholas is one of immediate attraction but a physical relationship is impossible under the circumstances. Desperate to find a cure and save the people she loves, Petra is willing to sacrifice herself but not before finding love with our story line hero. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters all of whom have some sort of paranormal ability-not everyone will survive. Petra is thought to be a human but her ‘powers’ are much more than anyone could have imagined.

TEMPT ME DEADLY is a story of betrayal and madness, power and control, acceptance and love. The premise is emotional and captivating; the romance is heart breaking; the characters are powerful, strong and determined.

SOME BACKGROUND: Twenty years earlier, Sara Constantine’s father Frank was murdered, in a vampire-like killing. Sara had searched most of her adult life for information regarding her father’s death but nothing and no one claimed to know what happened. Three years ago, Sara met a man and fell in love only to discover said man was a vampire, and in the end, neither one was able to remember the other in the face of wiped memories, and broken hearts.

Told from third person perspectives EMBRACE ME DARKLY following several paths, focuses on attorney Sara Constantine as she is tasked with prosecuting Lucius Dragos, the vampire accused of killing Judge Marcus Braddock. Sara is a recent hire at the PEC (Preternatural Enforcement Commission), a Division of Homeland Security, in the wake of a big win in the human courts. Her first assignment with the PEC is to prove the man with whom she is falling in love is a violent vampire who has yet to gain control of his evil side but all is not as it appears to be, and Sara finds herself at a crossroads, a conflict of interest ignored by both sides. Secrets reveal a war between the Therians and the vampires is on the horizon, and the killing of the judge is the precipice upon which the war will be declared, and Sara’s last case working for the human court is about to implode.

We are introduced to several including Half-demon, PEC Agent Ryan Doyle, gifted human Agent Tucker; siren and paralegal Blair; Lucius’ friend Sergius aka Serge; Ancient vampire and liaison to the Shadow Alliance Tiberius; Nikko Leviathan, the Direct of Division 6, Head of Violent Crimes: Luke’s ward,500 year old vampire Tasha; female vampire Caris; werewolf J. Frank Murray; and Shadow Alliance advocate Nicholas Montague.

EMBRACE ME DARKLY is a complex, detailed and intricate story of the supernatural, of the beast within that must be controlled. The premise is intriguing and angst filled; the romance is seductive; the characters are numerous, energetic, powerful and dynamic.
