REVIEW: CROW’S REVENGE is the fifth instalment in Nikki Landis’ contemporary,adult DEVIL’S MURDER MC dark, erotic, MC paranormal, romance series. This is the continuing story of Devil’s Murder MC president Austin “Crow’ Holmes Jr, and his ol’ lady Bella Hart. CROW’S REVENGE can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion I recommend reading CROW (Book 1) , and TALON (book 4) . There is a slight cross over with the multi-authored RBMC series, and the Tonopah MC by Nikki Landis.

SOME BACKGROUND: The Devil’s Murder MC is a group of bikers all with special affinities and abilities related to the crows. Some have the ability to shift; call the crows for assistance, or in the case of Talon, see through the eyes, up close and personal.

Told from several first person perspectives including Crow, Bella, and Undertaker CROW’S REVENGE follows Austin ‘Crow’ Holmes as he seeks his revenge against the Dirty Death MC for the murder of his father but his father’s secrets have revealed a past Crow knew nothing about, and darkness that has taken control of someone else.

The world building continues to focus on Crow’s relationship and growing love for Bella Hart; his reconnection with the sister he never knew; and his hatred for the mother that left years before. As the Devil’s Murder MC prepares to go to war to avenge the death of their former president, not all is as it appears to be.

The relationship between Bella and Crow continues to grow. Bella is the only woman that calls to Crow’s heart but vengeance at the hands of someone else threatens Bella and Crow’s happily ever after. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful and supernatural secondary and supporting characters including several members of the Devil’s Murder MC; RBMC Tonopah MC, as well as the revelation of the presence of another supernatural characters.

CROW’S REVENGE is a story of family and friendships, betrayal and vengeance, power and retribution, magic and mayhem, acceptance and love. The premise is dark, dramatic and intense; the romance is seductive; the characters are desperate, dogged and strong-willed.

What ensues is the building relationship between Talon and Gail, and the potential fall-out as the sins of the father take aim at the Devil’s Murder MC.

The world building focuses on the war between Devil’s Murder MC and the Dirty Death MC, a war predicated upon murder and revenge. Crow is desperate to protect the sister he never knew but in doing so would leave open the only woman he would ever love.

The relationship between Talon and Gail begins as an assignment but Talon knows immediately that Gail is their mate. Talon’s internal crow needs to claim and protect the woman they will love but someone else is always waiting to tear them down. For two months Talon stood guard over the woman he would one day call mate but the sins of the father have taken aim at our the Devil’s Murder MC. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and magical secondary and supporting characters including several members of the Devil’s Murder MC, most of whom we met in the previous story lines including Gails’ brother Austin ‘Crow’ Holmes. We are reintroduced to Dirty Death MC president Undertaker, whose ‘wolf’ is determined to destroy the people who destroy his life.

TALON is a story of murder and vengeance, secrets and lies, power and control, fate acceptance, family and love. The premise is gritty, dark, intriguing and dramatic; the romance is fated and seductive; the characters are determined, desperate and powerful. TALON ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

This is Sargent at Arms Renner ‘Hawk’ James, and Callie Withers’ story line. HAWK can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading book two as most of the events in HAWK are as of a direct result from the events RAVEN. There is a slight cross over with the multi-authored RBMC series.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers. Some of the events of HAWK cross over with, and run parallel to the events of RAVEN. The Devil’s Murder is an MC made up of avian shape shifting crows.

Told from three first person perspectives (Hawk, Callie, Undertaker) covering several timelines, HAWK follows in the aftermath of the abduction of Callie’s sister Sadie. Years earlier Hawk rescued an abused and battered woman, and five years later, upon his release from prison for assaulting the man responsible, fate would cross paths when Hawk would come face to face with the battered woman’s sister Callie, the young woman who is desperately seeking her missing sister. Another abduction, a near fatal assault on Hawk’s brother Raven, and the ongoing attacks by the Dirty Death MC find Callie and Hawk struggling in their search for the people involved. As Callie and Hawk’s relationship becomes personal, someone else is targeting our story line heroine.

The relationship between Callie and Hawk is one of immediate attraction. Hawk’s crow knows that Callie is their mate but Callie is unaware of the supernatural aspect of the Devil’s Murder MC. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and often questionable secondary and supporting characters. We are reintroduced to the Devil’s Murder MC: President Crow and his old lady Bella, Raven and Bree, Cuckoo, Talon, Carrion, Claw, their healer Falcon, and IT specialist Eagle Eye, as well as Mayor Elliott, and Dirty Death MC president Undertaker.

HAWK is a fast paced story of power and control, madness and mayhem, abuse and terror, acceptance and love. The premise is detailed, dramatic and intense; the romance is a fated insta-lust to love ; the characters are dynamic, determined and energetic. The conflict has yet to be resolved-Callie’s sister’s whereabouts are unknown.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Raven and Bree) using present day and memories from the past, RAVEN follows in the building relationship between club VP Asmon aka Raven, and twenty-six year old, receptionist Brianna ‘Bree’ Hart. Ten years earlier after the death of his unborn son, Raven found himself out in a storm, rescuing the woman that would one day become his mate. Five years later, having buried another loved one, Raven would, once again, come face to face Brianna as she buried her grandmother, another fated meeting that would pull our couple into the present. Bella Hart (Bree’s sister) had ‘infiltrated’ the Devil’s Murder MC in the hopes of getting help for her missing sister but Raven and the DMMC had no idea as to the identity of the missing young woman, the woman that would call to Raven’s heart and his ‘crow’. Meanwhile, Raven battles between head and heart knowing Bree needs more time to come to terms with what happened but Raven’s crow is desperate to claim Bree as their mate but someone else is coming to claim what doesn’t belong.

The relationship between Bree and Raven begins ten years earlier when Raven rescued Bree from a burning car. Fast forward ten years, and once again, Raven finds himself Bree’s savior and rescuer, a message from the crows that Bree is his mate. Raven and the Devil’s Murder MC all have the ability to talk and see through the crows, crows that will do their bidding when the time is called. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate -but beware the scenes of assault are graphic and hard.

We are re-introduced to the Devil’s Murder MC: President Crow and his old lady Bella, Cuckoo, Talon, Carrion, Hawk, Claw, their healer Falcon, IT specialist Eagle Eye, as well as several members of the RBMC Tonopath, and Bree’s best friend Callie. The requisite evil has many faces.

RAVEN is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, abuse and torture, acceptance, healing and love. The premise is dark, gritty and may be difficult for some; the age-gap romance is limited to Raven’s protection of, and claiming of our story line heroine; the characters are charismatic and strong.
