Daegan is running out of time to find the destructive dragon impersonating him and the woman who claims to be the Treoir family squire, but Casidhe has no intention of being caught. She’s racing to find her best friend believed captured by a deadly being. With Atlanta reeling from supernaturals being revealed, the Beladors are battling to protect humans while losing their own to Imortiks possessing any warm body, human or nonhuman. Hunting answers in Ireland lands Tristan somewhere he quickly realizes epitomizes a fate worse than death. Cathbad visits Queen Maeve to gain access to her resources, but the meeting turns explosive and costs him more than he could have imagined.

Imortiks drawn to the venom in Daegan’s body are draining his powers when he needs them most. With Beladors awaiting execution in Atlanta and Tristan still to be found, Daegan goes all in to gain information. Choosing the lesser of two evils means still ending up with one.

Review:

Treoir Dragon Chronicles of the Belador World: Book 2 is the 2nd book in the 9 book arc of this series. Refresher: Daegan and his team are attacked by Immortiks, who were supposed dead many years ago. Even though Daegan is a bit disabled, but many are being held prisoners, with the threat of death if he can’t find the missing ‘grimoire’, volumes.  With Tristan now captured by another evil entity trying to find the volumes, Daegan must find help. The information on the Immortiks and the grimoire is difficult to find, as it dates back thousands of years ago

When we left off in book 1, Daegon is desperate to save his people from the Imortiks, especially Tristan, who is captured by a familiar evil being.  In book 2, Daegon is in dire straits, himself trying to recover from the poisoning, as well as a strange and mysterious woman who wields a big sword and manages to escape him.  Casidhe is an ancient Luigsech researcher, who is able to read the grimoire volumes what others also want, but she only cares about her friend Fenella, who is now missing.

Daegon will bring in Quinn and Reese to help him find Casidhe, as he needs her to help, as well as finding out who has kidnapped Tristan, as time is of essence to save him.  Casidhe doesn’t trust Daegon (since she does not know who he really is), but eventually she is willing to help Daegon, but only if he will help her find Fenella.  They both get off on the wrong foot, with constant tension and arguing between them.  I suspect in upcoming books we may see them become romantically involved, as we can sense their budding chemistry.  The POV’s continue with Daegan, the evil Cathbad and also Casidhe. We also learn from Quinn, that Reese is keeping a secret, which we will learn more about in upcoming books.

This is a difficult review to write without giving spoilers, as these are short stories and saying too much would be too revealing. You truly do need to read these books in cohesion.  What follows is an exciting, tense, suspenseful, paranormal adventure. It is great to see many of our favorites from the Belador series make appearances to help Daegon and find the grimoire.   If you are new and love paranormal, urban fantasy, suspense, romance, great characters, you should be reading Dianna Love.

Review:

Treoir Dragon Chronicles of the Belador World by Dianna Love is the 1st book in her new 9 book series Arc.  I have been a huge fan of Dianna Love for a long time, having loved her Belador & other series.  With this new arc in the same world, I am excited to return there.

Treoir Dragon Chronicles centers around the Belador King, Daegan, as he is called to rescue one of his Beladors.  We see that three Beladors in separate spots, are taken down by a powerful Immortik (thought dead thousands of years ago), and even Daegan nor  Tristan cannot help the kidnapped members.  Daegan, who is ultra-powerful, and can secretly shift to a Red Dragon, but to his surprise, he feels the Immortik is able to disable him; he is given a warning; the Beladors have two weeks to find two missing ‘grimoire’ that was divided up and hidden two millennias ago, or his people will be killed.   Daegan has no choice and calls his team together to Treoir to find a way to stop the Immortik, get the grimoire before Maeve, Viper, Cathbad or Macha find it themselves.  On top of this issue, there is an unknown group creating videos to show humans that supernaturals do exist, and showing a red dragon on the screen.  Daegan is determined to find who this fake Red Dragon is, not to mention who is behind this chaos to create fear to humans.

It was great to see all of our favorites again, such as Evalle, Tristan, Adrianna, Quinn, Storm, Tzader, Brina.  The information on the Immortiks and the grimoire is difficult to find, as it dates back thousands of years ago.  Daegan with help from Tristan, searches for a female squire who is able to find old books, and going back to his old homes to look for family that may have survived his 2000-year captivity.

We do get two POV’s from the evil Cathbad and the squire, giving us more information as to what Daegan doesn’t know.   Daegan, the Beladors and humans are all in danger as the world as they know it is about the change. Daegan is a great leader, loyal and protective of his team, and determined to defeat the enemy.

