ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 15, 2023

I’m a monster.
I kidnapped the wrong girl, and under excruciating circumstances, we fell in love.
I took every beating and form of torture meant for her.
For months I protected Everleigh, only to lose her when we finally escaped.

It’s been years, and the ghost of Everleigh Adams still haunts me.
The nightmare of losing the only woman I’ll ever love has driven me to insanity.
And then I start to see her everywhere.
Her ghost has left my nightmares to taunt me in my waking life.

Turns out Everleigh never died, and she’s kept a secret from me.
When we come face-to-face after four years of pure hell and agony of living without her, she’s still out of my reach.
But if insanity has taught me one thing – there are no rules.
I’ll take what’s mine. There’s nowhere Everleigh can run to escape me.

REVIEW: Possess Me is book five in the Corrupted Royals series by Michelle Heard.

This book can be read as a stand alone book. Spoiler Alert Ahead!!!

Everleigh Adams is eighteen years old and travelling the world. This was a trip she was supposed to be on with her parents. Russia, Scotland then Hawaii. But her parents passed away almost a year ago so she decided to take the trip alone. While in Russia she makes a devastating decision and she swaps clothes with a beautiful, young woman at a nightclub. Thinking that she is doing this young woman a favor, she soon realizes that this decision can cost her everything, including her life.

As she was leaving the club she is kidnapped by Alek & Vincent Aslanhov. These men believe her to be the young Russian debutant, Svetlana Ivanov, and why wouldn’t they – she is wearing her clothes. While trying to explain to her kidnappers that she isn’t who they think she is, they are all in turn kidnapped themselves. Alek and Vincent have taken the wrong girl and are now in the clutches of the enemy. In what seems like an indescribable turn of events, Alek and Everleigh are forced together into a cell for several months. As time goes on Everleigh tells a lie to her captors that her and Alek are dating. In an attempt to save herself from certain death.
But that backfires on her and soon Alek is taking all of the physical, mental and emotional abuse that is meant for her. When they are finally rescued Alek’s father sees Everleigh as a liability and decides to get rid of her, for Aleks sake.

Alek’s world become pure agony, as he tries to navigate the world without the one woman he loves with him. He directs his anger at his father who thought he was doing Alek a favor by getting rid of Everleigh. Alek goes on to St. Monarchs to complete his training, while Everleigh moves to LA and raises her young son as a single mother. When Everleigh becomes friends with Rosalie Vetrov she has no idea her world in LA is about to be turned upside down.

After believing that Everleigh was killed by his father four years ago, Alek begins to think he is losing his mind when he starts to see Everleigh around LA. Little did he know when he walked into his bosses house that day that he would come face to face with the only woman he has ever loved. Thinking that Everleigh has been dead for the last four years and finding out that she was alive, was enough to send Alek off the deep end. But once he realizes that she is real and is still very much in love with him, and that he has a son – his entire world spins on its axis.

What an amazing ending to the Corrupted Royals series this was.

Rounding out everyone’s story – Alek’s is the final missing puzzle piece. And what an emotional journey it was. I absolutely loved everything about Alek and Everleigh’s characters. And the fact that they had a son that Alek knew nothing about until four years later was gut wrenching. Read this book in one sitting and what a delicious read it is.

I am sad to see this is the ending to the Corrupted Royals series but it has proven to me hat even if you don’t think you would enjoy a certain genre, you should give it a try at least. I never would of imagined falling in love with a mafia, bratva series the way that I have. Wonderfully written, but please heed the trigger warnings listed at the front of the book. Highly recommend!

REVIEW:Restrain Me is book four in the Corrupted Royals series by Michelle Heard.
Maxim Levin – 38 years old – he is the number one assassin in the world, and he has been asked by his best friend to do a favor for him. He has been asked to be a bodyguard for one Camille Dubois. Camille Dubois – 27-year-old socialite whose father is about to become the next Prime Minister of France.

Max usually doesn’t take on jobs as a bodyguard, but as soon as he heard who his charge was. You see Max has only one regret in his long career as the world’s best assassin – and that is 10 years ago he shot and innocent girl by mistake. That girl would turn out to be Camille. Max takes the job, knowing that the only way he can ever repay her for his mistake is to make sure no harm comes to her.

