Pepper Hannigan is determined to keep any romance off the table—and out of her bedroom—while her daughter Juno is still young. Not to her or her little girl, even if this hero could melt any woman’s resolve.

Augustus “Auggie” Hero can’t deny his attraction to beautiful, warm-hearted Pepper or how much he wants to make a home with her and her little girl, but Pepper’s mixed signals have kept him away. That is, until Juno decides to play matchmaker. Her efforts finally bring Pepper into his arms, but they expose the danger Pepper is in. To protect Pepper and Juno, Auggie will have to live up to his last name and prove happy endings aren’t just for fairy tales.

REVIEW:DREAM KEEPER is the fourth instalment in Kristen Ashley’s contemporary, adult DREAM TEAM erotic, romantic suspense series focusing on a group of exotic dancers and friend who call themselves the ‘Dream Team’. This is twenty-seven single mother/dancer Pepper Hannigan, and thirty-four year old, former US soldier turned commando Augustus ‘Auggie’ Hero’s story line. DREAM KEEPER can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion I recommend reading the series in order. DREAM KEEPER and the Dream Team series is a spin-off from the author’s Rock Chick, Chaos and Dream Man series. Several characters cross over or are mentioned from the aforementioned series.

Told from first person perspective (Pepper) and dual third person (Auggie and Juno) following several paths, DREAM KEEPER focuses on the building romance and relationship between twenty-seven single mother/dancer Pepper Hannigan, and thirty-four year old, former US soldier turned commando Augustus ‘Auggie’ Hero, and the awkwardly dysfunctional families from whom both Pepper and Auggie were raised. Pepper Hannigan is a single mother to eight year old Juno, and in this, Juno’s happiness and safety have always come first but when Augustus Hero steps up his seduction and desire for our story line heroine, Pepper’s on again/off again attitude pushes Auggie out of her life unknowingly upsetting her daughter in the process. Juno is a precocious eight year old child who is desperate to reunite her mother with Auggie, and in this, works behind the scenes in an effort to push the couple together.

Meanwhile, Auggie’s past aka his mother and father’s relationship continues to implode pushing their drama up front and center in his relationship with Pepper but Pepper’s extended family drama is threatening the lives of the people he loves. Auggie, along with his team of commandos, begins an investigation of their own, not liking what they discover and how it will affect Pepper going foward. What ensues is the friends to lovers, rebuilding relationship, and romance between Auggie and Pepper, as our couple must navigate the fall-out and blow out of the Hero family histrionics, and the Hannigan family spiral out of control.

Pepper Hannigan’s life has not always been easy but Pepper refuses to expose Juno to the life she once led, a life that is about to reveal an uglier truth. Auggie Hero doesn’t trust easily having watched his parent’s relationship crumble along with one of his own but something about Pepper calls to his heart, a heart that will force Auggie to walk with Pepper’s mixed messages.

The relationship between Auggie and Pepper has been building for several years as Auggie’s attraction to our heroine was immediate but Auggie knew Pepper was a single mother whose first choice would always be the love for her child, and in this Auggie bided his time before making a move. Pepper never wanted to hurt the man with whom she would fall in love but words said in anger pushed Auggie out of Pepper’s life, words directed at our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including Pepper’s eight year old daughter Juno; her ex Corbin Patrick, Pepper’s parents, and her siblings Saffron and Birch; Auggie’s parents Demetrios and Dana Hero; the Dream Team girls and their significant others: Lottie and Mo, Boone and Ryn, Axl and Hattie; their boss Ian, and his nephew Dorian; Cisco aka Brett Rappaport; office manager Elvira, and several members from the Chaos MC, fellow commandos including Billy and Marques, and the introduction of Lieutenant Stephanie Fortune.

DREAM KEEPER is a story of family and relationships-dysfunctional family dynamics, betrayal and obsession, power and control, secrets and lies. The character driven premise is fast paced, detailed, twisted, and tragic-like all Kristen Ashley’s storylines follows a similar path and history; the characters are spirited, edgy and inspiring; the romance is intimate and intense.

