ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 4, 2018

The birth of three royal babies in rapid succession calls for a celebration! King Ouros and Queen Ignita invite the best and the brightest to share their joy in the arrival of their grandchildren from daughters Thalina, Anguissa, and Percipia.

But the ritual of esteemed guests granting each child a gift brings a surprise that will cast a long shadow…

•••••••••

REVIEW: NIMUE’S GIFT by Deborah Cooke is a short story that falls between Wyvern’s Angel and Wyvern’s Wizard in the author’s paranormal/sci-fi/fantasy series focusing on the twelve royal dragon princesses of Incendium. NIMUE’S GIFT can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion, I recommend reading the series in order. NIMUE’S GIFT is the first instalment in the Dragons of Incendium featuring a slight cross-over with the author’s Dragonfire series but I am not sure in which series the story line will continue.

SOME BACKGROUND: The twelve female dragon princesses of Incendium search for their ‘HeartKeeper’-their mate and the carrier of the seed-but the princes of Regalia are not necessarily the male that calls to the princesses’ heart. As each female dragon shifter finds her mate, another sister waits in the wings for the ‘Carrier of the Seed’ and male that calls to her heart.

Told from several third person perspectives NIMUE’S GIFT follows a number of paths as a visitor imparts a gift to several members of the ruling family. The birth of three royal babies is celebrated with great pomp and fanfare but one being of immense power and magic has claimed the original dragonfire bestowing an invaluable legacy and offering upon the youngest members of the royal family.

NIMUE’S GIFT is a short story that opens up a realm of possibilities for both the Dragonfire series and the Dragons of Incendium with a potential cross-over between characters and back stories. A revealing and intriguing instalment NIMUE’S GIFT is a well-written narrative wherein the story is told through observation as the reader is up close and personal with the author as she begins to weave endless possibilities for the dragons we love.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date December 26 2017

In this short story, Celo, the hidden prince who understands the language of wild creatures, unearths a forgotten secret. He accepts a challenge and embarks on a quest, seeking the solution to the riddle beyond the forests of Regalia.

Celo’s Quest is included in the print edition of Wyvern’s Outlaw.

•••••

REVIEW: CELO’S QUEST by Deborah Cooke is a short story that falls between Wyvern’s Outlaw and Wyvern’s Angel in the author’s paranormal/ fantasy Dragons of Incendium romance series. Celo (first introduced in Wyvern’s Outlaw) is the hidden prince of Regalia and newly crowned King Venero’s brother.

SOME BACKGROUND: For fans of Cooke’s previous series about dragons, THE DRAGONS OF INCENDIUM is NOT connected to, or a spinoff from, her best selling Dragonfire series. The current series focuses on female dragon shifters of Incendium searching for their ‘HeartKeeper’-their mate- and the ‘Carrier of the Seed’.

Told from third person perspective (Celo) CELO’S QUEST is a short story that reveals some of the background and history of the dragon; their origins and their elemental affinities, and the curse that has all but destroyed the original dragon beast. Our hero Celo, on a quest of his own, will come face to face with, quite possibly, the oldest and only living ‘true’ dragon who offers up his story, in advance of a request of our story line hero.

CELO’S QUEST is a story of reflection; of a history between dragon and man; and curses and magic. The premise is revealing and imaginative with a hint of greater things to come.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 29, 2017

Ryke wants nothing more than to escape the space pirates of the Gloria Furore and go home to his young son. He’s pretended to share their views and has worked his way up the ranks to co-pilot of the Armada Seven, commanded by the most vicious space captain of all. The capture of Princess Anguissa and her ship, the Archangel, is a moment of triumph for his superior—except that Anguissa never plays by anyone’s rules. In a flash of dragon fire, she incinerates most of the crew and takes command of the Armada Seven. Ryke is spared, but he’s not sure why—what plans does the beautiful dragon princess have for his future? And what will she demand to grant his wish of returning home?

•••••••••••

REVIEW: WYVERN’S OUTLAW is the fourth full-length instalment in Deborah Cooke’s adult THE DRAGON OF INCENDIUM sci-fi, paranormal/fantasy series focusing on the twelve royal princesses of Incendium. This is princess Anguissa, and Ryke’s story line. WYVERN’S OUTLAW can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Ryke and Anguissa) WYVERN’S OUTLAW follows the building but forbidden relationship between Ryke of the planet Centurios, and dragon shifter Princess Anguissa of the planet Incendium, two species who have long considered one another repellent and disgusting-dragons are abominations; and the umbros of Centurios are capable of destroying much more than the body, but the mind and the soul. To save her crew and the volatile cargo they carry in the hold Anguissa sacrifices herself to the captain, of the spaceship the Gloria Furore, but in doing so will meet her future and the Carrier of the Seed. Enter the Armada Seven and Gloria Furore reluctant co-pilot Lieutenant Ryke, and the man with whom Anguissa will fall in love. What ensues is the back and forth voyage of discovery that reveals there is more to Ryke than meets the eye.