Camille is not your normal socialite. While she does all that is asked of her in making appearances and such, she just doesn’t like it much.
She is more of a stay at home and hang out on the couch kind of girl. And she has lived a pretty amazing life up until now. Her father just introduced her to Max Levin, and everything about this man intimidates her. He is cold, quiet and looks every bit as deadly as he is.

And her life will be turned upside down when her father tells her someone is trying to kill her, that is why they need Max to protect her. Her quiet life of retreating to her penthouse to eat snacks and watch tv in solitude is over. When Max is hired to stay with her 24/7 until the threat against her life is over. Camille doesn’t do well with placing another person in her personal space, let alone someone that acts like he has never been around normal people before. But slowly as Max begins to open up to her, she starts to see who he really is. And she begins to have feelings for him. Ones that she never imagines would be reciprocated. But the more time Max spends with Cami, the more he begins to fall for her. And while he knows this is just a job, he can’t help but love the person that she is.

When a threat becomes real against her in her penthouse, Max takes her away to one of his safe houses. A cabin in the remote Foret d’Orient nature reserve. There they form a relationship of mutual respect and love. And it is simply amazing to watch Max open up and allow someone into his heart. But the more they fall for each other Max knows he must tell Cami the truth – that he is the one that shot her so many years ago.

Will she still love him after? He has no way of knowing how she react to the news.

Truly enjoy this book which can be read as a stand alone but why would you when the entire series is absolutely delicious in every way. Michelle Heard’s world of the underground is an absolute must read. Highly recommend.

–>Please be mindful of the Author’s Note at the beginning, as this book is for mature audiences and does contain triggering content.

ABOUT THE BOOK: March 23, 2023

Home. It’s the one thing I want more than anything. A husband I can love. Children I can give the world to. A house I can call my own. To many, it’s a stupid wish, but to me, it’s everything.

When my adoptive father demands that I marry one of his business partners, Karlin Makarova, my dream becomes nothing more than that – a dream. Karlin is a vile monster, a nightmare for any woman he crosses paths with.

I dread the time I have to spend alone with Karlin and hide the bruises that fill me with deep shame.

But then my beloved brother steps in and arranges a marriage with one of his best friends.

Armani DeSantis is known to be coolheaded, aloof, and calculative. Sure, he’s heartbreakingly attractive – emphasis on heartbreakingly – but it’s clear he sees me as his friend’s little sister that’s become his problem.

Then again, I’d rather have my heart broken by Armani DeSantis than be Karlin Makarova’s punching bag.

And so, my dream of a happily ever after turns into a cold-blooded war between the two men, and I find myself praying that somehow I’ll survive.

But life has taught me prayers are never answered.

REVIEW: Brutalize Me is a stand alone book in the Corrupted Royals series by Michelle Heard.

Tiana Petrov is a twenty one year old Bratva princess. But she isn’t like the other princesses in their world. She is the sister of Bratva enforcer Misha Petrov. Her brother has fiercely protected her ever since their days in an orphanage. And even though she is twenty one she is completely innocent to world around her. Misha continues to protect Tiana til this day. But, with Misha getting married he relies on his best friend and Mafia Enforcer Armani De Santis to keep an eye on his sister while he is on his honeymoon.

Unfortunately, while Misha is away their adoptive father has secured and arranged marriage for Tiana, to Karlin Makarova.

Makarova is an arms dealer and enemy of the Bratva. But her future husband doesn’t even want her, he only wants what the marriage brings for him. And from the moment he is alone with Tiana, she becomes his punching bag. Tiana tries to wait until her brother returns from his honeymoon, but the abuse gets so bad she has no choice but to run and call Armani for help. What Tiana doesn’t know is that she has already been promised in marriage to Armani by her brother. And Armani intends to keep that promise.

What ensues is a beautiful chaos. Misha finding out some one has abused his sister, Armani fighting to prove his place in the mafia and secure his marriage to Tiana. But none of it goes smoothly.

The only thing Tiana ever wanted was to be married to man that could love her, give her a home she could call her own, and one day children. Will Tiana get everything she ever wanted?

Will Armani be able to secure their marriage?

Tiana is pure innocence in this criminal world. She has soent her time with her adoptive mother learning how to be a good wife. But when she is promised to a monster she decides to run. She has no choice but to call her brothers best friend Armani for help. She wishes she was promised to a man like Armani. While she knows he is deep in the mafia, he doesn’t treat her like the man she is promised to. He is kind, gentle and bery protective.