I am not going to tell too much more, since I do not want to give spoilers.  What follows is an exciting pulse pounding paranormal, suspenseful adventure, with many of our wonderful heroes from the previous books.  Keep in mind that these are shorter books in this 9-book arc, and be warned that this one ended with a cliffhanger.  If you are a Belador fan, do not miss this new series.  If you are new and love paranormal, urban fantasy, suspense, romance, great characters, you should be reading Dianna Love.

Review:

Wild Wolf Mate by Dianna Love is the 5th book in her wonderful League of Gallize Shifters series.  I have said this previously, I am a big fan of Dianna Love, and I look forward to reading all of her books, as she always gives us great exciting, fun stories, with fantastic characters.   Background: The Gallize shifters are run by an ancient and powerful shifter, and they are the good guys, who secretly protect humans from the bad shifter groups.

Adrian, our hero, whom we met previously, is a Gallize Wolf Shifter, and he continues to have problems with his wolf, which happened on a rescue mission when they were locked in a cage.  The Guardian has sent Adrian on a mission, hoping he would find a way to reconcile with his wolf “Red” (nickname is Mad Red), who is deranged since that mission). Because of this, Adrian lives a tortured existence constantly fighting his angry wolf.

Jazlyn, our heroine, is a healer who helped save Adrian’s life in the previous book, but she is on the run from shifters, as she killed one shifter, but she did so in self defense and has to find a way to prove it. Jazlyn is also trying to find and save some female shifters that were kidnapped. Adrian will come to her rescue, as he knows she is his mate; but can help her prove her innocence?

It is Jazlyn, who tries to heal the bond between Adrian and Red, but she knows it is a slow process.  The two very quickly succumb to their feelings for each other, which complicates things for both; The Guardian wants Adrian to find her, and Jazlyn is determined to save her friends.  I really loved Jazlyn and Adrian together, not to mention their wolves also feel that the pull of being mates.

What follows is an exciting action-packed story, with Jazlyn getting caught and Adrian having to come to her rescue. The last half of the book was great, especially as we raced to the climatic ending.  I was on the edge of my seat during the tense non-stop action-packed last half of the book.  I do not want to ruin it for you by giving any spoilers, but this was an edge of your seat suspense that had us holding our breaths to find out if they would survive, and if Red would help Adrian.

Dianna Love once again gives us another wonderful story, and a series that continues to amaze us with each book, which are always fun, exciting, action packed adventures; and with a great sexy couple.

As I always come to expect with Dianna Love, Wild Wolf Mate was a tense, sexy, exciting adventure; with a great couple and wonderful secondary characters.  If you are not reading Dianna Love, you need to start, as she always creates exciting fun stories.   I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

Description:
Gan never wanted to be a shifter and now he’s got a monster Siberian Tiger inside of him. He’s spent his whole life as a prisoner. This is no different. The minute he convinces the happens, Gan plans to vanish and live in a wilderness, leaving shifters behind forever, because he’ll have control of the crazy tiger. He gets his chance at freedom by hiding the fact that his animal is still insane. All he has to do is keep his tiger buttoned down long enough to observe on a mission and pay back a debt he owes to a sexy cougar shifter. That might have worked perfectly if Gan’s heart hadn’t fallen victim to the female running the mission … and if his tiger hadn’t busted loose.

As a cougar shifter, Scarlett spends most of her days rescuing female shifters from predators. She has no intention of calling in the marker Gan owes her until she needs a rogue to help her save an innocent from powerful people she’s avoided her whole life. Unlike the other Gallize, an angry Gan has no problem breaking a few rules, and she’s seen the true man inside who will protect a vulnerable innocent. She had a sound plan, one that would cost only her if things went bad, until that crazy tiger shifter destroyed any hope of walking away from him. When Gan and Scarlett face impossible odds, each of them must put the one thing they hold most dear on the line to protect the other.

Every story is stand alone.

Review:

Scent of a Mate by Dianna Love is the 4th book in her wonderful League of Gallize Shifters series. I am a big fan of Dianna Love, and I look forward to reading any of her books, as she always gives us great exciting, fun stories, with fantastic characters.   Background: The Gallize shifters are run by an ancient and powerful shifter, and they are the good guys, who secretly protect humans from the bad shifter groups.

