He’s a man of few words, but she fills his soul with poetry.
Quiet. Brooding. Capable. Shaw’s mission is simple: Root out Stonemore’s leader and determine what the Divine has in store for the people of Zora and the Kings. Just as he gets started, however, a breathtakingly beautiful woman finds and tempts him like no other. Nothing can stop him from engaging in the pleasures she offers. After all, pillow talk is sometimes the best way to uncover secrets.
Nia’s life has never been hers. From starving on the streets to becoming a slave to the Divine, she merely does what’s needed to survive. But when her latest assignment brings her face-to-face with a handsome man who makes her feel things she’s never experienced before, she begins to see that while she’s been living, she’s not really thriving.
As truths are revealed, and Nia’s blinders are removed, she realizes that she can no longer sit by and allow things to continue as they have been in her city. It’s time to take a stand. With Shaw by her side, they spark a war so many have tried to avoid. But the injustices being perpetrated must be stopped—no matter the cost.

REVIEW:DRAGON ETERNAL is the fourth instalment in Donna Grant’s adult DRAGON KINGS paranormal/fantasy romance series-a spin of from the author’s Dark Kings series. This is King of the Sapphire Dragons Shaw, and human female Nia’s story line. DRAGON ETERNAL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion. The author does reveal the history between the dragons and humans.
SOME BACKGROUND: For tens of thousands of years the Dragons have lived and ruled on Earth but a war between the dragons and humans forced the Dragon Kings to send the other dragons through a portal into an unknown world. Fast forward to present day, the portal has been revealed, and the Dragon Kings have been reunited with their family and kin in Zora, but a new war is on the horizon between the Dragons, the Divine and the people of Stonemore.
Told from third person perspective DRAGON ETERNAL follows King of the Sapphire Dragons Shaw as he and Dragon King Merrill are tasked with uncovering the truth behind the power and purpose of the Divine. In Stonemore, children with magic are put to death, and in this, the Dragons want to end the killings before more children and magic are destroyed but Shaw never expected to meet Nia, a young woman supposedly cherished by the Divine, a young woman ordered to seduce our story line hero. Nia knew that to gain her freedom she would have to obey the Divine’s missive but Nia quickly found herself falling for a Dragon King, the beast she was ordered to seduce and captivate. Not all was going according to plan as Shaw fell for the woman who could have been his enemy, a woman he knew he would claim as his own. What ensues is the quick building romance and relationship between Nia and Shaw, and the potential fall-out as the Divine and his minions are desperate to capture a Dragon King for their own.
Meanwhile, Merrill has been working his way through the streets of Stonemore, in an effort to uncover the who, how and why of the Divine but Merrill has gone missing, and the Dragon King may be the next target for the Soldier Priests of the Divine. As Merrill searches for the truth, King of the Dragon King’s son Brandr, has ventured on his own, in an effort to ferret out an enemy he knows nothing about.
The relationship between Nia and Shaw is predicated upon a lie and an obsession. Nia is ordered to seduce our story line hero, and Shaw finds himself falling for a woman that calls to his heart. The $ex scenes are limited but intimate and passionate.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters including a number of the Dragon Kings we have met in the Dark Kings series, as well as Con and Rhi, alchemist Sian, Tamlyn and Cullen, Merrill, Villette, Henry the Druid, and the return of Teal Dragon King Vaughn, and his mate half fae-half dragon hybrid Eurwen, Eurwen’s brother and twin Brandr, and Nia’s hand maiden Sadie. The requisite evil has many faces.
DRAGON ETERNAL is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, relationships, friendships, family and love. The premise is intriguing and captivating; the romance is fated; the characters are powerful and charismatic.

Shaw stood with his eyes closed on the cliff near Cairnkeep and listened to the dragons. The flaps of their wings, their roars as they called to one another, and the whoosh as they flew. He had missed the sounds the most.
He drew in a deep breath and slowly released it, enjoying the feel of the sun upon his face. The dragons’ peaceful noises calmed the rage inside him. Most of his Dragon King brethren pretended that fury didn’t exist. But it was there.
Always.
Until now. For the first time in ages, he felt as if things were back to normal.
Except, they weren’t.
They were far from it, actually. Yet, for this moment, he could pretend as if they were on Earth, that the dragons had never been sent away, and that they had never heard of humans.
Sadly, all of that was simply wishing. Because the mortals had come, there had been a war, and the dragons had been sent away. For so long, Shaw, like many Dragon Kings, had feared they would never find their dragons again.
He opened his eyes and looked at the mountains around him. Zora. A realm the Dragon Kings only recently discovered that had been the dragons’ home since that fateful day on Earth. Zora was a spectacular realm. Majestic mountains, breathtaking plains, stunning forests, and everything in between. Every vista was dazzling in its splendor. The sky was brighter, the oceans bluer, the grass greener.
Shaw felt whole once more. And it was all because he was with the dragons.