Armani De Santis made a promise to Misha when stuff went down previously that he would marry Tiana and take care of her. Sight unseen. But the moment he meets Tiana he has every intention of fullfilling his promise! And he will stop at nothing to get what he wants!

This book is book three in the Corrupted Royals series. It can be read as a stand alone. But this entire series and world deserves to be explored. I love the cross overs with Michelle Heards other series without some of the repetitiveness of other crossovers. Such a wonderful built world with each book becoming a return home when they visit places from previous books. An amazing world that continues to expand with every book!

Highly recommend! Please be aware to the trigger warning at the beginning of the book.

Control Me (Corrupted Royals 2) by Michelle Heard-review tour

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date February 6, 2023

I wanted to be a painter. But that’s just a dream because a mafia princess doesn’t get to choose her future.
Still, I never let it get me down. I always try to make the best of everything.

Until I’m forced to go for brutal training, and I meet Nikolai Vetrov.
Forbidden and way too attractive, the man turns out to be my worst nightmare incarnated.
He’s cold and ruthless, and I’m pretty sure there’s no heart to be found in his chest, unlike mine that won’t stop beating overtime at the mere sight of him.

Just because I flirted with him, he’s dead set on making my life as miserable as possible.
And as if the hell I’ve been thrown into isn’t enough, the worst thing possible happens to me. It strips me of my light and drops me into a darkness so suffocating there’s no way for me to escape
There’s a lot I can endure and overcome, but the trauma and Nikolai Vetrov are two things I can’t handle. One of them is bound to be the end of me.

Unless a miracle happens, and let’s face it, I’m well past the point of believing in miracles.

REVIEW: Control Me is book two in the Corrupted Royals series by Michelle Heard.

Abigail Sartori is a mafia princess. She has spent the last several months at St. Monarchs – a school on neutral territory for the sons and daughters of the worlds underbelly.
This isn’t a finishing school or a vacation resort for the rich elite, this is a school that makes and teaches assassins, protectors and mafia princesses how to take care of themselves.

This hasn’t been a walk in the park for Abigail, in fact her mouth and endless flirtations tend to get her into a little bit of trouble. Abigail is absolutely hilarious and her attitude is simply amazing. She is all about having a good time. That is until she meets her combat instructor Nikolai Vetrov Nikolai is a member of the Bratva and also the Blood Diamond King. He is also the sworn enemy of her father. He is at St. Monarch’s to help out until they find a new combat instructor. But one thing he can’t tolerate is mafia princesses who have no idea how to even begin to take care of themselves.

Abigail came along and got right under his skin. She is clueless as to how to protect herself. The more she gets on his nerves the more he wants to get to know her. But there is one issue – she is is eighteen years younger than him. To her age is just a number and Nikolai is the walking embodiment of everything she is looking for in a man.
Nikolai slowly becomes very protective of Abigail from afar. Slowly Abigail starts wearing on Nikolai and things begin to heat up. That is until the ultimate unthinkable happens. Nikolai doesn’t know how to help Abigail, and Abigail doesn’t want his help. Their relationship is either going to grow or come to an end. But Nikolai isn’t about to let that happen.

This book grabbed my attention like no other Michelle Heard book. I was an emotional wreck the entire second half of this book. I have never felt what this book brought out in me. And I am here for it. What an amazing, emotional, fantastic trip this book is. I wanted nothing more than for Abigail and Nikolai to find each other since the last book. And I was not disappointed. Completely moving and beautiful.

Please heed the trigger warnings at the beginning of this book because it is truly heavy. This book also takes you deeper into the world that the previous book – Destroy Me built. You find out more information and in depth reasonings that you didn’t see in the previous book. But what a wonderful ride this book is.

Highly recommend Michelle Heards entire Mafia series – never in my wildest dreams did I think I would find what I was looking for in a Mafia series.
But here it is…

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 9, 2023

Our first meeting was at a nightclub, and it was something straight out of my most romantic fantasies.

My ovaries exploded at the sight of the Russian God. And by God, I mean he was ripped, tall, dark, and deadly attractive. There were enough sparks between us to light up a city. Then an explosion blasted through the nightclub, and we got trapped together for three hours, sharing our most personal details… everything but our names.

