REVIEW: GRIZ’S EDGE is the fifth instalment in EC Land’s contemporary, adult DEVIL’S RIOT MC: TENNESSEE erotic, MC romance series. This is MC member Road Captain Graham ‘Griz’ Holland, and process server/skip tracer Marley Keys’ story line. GRIZ’S EDGE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Graham and Marley) GRIZ’S EDGE follows in the wake of Marley Keys serving Graham Holland a summons to appear in court. From the outset there is a definite sexual attraction between our story line couple, one that Graham is determined to seek and explore but Marley has a stalker, and Graham is determined to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love. Meanwhile, Graham himself is dealing with a class A clinger, someone who takes aim at our story line couple.

The world building follows the search for a possible killer. The threats against Marley are personal and dangerous, and in this, Marley’s family must come to terms with secrets from the past.

The relationship between Marley and Graham is one of immediate attraction but Marley doesn’t get involved with potential criminals, and Graham’s attempts at seduction only flare the anger of our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and determined secondary and supporting characters including most of the current members of the Devil’s Riot MC: club Prez Blow, Keys, Markus, Torch, Shiner, Sniper, Scorn and Nines. We are introduced to Marley’s brother Marshall, her sister Marla, as well as their parents Michael and Anna, grandma Ryan; Deputy Riggs, Detective Deets and his daughter Hattie.

GRIZ’S EDGE is a story of secrets and lies, obsession and madness, power and control, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is dramatic and edgy, ; the characters are animated , feisty and desperate; the romance is spirited and passionate.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Lucky and Chelsea) LUCKY’S STREAK follows in the aftermath of the fallout of a one-night stand between Lucky and Chelsea. Our heroine Chelsea was humiliated by the man with whom she thought she had fallen in love but in retaliation against Lucky proved more tiresome when she did not get the results she wanted, and Chelsea prepared to move on with her life but Chelsea has a secret that is about to implode, a secret that has placed a target on her back. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Chelsea and Lucky, and the potential fall-out as Chelsea struggles to trust in the face of perceived betrayal including the man whom she loves.

The relationship between Chelsea and Lucky is acrimonious at best. The fast paced, character driven premise is dramatic, gritty and twisted; the romance is edgy; the characters are animated, determined and impassioned.