Gan, our hero, is a Siberian tiger shifter, and has spent most of his life as a prisoner.  Gan has become a new member of the Gallize shifters, but he still feels like a prisoner and wants to run away to gain his freedom.  Since he is a newbie, Gan is assigned to work with other Gallize shifters, to learn how to bond and deal with his tiger.

Scarlett, our heroine, is a cougar shifter, who spends her time freeing other female shifters, as well as trying to find her sister.  She knows she is coming up against a powerful shifter, and requests help from the Gallize leader, who sends two of his men, which will include Gan, who follows as part of his training.

Gan, is immediately attracted to Scarlett, and despite his language barrier, she works with him how to behave, and learn to bond with his tiger.  Scarlett finds herself becoming attracted to handsome hunk, Gan, but will not allow herself to be bonded to any man. She realizes that Gan’s strength is powerful and she can use him to help free her kidnapped friends.  In a short time, their romance will escalate to a scorching level, with both unable to hide their strong feelings; so much so that they will each put their own lives in danger to protect one another.

We learn more about the female shifters that Scarlett is trying to free, and I expect more future stories for them.   There are two powerful villains in this story, both after Scarlett, and Gan will do anything to protect her.

What follows is an exciting action-packed story, but I do not want to ruin it for you by giving any spoilers. The last half of the book was great, especially as we raced to the climatic ending.  I was on the edge of my seat during the last half of the book. My favorite character in this book was Scarlett, as she was a fabulous heroine.  I liked Gan, but I did find him somewhat annoying early on; but in the end they made a great couple.

Dianna Love once again gives us another wonderful story, and a series that continues to wow us and was a fun, exciting, action packed adventure; with a great sexy couple, which you should be reading.  As I always come to expect with Dianna Love, Scent of a Mate was a fun, exciting adventure; great sexy couple, wonderful secondary characters, and bad villains.  I cannot wait for the next book. I strongly suggest you start with Gray Wolf Mate, if you have not read this series and enjoy the ride.

Evalle and Storm by Dianna Love – a Review

Evalle and Storm by Dianna Love – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / iTunes / Google Play

Description:
To bond or not to bond should be a simple question, but nothing is ever easy in the life of this particular Belador and Skinwalker couple.

Evalle cheated death after Storm and her friends pulled her from a brutal imprisonment in another realm only to now end up unable to shift into her gryphon. Against his better judgment, Storm agrees to hold off on bonding while they travel to Arizona to help his uncle figure out what is behind an unnatural death on the reservation. The more powers Evalle loses, the more she realizes linking to Storm could be lethal. As the investigation takes an unexpected turn, Evalle jumps at a chance to regain her gryphon and powers in an all-or-none gamble, but makes a deadly mistake. Storm has a breakthrough on the unnatural deaths only to realize he’s put a target on Evalle’s back.

Review:

Evalle and Storm by Dianna Love is book 10.5 of her wonderful Belador series.  I love this series, and can’t wait to dig in and enjoy each and every book of this series. In Evalle and Storm, Dianna gives us another exciting and tense story, even though it is a short story (a bit more than a novella). I love Evalle, who is one of my favorite kick ass heroines.

When the last book left off in Treoir Dragon Hoard, the gang saved Evalle, but the cost for her was mind boggling; she could no longer shift to her Gryphon.   Evalle and Storm is a story we have been waiting for a long time; a tense but romantic story of our favorite couple.   Storm can see how Evalle is not handling her loss of her Gryphon, and sees she is slowly losing her other powers.  He tries to convince Evalle to bond with him and he can help her bring back her powers; but Evalle is afraid that if she bonds to Storm, she may infect him with whatever is still growing inside her.

When Storm is called by an uncle to help a serious deathly situation in Arizona, he and Evalle fly to investigate.  As Evalle keeps weakening, Storm is concerned and despite his working to solve a dark majak murder, he is hoping a seer or their medicine man might be able to help her.

What follows is an exciting adventure that will put both Evalle and Storm’s life in danger.  But most of all, it is a beautiful romance between two people we have rooted a long time for.  We know Storm will do anything to save Evalle; but will Evalle be able to rise up and save herself?  Another wonderful part of this story, was a sweet chapter early on revolving around Feenix, our wonderful adorable cute Gargoyle pet of Evalle’s.  In my last review, I asked Dianna to give us more of Feenix, and I was so pleased to see this happen.  More more Feenix..  ?

Evalle and Storm was an exciting and romantic story line, with a frantic climatic finish.  Dianna Love always gives us great stories, and wonderful characters.  I loved how she devoted this book to Evalle and Storm.  Very well done.