Auggie stood at the front of the church and watched her walk down the aisle. The bridesmaids’ dresses Lottie chose were very Lottie. Sleek. Sexy. Baring.
All the women looked great in them, but none of them looked better than Pepper.
And he thought that even before Pepper, as she strutted down the aisle, caught sight of her daughter, Juno, and shot her girl a huge smile.
Pepper Hannigan was gorgeous.
Anytime she was with her daughter?
Knockout.
They were the next in the line of Lottie’s matches. Auggie and Pepper.
Mo and Lottie were the obvious firsts (Mo was one of Aug’s four best buds), and Lottie earning the love of Mo had been all Lottie’s idea.
Mo never thought he’d find anyone as fantastic as Lots, would never go for it, until Lottie talked him around.
Now Mo was standing at the front of their line, waiting to make her his wife.
Once Lottie got her happy ending, she set about giving the same thing to Mo’s friends…fixing them up with her own crew.
And so far, she’d done a bang-up job.
Mag and Evie, the second couple, were living together and getting married.
Boone and Ryn, the third, were tight, and further, they were in business together.
Axl and Hattie, the fourth, were as good as living together, and practically inseparable. It was him and Pepper who were the holdouts.
This was not for lack of trying on Auggie’s part.
Once he’d met her, Auggie saw no reason not to go for it.
She was gorgeous. She was funny. She spoke her mind. She was laid back. Together. She didn’t seem to have any hang-ups.
But Pepper saw reason not to give it a shot because she had a kid.
He got it. She was being careful. Whatever had torn her and Juno’s dad apart had made her skittish.
So yeah.
He got it.
That didn’t mean it wasn’t torture.
Like right now, when her eyes caught his, the smile that she gave her kid still in them,
and Auggie felt that. He felt it.
Damn.
It wasn’t even aimed at him in any real way, and that residual love she’d targeted at her daughter was so big, it took forever to fade away.
He’d never felt that kind of love.
Not once in his life.
And he wanted it so bad, the backs of his teeth hurt with the need to taste it.
He lost her attention when she shifted to take her place at the front of the church and
Auggie tore his gaze away from her to watch the next woman, Hattie, march down the aisle. On its way, his gaze snagged on Juno.
Dark hair to her mom’s blonde, she was all dressed up, her hair curled —her mom was a bridesmaid in a big wedding with all the prep that entailed, but it was clear Juno had not been forgotten.
She was staring at her mother, beaming with pride.
Seeing that beam made Auggie want even more of what he’d never had. From the both of them.

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA. She nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn’t taken her first breath!).

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

REVIEW: DREAM SPINNER is the third instalment in Kristen Ashley’s contemporary, adult DREAM TEAM erotic, romance series focusing on a group of exotic dancers who call themselves the ‘Dream Team’. This is twenty-six year old dancer/ artist Hattie Yates, and thirty four year old, former soldier turned commando Axl Pantera’s story line. DREAM SPINNER and the Dream Team series is a spin-off from the author’s Rock Chick, Chaos and Dream Man series. DREAM SPINNER can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion I recommend reading the series in orders as there is an ongoing plotline throughout.

Told from first person perspective (Hattie) and third person (Axl) including a couple final chapters from Pepper and Lee, DREAM SPINNER follows the building romance and relationship between twenty-six year old dancer/ artist Hattie Yates, and thirty four year old, former soldier turned commando Axl Pantera. For months, Hattie Yates has refused all advances from our story line hero but someone has placed a target on our heroine’s back, and Axl is livid that she called in help from someone else. Taking control of the situation, Axl moves Hattie into his house, and resumes protection and guardianship of the woman that calls to his heart. Using all of the resources offered by Hawk and his team of commandos (a group of former US soldiers who now work domestic civilian contracts for Hawk Delgado), Axl and his friends must come to terms that sins of the past are threatening the women they love. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Axl and Hattie as our couple navigate the fall-out of dysfunctional family dynamics, and the threats to our story line heroine.

Meanwhile, Axl and Hattie have personal family issues that are about to implode. Axl Pantera knows the disappointment of rejection first hand as he struggles with the mess of his father’s misplaced affection. From his long-suffering mother to his father’s inability to see beyond the bottom line, Axl refuses to become what his father has always expected. Hattie Yates is in a co-dependant relationship with her father, a man uses his ill-health to control the only woman left in his life. Hattie’s mother left years before but our heroine refuses to sit back and watch her father destroy his life.