Lieutenant Ryke is an outlaw; a captive of the Armada Seven. Six long years held prisoner pretending to agree with his captain’s views our hero has planned and prepared for his eventual escape, an escape that now includes the woman that strangely but quickly calls to his heart. Princess Anguissa never expected to find the ‘Carrier of the Seed, and makes quick work of seducing the man she believes is not, and never will be, her ‘HeartKeeper’ or her happily ever after. On the run and heading back to Centurios, Ryke and Anguissa will ‘share’ memories of the past that bring our couple closer together.

WYVERN’S OUTLAW is a detailed and enthusiastic story line involving space jumping, telepathy, dream walking, and shape shifting; a comprehensive and intricate tale of mortal enemies whose ‘futures’ are destined by nature and DNA. The premise is entertaining and intriguing; the characters are charismatic, colorful and energetic; the romance is fated, seductive and passionate.

REVIEW: WYVERN’S WARRIOR is the third full length installment in Deborah Cooke’s DRAGONS OF INCENDIUM adult, paranormal, sci-fi romance series focusing on the twelve royal princesses of Incendium. This is princess Thalina, and Acion’s story line. WYVERN’S WARRIOR can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order as the author adds a short story between each installment revealing some background information about the preceding story.

Told from several third person perspectives including Thalina and Acion, WYVERN’S WARRIOR follows princess Thalina as she believes she has found the ‘Carrier of the Seed’. When an unknown and unwelcome visitor arrives on the planet Incendium Thalina knows immediately he is the ‘Carrier of the Seed.’ But something is different about Acion, and if her suspicions are true, Acion will become the victim of an ancient law that will destroy the man with whom she is falling in love. ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 20, 2016

Engaged to the crown prince Urbanus of Regalia, Gemma knows that her fiancé was the one to try to arrange Drakina’s assassination. She intends to keep the betrothal and take vengeance upon Urbanus from inside his palace. She’s not counting on more dark revelations about her betrothed, much less his beguiling charm. Alone in Urbanus’ palace, Gemma can only rely upon herself to ensure her survival—or can she trust the mysterious stranger who pledges to aid her, for his own reasons?

••••••••

REVIEW: WYVERN’S PRINCE is the third installment but second full-length story line in Deborah Cooke’s adult DRAGONS OF INCENDIUM paranormal/fantasy romance novella series focusing on the twelve royal princesses of Incendium. This is princess Gemma’s story- a re-imagining of the Frog Prince with his beautiful dragon mate. WYVERN’S PRINCE can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order as the author adds a short story between each installment revealing some background information about the preceding story.

SOME BACKGROUND: For fans of Cooke’s previous series about dragons, THE DRAGONS OF INCENDIUM is NOT connected to, or a spinoff from, her best selling Dragonfire series. The current series focuses on female dragon shifters of Incendium searching for their ‘HeartKeeper’-their mate- and the ‘Carrier of the Seed’ but the princes of Regalia are not necessarily the male that calls to the princesses hearts. The world building reveals the political alliances and potential fall-out when two monarchies collide.

Told from several third person points of view WYVERN’S PRINCE follows Princess Gemma as she is about to reluctantly marry Prince Urbanus of Regalia but our heroine has other plans once the wedding has been consummated. Knowing that Urbanus is not the princess’s Heartkeeper, Gemma believes that once she conceives she will carry out her plans to destroy the man who had previously arranged to assassinate her sister, and killed her best friend. But Gemma’s plans fail when her betrothed casts a spell that forces our heroine to depend upon someone else for help. What ensues is a cross- country journey as Gemma struggles to regain her powers with the help of an unusual source.

We are introduced to Urbanus’s twin brother Venero, although for all intents and purposes he is believed to be missing or dead. It is Venero that will call to Princess Gemma’s heart and in doing so help heal them both along the way.