If you love paranormal, urban fantasy, exciting adventures and romance, with fantastic characters you should be reading this series, as Dianna is one of the best.  You need to start with the first book, in order to know Evalle (one of the best kick-ass heroines) and meet all the Beladors.  If you have not read Dianna Love, what are you waiting for?

Stalking His Mate by Dianna Love – a Review

Stalking His Mate by Dianna Love – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / BAM / Book Depository

Description:
Having spent her life as a captive, Siofra escapes when her power surfaces to save her from an attack, which exposes her as a nonhuman. All she wants to do is find her brother who is also being hunted, then vanish to live free from shifters. That was the plan and it would have worked if a golden-eyed jaguar shifter hadn’t stepped between her and a dangerous jackal, throwing a major kink in her escape when she falls for the sexy protector.

Rory didn’t choose to be a jaguar shifter and is determined to not mate even though he faces death from the Gallize mating curse if he doesn’t. The end may come sooner than he expects when his jaguar loses the ability to heal them, but that doesn’t prevent Rory from racing in to save a young woman from a vicious predator. The moment Siofra is in his arms and his power reaches out to hers, he struggles against the primal pull of the one woman he’s drawn to as a mate. Even if he didn’t feel the need to end his bloodline, she hates shifters.

None of that will matter if Rory fails to stop the deadly Black River Pack from using Siofra in a grisly experiment when she’s caught in a trap.

Review:

Stalking His Mate by Dianna Love is the 3rd book in her wonderful League of Gallize Shifters series. I am a big fan of Dianna Love, and I look forward to reading any of her books, as she always gives us great exciting, fun stories, with fantastic characters.   I am happy to say I loved Stalking His Mate. Background: The Gallize shifters are run by an ancient and powerful shifter, and they are the good guys, who secretly protect humans from the bad shifter groups.

In Stalking His Mate, we meet Siofra, our heroine, right from the start, as she is running away from killing one of the guards who was trying to rape her.  Siofra has been a captive by the Cadells Jackal pack almost all of her life; she also has the ability to see ghosts. Siofra was able to escape when one of the ghosts tried to help her, and suddenly she had powers that would save her life. Now she is on the run, knowing that the Jackals will be searching for her.

Rory, our hero, is a Jaguar shifter and a member of the Gallize Shifters. On a mission with his teammates, he comes across a young woman being attacked, and goes to her rescue.  Before he steps in to help her, he notices that she suddenly gets free, killing her attacker using her hands.  She manages to help Rory with the other attackers, but runs away before he can talk to her.  Eventually, Siofra and Rory will find each other and join hands to help her find her ‘brother’, as well as be one step ahead of the attackers.  A slow build romance begins with Rory and Siofra, with each having their own trust issues that would make their romance destined to fail.

Rory is also undergoing some issues with his Jaguar, which is affecting his ability to heal; even the Guardian tries to help Rory, and tells him he needs to come to terms with his own attitude and accept his Jaguar.  Rory also refused to acknowledge that Siofra was his mate, even though Ferrell (his Jaguar knew she was his).

What follows is an intense exciting action packed story that finds both Rory and Siofra constantly in danger.  The evil Jackal and Wolf packs are killing humans, and determined to get Siofra and her brother back into their control.   I do not want to ruin it for you by giving any spoilers, but this was an edge of your seat suspense that had us holding our breaths to find out if they would survive.  The last half of the book was a wild exciting non- stop, action packed race to save them all.

Dianna Love once again gives us another wonderful story, and a series that continues to wow us and look forward to more of the same.

As I always come to expect with Dianna Love, Stalking his Mate was a fun, exciting, tense adventure; great sexy couple, wonderful secondary characters, and bad villains.  I cannot wait for the next book. I strongly suggest you start with Gray Wolf Mate and enjoy the ride.

Review:

Treoir Dragon Hoard by Dianna Love is the 10th book in her fantastic Belador series.  As I have said before, Dianna Love is one of my favorite authors, and this series is one of my top favorites.  Once again, she gives us an exciting tense on the edge story that keeps us glued to our seat from start to finish.

Daegan, the dragon leader of the Beladors and Treoir, continues to make his team top priority, and has no qualms about putting his own life in danger.  Treoir Dragon Hoard starts with Evalle (our wonderful series heroine) going on a mission with Adrianna, which ends up as a trap, with her being kidnapped.  Storm, her lover, cannot sense Evalle, since his connection to her was ripped out of her chest during the kidnapping. Where is Evalle, and why did they kidnap her?