The relationship between Hattie and Axl began months before as Hattie continues to rebuke Axl’s advances believing herself not worthy of love or a happily ever after but as the threats to our heroine take on a more personal and sexual nature, Hattie slowly discovers that Axl is the man that calls to her heart. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense but once again, I struggle with the use of a certain four-letter word in my romance story line.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters including many from the author’s previous series. We welcome the return of Hawk Delgado, Augustus Auggie Hero; Mo and Lottie, Ryn and Boone, Mag and Evie; Elvira; the ‘Dream Team’ dancers, Pepper, and Ava; their boss Smithie, and security specialist and Smithie’s nephew Dorian; Mama Nana, and her security guard Jorge; and Cicso aka Brett Rappaport, as well as the introduction of both Hattie and Axl’s parents.

DREAM SPINNER is a story of family, friendships, relationships and love; a story of dysfunctional family dynamics, revelations and acceptance; romance and love. The premise is engaging, intriguing and captivating; the romance is seductive and steamy; the characters are broken but healing. DREAM SPINNER ends on happily ever after-for now, as the people threatening our story line heroine have yet to be revealed.

REVIEW: DREAM CHASER is the second instalment in Kristen Ashley’s contemporary, adult DREAM TEAM erotic, romantic suspense series focusing on a group of women, exotic dancers, who call themselves the Dream Team. This is exotic dancer Kathryn ‘ Ryn’ Jansen, and fixer / commando Boone Sadler’s story line. DREAM CHASER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as there is an on-going premise throughout. The DREAM TEAM series is a spin off from the author’s Rock Chick, Chaos and Dream Man series, and several characters cross-over for familiarity and cohesion.

NOTE: If you have not read book one DREAM MAKER there may be spoilers in my review.

Told from first person perspective (Ryn) and third person (Boone) following several different paths, DREAM CHASER follows in the weeks after the Dream Girls were abducted and subsequently rescued by the ‘commandos’, a group of former US soldiers who now worked domestic civilian contracts for Hawk Delgado, but in the months following the abduction, Ryn Jansen would find herself under the protection of commando Boone Sadler, a man she believes despises the ground upon which she walks. An invitation to a Dom/sub event finds sub Ryn Jansen facing her abductor, a man who is trying to prove that he is innocent of the accusations of killing a police officer, but a man who is also protective of our story line heroine. Another murder pulls Ryn into the spotlight as the commandos begin a search for a dirty cop, and Ryn becomes the target of betrayal and revenge. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Ryn and Boone, and the potential fall-out as the threats against our heroine increase, and Ryn struggles with Boone’s need to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love.

Meanwhile, Ryn’s dysfunctional family begins to implode as her brother Brian and his ex Angelica’s contentious relationship spills over into the lives of their children. As Ryn has been more of a mother to the children then their own parents, our heroine will be pushed from their lives when she refuses to continue to enable her alcoholic brother, and the mother he once loved.

Ryn Jansen wants to flip houses but two steps forward always results in one step back every time Brian or Angelica call looking for money or help. As a ‘sub’ in the BDSM life, Ryn is hoping to find someone who will give in to her needs but Ryn hasn’t had much luck when it comes to Doms or love. An independent and feisty heroine, Ryn is pulled in too many directions including falling for a man who may or may not be falling for her. Boone Sadler is a former US soldier, now working as a commando for Hawk Delgado, and a Dom in the BDSM lifestyle. Boone is not currently looking for a sub but finds a willing participant in Ryn Jansen, a woman who stirs something deep within our story line hero. The $ex scenes are intimate and erotic but I dislike the use of a certain four-letter word, often used for shock value more than anything else. The BDSM, Dom/sub premise is prevalent throughout the story but moderate to minimal in content and form, limited to a few light scenes, and not at all kinky or carnal.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar, secondary and supporting characters including Hawk Delgado, Augustus Auggie Hero, Chaos MC members Joker and Hound; Mo and Lottie, Mag and Evie; Elvira, Axl, the Rock Chicks; the ‘Dream Team’ dancers, Pepper, Ava and Hattie; their boss Smithie, and security specialist and Smithie’s nephew Dorian; Mama Nana, and her security guard Jorge; and Cicso aka Brett Rappaport. We are introduced to Ryn’s mother, brother Brian, his ex Angelica, and their children Jethro and Portia, and Angelica’s mother Brenda; Boone’s parents Anne-Marie and Porter; Domme Corinne Morton; detectives Mueller and Bogart. Hattie and Axl’s story line is next in DREAM SPINNER.