WYVERN’S PRINCE is a fairytale-esque story line with dragons and magic, building love, an evil queen who is not above destroying her family to get what she wants, and a little bit of science fiction added for some interesting color. The premise is imaginative and enchanting; the characters are dynamic and colorful; the romance is passionate and fated. WYVERN’S PRINCE is a well written, energetic and engaging story that sees another Princess find her Heartkeeper and her mate.

Nero's DreamNERO’ S DREAM
(Dragons of Incendium 1.5)
by Deborah Cooke
Genre: adult, paranormal, fantasy, romance

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO /

About the book: Release Date July 19, 2016

Nero has always aspired to be an astrologer in the royal court of Incendium. When he divines a portent about the pending royal marriage, he makes the perilous journey to the capital city, only to be kept from delivering his tidings in time. Worse, Nero is assigned the task of pursuing a dragon princess bent on taking vengeance upon her reluctant groom, a feat he knows can’t be done. His dream appears to be lost forever—until the captivating princess Peri surprises this unlikely advisor.

Nero’s Dream is a short story set in the same world as the Dragons of Incendium series of paranormal romances. It should be read after Wyvern’s Mate.

•••••••••

REVIEW: NERO’S DREAM is the second installment (and novella) in Deborah Cooke’s adult DRAGONS OF INCENDIUM paranormal/fantasy series focusing on the twelve dragon shifter princesses of Incendium. This is astrologer Nero’s story line.

SOME BACKGROUND: For fans of Cooke’s previous series about dragons, THE DRAGONS OF INCENDIUM is NOT connected to, or a spinoff from, her best selling Dragonfire series. The current series focuses on female dragon shifters searching for their ‘HeartKeeper’-their mate- and the ‘Carrier of the Seed’ but the princes of Regalia are not necessarily the male that calls to the princesses hearts. The world building reveals the political alliances and potential fall-out when two monarchies collide.

Told from third person perspective (Nero) NERO’S DREAM follows ‘independent’ astrologer Nero as he is tasked with revealing the truth about the message he has read in the stars. Nero is not a member of the Royal court astrologers, and has never been formally trained but our hero finds himself on a journey to forewarn the Royal family about the impending disaster forecasted by the stars. When Nero’s prophecies come to reality our hero is offered a position within the Royal court but not before Nero finds himself attracted to the youngest Princess Pericula or Peri. Perhaps there is romance building for Nero and Peri.

NERO’S DREAM is a short story that runs parallel to the events of book one-Wyvern’s Mate-revealing some of the background information not previously explored in the story. I recommend reading the series in order as each subsequent novella and short story builds upon the events of the previous book or runs parallel to the current time line.

Deborah Cooke’s world building is colorful as the author pulls the reader into the fantastic; the imaginative journey between planets borders on the sci-fi; the romance is sweet and fated. We learn a little bit more about the politics of Incendium, the power of a dragon when spurned by a potential mate.

••••••••••

REVIEW: WYVERN’S MATE is the first installment in Deborah Cooke’s adult THE DRAGONS OF INCENDIUM romantic, fantasy series focusing on the twelve dragon shifter princesses of Incendium. This is eldest sister Drakina, and Mindbender Troy’s story line-a fated romance where Troy is expected to assassinate the royal princess.

Told from dual third person perspectives WYVERN’S MATE introduces some of the characters, the history and the tepid truce between the planets of Incendium, and Regalia, and the royal decree whereby the twelve dragon princesses of Incendium will be betrothed to the twelve gifted princes of Regalia. When things don’t go according to plans, Drakina finds herself ordered to Earth where she will find the ‘Carrier of the Seed’-the one male able to fertilize the dragon’s egg that she carries so that she is able to birth the next generation of royal dragons. What ensues is a building relationship between Drakina and Troy- a relationship that could very well end Drakina’s life.

For fans of Cooke’s previous series about dragons, THE DRAGONS OF INCENDIUM is NOT connected to, or a spinoff from, her best selling Dragonfire series. The current series focuses on female dragon shifters searching for their ‘HeartKeeper’-their mate- but the princes of Regalia are not necessarily the male that calls to the princesses hearts. The world building reveals the potential doom and fallout if no royal heir is to be conceived, and the possible destruction of two planets pulled into the heat of their sun.

WYVERN’S MATE is a quick read; a fast paced novella length story of romance and love; duty and honor; magic and dragons. The character building is limited-I would have preferred more background information about Drakina, and Troy-especially as it concerned Troy’s time imprisoned at Xanto-the who, what and why. The premise is entertaining-almost science fiction is its presentation; the characters are colorful and animated; the romance is a quick build to a happily ever after. A wonderful start to a new series.
