REVIEW:CLAIRE’S GUARDIAN by DM Earl is a contemporary, adult, erotic, romantic suspense storyline found in the multi-authored Police & Fire: Operation Alpha, based on characters first introduced by Susan Stoker. This is paramedic/fire fighter/animal abuse investigator and former US soldier Danny Moretti, and widow/single mother Claire George’s story line. CLAIRE’S GUARDIAN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from several first person perspectives (Claire, Danny, Nova, Tex, ) CLAIRE’S GUARDIAN follows the building romance and relationship between Danny and Claire. Approximately five years earlier Claire’s husband lost his life while on assignment in the Middle East, and with the help of her sister and brother in law, has raised their two sons on her own. Meeting her sister’s neighbor, fire fighter Danny Moretti gives Claire hopes for the future but a possible arsonist / serial killer/ animal abuser is targeting the small town, as well as our story line heroine. Someone from the past is taking aim at the first responders, and Danny is about to discover, what happens in the past, doesn’t always remain in the past. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Danny and Claire, and the potential fall-out as a killer sets his sights on our story line couple.

The world building continues to focus on the group of former US Military heroes, whose return home comes with grief and guilt. As each member of the team finds his own happily ever after, there is always someone else waiting to take them down.

The relationship between Claire and Danny is one of immediate attraction but Claire’s first priority is the safety and protection of her five year old twins, and Danny may be the man to accept our heroine, and the children she loves. As Danny begins a slow dance of seduction with Claire, someone else is waiting to destroy them both. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of energetic and determined secondary and supporting characters, many of whom we have met in the previous storylines. We are introduced to Claire’s sister /and Danny’s neighbors Marjorie and Herb, as well as several members of Danny’s military teammates turned first responders.

CLAIRE’S GUARDIAN is a story of vengeance and madness, betrayal and powers, murder and abuse, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is intriguing, intense and dramatic; the romance is seductive; the characters are desperate, dynamic and charismatic.

REVIEW:TAZ is the third instalment in DM Earl’s contemporary, adult DEVIL’S HANDMAIDENS: Timber Ghost Montana, MC dark, erotic MC romance series. This is Intruders MC enforcer Travis ‘Enforcer Milford, and Devil’s Handmaidens MC IT specialist Raquel ‘Que’ aka Taz Smith’s story line. TAZ can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Told from several first person perspectives including Taz and Enforcer, TAZ follows in the wake of a number of events linked to a powerful American white supremacist group known as Thunder Cloud Knuckle Brotherhood, one of whom was once involved with our story line heroine. An attack against Taz’s autistic son Teddy, hundreds of thousands of dollars missing from a bank account, several shoot outs, and a number of injured MC member places the blame squarely on the TCK Brotherhood, a Brotherhood with connections that go deep into the pockets of US politicians but one member has gone rogue, setting his sights on Raquel ‘Que’ aka Taz Smith, and her inter-racial son who is deemed less than nothing. As the Handmaidens and Intruders begin to amass a support group from a number of local and out of state MCs, misunderstanding, miscommunication and heart break begin to take their toll on our story line couple. What ensues is the building relationship between Taz and Enforcer, and the fall-out as the Brotherhood takes aim at everyone involved.

The relationship between Taz and Enforcer has been building throughout the series but Taz was in a bad place when she sought help from the Devils Handmaidens. Several members of the Intruders are involved with the members of the Devils Handmaidens, and as such, find themselves protecting the women with whom they will fall in love. While Travis and Taz’s relationship begins to build, Taz and everyone else has already fallen in love with Taz’s son Teddy. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, dynamic and familiar faces, many of whom we have met in previous instalments including the Intruders MC, as well as many of the author’s other series : the Grimm Wolves MC, and the multi-authored Mayhem Makers series.

TAZ is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, obsession and madness, discrimination, racism, murder and abuse. The complex premise is dark, gritty and twisted; the romance is provocative; the characters are desperate, determined and haunted. TAZ ends on a happily ever after-for now. There conflict has yet to be completely eliminated.

Told from several first person perspectives (Zoey and Panther) SHADOW focuses on the take down of a pedophile ring in Timber Ghost, Montana. Panther and his ‘brother’ Avalanche, both former US Navy SEALs, hunt those who prey on children and teens but Panther is unaware of just how close he is to discovering the truth about the woman he loves, a woman who has suffered at the hands of a psychotic monster. A call to exchange victims for money finds the Devil’s Handmaidens MC, the Intruders MC, as well as Panther and Avalanche, walking into an ambush, an ambush that pulls Zoey back into the past, where she and Panther will come face to face with our heroine’s nightmare. As Panther and Zoey find themselves unwilling victims of a serial predator, their family and friends set into motion a plan to take down of the people at the top.

Panther has loved Zoey ‘Shadow’ Jeffries for as long as he can remember but Panther must bide his time in an effort to gain Zoey’s trust, and prove she is worthy of his love. The $ex scenes are passionate but unconventional in the wake of past trauma and abuse.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and determined secondary and supporting characters many of whom we met in the previous story line. We are reintroduced to Tink and Noodles, Glory, Raven, Rebel, Peanut, Hearbreaker, Hannah, Stud and Freak, among a few; several members of the Intruders MC, including their president Tank Rivers, and his wife Diane; and the introduction of Sheriff George. The requisite evil has many faces.

SHADOW is a dark, gritty, dramatic, intense and traumatic story of terror and abuse; power and control; addiction and obsession; acceptance and love. The premise is tragic, disquieting, heart breaking and may be difficult for some readers; the romance is passionate but atypical; the characters are broken, struggling, and determined.