The story centers on Daegan, Storm, Quinn, Adrianna, Tristan, Reese and the rest of the team desperately trying to find Evalle.  The other POV is with Evalle, as she is now in another realm where no one can find her. The enemy is in control in this realm, leaving Evalle in bad shape unable to shift to her gryphon self to heal.  She is forced to do the enemy’s bidding to fight off monsters; which is expected from her to be able to fight Daegan, or her friends and family will all die.  What is Evalle going to do?

Storm is desperately trying find his mate, and also try to keep his calm, as all the Beladors and Alterants are working  together to help find her.  The story does not let up, as we are on the edge of our seat throughout the whole book.  I will not tell too much more, since I do not want to give spoilers.  What follows is an exciting pulse pounding adventure, with all of our favorites playing major parts. We also get to see some of our recurring villains such as Macha, Maeve, Cathbad, as well as the new villains, who are just as evil.  I have to say that I was thrilled to get to see a bit more of my favorite gargoyle, Feenix.  ( I love my sweet Feenix).

Treoir Dragon Hoard was an exciting, wild fantastic race to the climax, holding our breaths to see how it would end.   Dianna Love always gives us great characters, even the bad ones.  I love how she makes wonderful heroines, who continue to play major parts of the stories; Evalle, Adrianna, Reese and Brina.

If you love paranormal, urban fantasy, suspense and romance, with fantastic characters you should be reading this series, as Dianna is one of the best.  You need to start with the first book, in order to know Evalle (one of the best kick-ass heroines) and all the Beladors.  If you have not read Dianna Love, what are you waiting for?

He turns into a monster grizzly and rushes into danger without hesitation to do his duty … but he’s having second thoughts on his current assignment. If there’s one thing he can’t tolerate it is arrogant people like the jerks he grew up around who acted superior to him. First he has to stop the assassin trying to kill him and kidnap her.

Her plan was simple and doable, but meeting Justin complicated everything.

Review:

Mating a Grizzly by Dianna Love is the 2nd book in her League of Gallize Shifters series. The Gallize shifters, are run by an ancient and powerful shifter (Guardian), who secretly protect humans from bad shifter groups.  In Mating a Grizzly, we meet Elianna, our heroine, right from the start, as she is running away from a group of wolf shifters. When she gets caught, she fears for the life of her younger brother, Nico, but just in time, she is rescued by her father’s bear pack.  Elianna’s father is a powerful grizzly, who is married with other children, and looks upon her as his first child, by a woman he left long ago.  Elianna is the outcast princess.  To save Nico, she makes a deal with her father to go to the United States and mate with a member of Clan Boudreaux; once she does that they will send Nico to live with her.

Justin, our hero, is one of the Gallize shifters, and the Guardian forces him to take on an assignment to protect and bring a princess to her new Clan.  Justin, is a grizzly shifter, and is unhappy about this assignment to be a bodyguard for some princess.  He prefers to stay back and help his friend and partner recover from a previous attack (part of earlier novella).  When Justin meets Eli, she is not what he expected; as she is strong, determined and smart, though she does have a language barrier being Russian. Eli wants a 5 day break before she is taken to Clan Boundreaux, which she also secretly plans on finding a way to escape and get Nico back.

Eli has trouble shifting, since she has no real control over her bear, not to mention suffering embarrassment from people who do not like her bear.  When she is injured, Justin will force her to shift, and he tells her she is a Ursine hybrid, but that that her bear is special and  unique.   Everything will begin to change, as Justin’s grizzly (named Herc) will recognize Eli’s bear as his mate.   This is an exciting and dangerous adventure that will put their lives in danger often.   Eli will fight off her growing attraction to Justin, as she knows she must mate someone from her new pack in order to save young Nico. Their slow built romance begins to sizzle, with both knowing their love is real, but can there be any future?

What they do not know is that someone is determined to stop Eli from arriving at Clan Boudreaux.  Who is trying to kill Eli?

What follows is an exciting action packed story, but I do not want to ruin it for you by giving any spoilers. The last half of the book was great, especially as we raced to the wild climatic ending, It was an edge of your seat suspense that had us holding our breaths to find out if they would survive.  I loved Justin and Eli together, but even close to the end, I was not sure if they could find a way to become mates.  Dianna Love once again gives us another wonderful story, and a series that continues to wow us and look forward to more of the same.  Mating a Grizzly was a fun, exciting, action packed adventure; with a great sexy couple, which you should be reading.