DREAM CHASER is a story of family, relationships, betrayal and love. The premise is heart breaking and emotional; the romance is seductive and captivating; the characters are energetic, strong and charismatic.

ABOUT THE BOOK: RElease Date May 26, 2020

Evie is a bonafide nerd and a hyper-intelligent chick who has worked her whole life to get what she wants. Growing up, she had no support from her family and has only ever been able to rely on herself. So when Evie decides she wants to earn her engineering degree, she realizes she needs to take an alternative path to get there. She takes a job dancing at Smithie’s club thinking this would be a quick side gig, where she can make the money she needs. But with her lack of dancing skills and an alpha bad boy who becomes overly protective, Evie realizes this might not be as easy as she thought.

Daniel “Mag” Magnusson knows a thing or two about pain, but the mask he wears is excellent. No one can tell that this good-looking, quick-witted, and roguish guy has deep-seated issues. Mag puts on a funny-guy routine so he can hide his broken heart and PTSD. But when Evie dances her way into Mag’s life, he realizes that he needs to come face-to-face with the demons of his past if he wants a future with her.

•••••••

REVIEW:DREAM MAKER is the first instalment in Kristen Ashley’s contemporary, adult DREAM TEAM erotic, romance series. This is twenty-seven year old, exotic dancer/IT specialist Evan ‘Evie’ Gardiner, and thirty four year old, fixer Daniel “Mag” Magnusson’s story line. DREAM MAKER and the Dream Team series is a spin-off from the author’s Rock Chick, Chaos and Dream Man series.

Told from first person perspective (Evie) and third person (Daniel) DREAM MAKER follows in the aftermath of a blind date between Evie and Daniel that went all to h*ll. Evie’s brother Mick is in jail, once again, and has called in another favor from our story line heroine but said favor was about to put Evie in the direct line of fire forcing Daniel to claim Evie as his own, pulling her into a lifestyle she knew nothing about. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Evie and Daniel, and the potential fall-out as Mick’s involvement with the seedier side of the Denver underbelly places Evie and Daniel at risk, along with Evie’s friends and fellow dancers at Smithie’s club.

Evie Gardiner’s family is the poster family for troubled and dysfunctional, and the deeper Evie is pulled into Mick’s life, the more at risk our heroine becomes but Mick isn’t the only family member placing Evie at risk as the apples don’t fall far from the proverbial trees. Working two jobs in an effort help pay for future college tuition, Evie struggles with her family and their negative impact on all of her relationships.

Daniel ‘Mag’ Magnusson is a retired US army soldier, and struggles with PTSD, and issues of rage and anger having witnessed atrocities no one should ever have seen. Meeting Evie Gardiner gives Daniel hope for the future but Evie’s inability to say no to her family places everyone at risk including our story line hero.

The relationship between Evie and Daniel begins acrimoniously as Evie believes she isn’t worthy of love or affection. Their first date quickly spirals out of control, and soon thereafter, Daniel calls in his friends and co-workers, including members of the Chaos MC, and the Rock Chicks, for help and support. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and erotic but I struggle with the use of a certain four-letter word in my romance story lines.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar, secondary and supporting characters including Hawk, Auggie, Chaos MC member Kane ‘Tack ‘Allen; Mo, Elvira, Tex, Duke, Lottie, Axl, Boone, the Rock Chicks and their significant others; as well as Evie’s mother and father, and her step dad Rob; brother Mick; the ‘Dream Team’ dancers Ryn, Pepper, Ava; Lottie, and their boss Smithie; and Cicso aka Brett. The Rock Chicks reputation and life stories precedes their introduction to Evie’s fellow dancer,s and in this, Smithie’s girls want to be recognized for themselves, thusly calling the group the Dream Team. Ryn’s story is next in Dream Chaser.

DREAM MAKER is a story of family, friendship, betrayal and revenge. A story of a dysfunctional family unit who believe our heroine is expendable, using Evan Gardiner as their personal emotional punching bag. The premise is captivating and enjoyable; the characters are energetic and charismatic; the romance is seductive and intense-prepare for a case of insta-lust for Daniel ‘Mag’ Magnusson, and the use of baby and honey at every opportunity; and for fans of Kristen Ashley, a familiar formula as the heroine is kidnapped on more than one occasion.