Two years later, our second meeting is the complete opposite of the first. It’s clear Misha Petrov, a Russian enforcer for the bratva, despises me. The emotional night we shared meant nothing to him.

You see, my family is sworn enemies with the bratva and Italian mafia, which means Misha considers me a threat.I wish I could hate him the way he hates me. But nooo, my stupid heart wants what it wants.Every rough touch from Misha makes my skin tingle.Every low-rumbling threat growled through his clenched teeth has my breath speeding up.We might be sworn enemies, but I can’t stop myself from wanting this dangerous man.

Then there’s the other problem.

If I can, by some miracle, get Misha to fall in love with me, we’ll only have to face the entire Bratva and my family.

What could possibly go wrong?

REVIEW:Destroy Me is the first book in the Corrupted Royals series by Michelle Heard.
Aurora D’Angelo is eighteen years old. Her and her best friend Abbie Sartori are on “vacation” in Geneva, after spending time in an all girls school in Austria.
And by vacation they are supposed to be locked away at Abbie’s summer home. But they decide to sneak out and go to a local night club.
Being Mafia Princesses has it benefits.

While at the club, Aurora meets who she believes is the man of her dreams. Her
Misha Petrov…
Misha is twenty-two and at the club blowing off steam with his two friends, Alek and Armani. All three of them are enforcers for the Bratva.
They are in Geneva about to attend four years of training at St. Monarchs School. From the moment Misha enters the club he sees her.
He has no idea who she is and wants nothing more than to get to know her. His body all but demands it.

Just as they are getting to know one another, and Aurora about to receive her first kiss ever, a bomb explodes around them. The nightclub comes crashing down. .
While Misha did everything in his power to protect Aurora as the building crashed down around them, she was inevitably hurt.
While trapped beneath the rubble in a tight space, Misha does everything he can to keep Aurora alive.
it wasn’t until they were rescued that he was told the bomb was meant for him and his friends and that Aurora is the daughter of their sworn nemesis.

Misha does everything in his power to block Aurora from his mind, since she is his enemy. But Aurora is left lost without ever seeing her dark prince again or even knowing his name.
That is at least for two years.
After being in seclusion for two years, due to the threat of retaliation for the bomb that was meant for Misha and his friends.
Aurora and Abbie, now twenty-one, are sent to St. Monarchs school for training on how to protect themselves, since they are after all Mafia Princesses.
St. Monarchs is a neutral space where all types of underground sorts come and train together. No killing is allowed at St. Monarchs and
Aurora and Abbie think they are going to have an easy time of their stay there since they are after all Princesses.

But they soon find out things couldn’t be farther from the truth. Aurora sees Misha on the grounds of St. Monarchs, and while she is overwhelmed with emotions seeing the man that has occupied her every thought for the last two years. Misha doesn’t seem to feel quite the same.
When they first encounter each other – Misha makes it very clear that he is sad to see she survived the bombing. And will not make the same mistake of letting her live again if given the opportunity. Aurora finally learns his name – Misha Petrov and he is bratva – her families sworn enemies.

Life at St. Monarchs just took an interesting turn. Aurora feels whiplash from the mixed signals she is getting from Misha.
One moment he has the look of death in his eyes when he looks at her and the next he is watching her longingly.
They both know that in their worlds, they can never be together,
But the attraction and connection they feel for one another is something neither of them bargained for.

In a wild ride of attraction and seduction this book takes you exactly where you are forbidden to go.
And I am there for it every step of the way.
The characters are young and fresh and bring a new perspective to Michelle Heards Mafia romance.
I love how the characters intersect with previous book characters and how the world just continues to build around me.
There is a darker depth to the bratva characters that make you want to get to know each of them more – and while you should hate them – you just can’t. And I can’t wait to see where this book world takes them.
There are quite a few trigger warnings on this book, and I recommend definitely not overlooking them before you start.
With that being said I have a feeling this new series will be as amazingly written and wonderful as all the past ones.
I never imagined I would find myself in love with Mafia romance books – just not my genre or in my wheel house. But I am here for it and I love every page of it.
Highly recommend.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 19, 2022

Over the past four decades, the dome over our Ecocity has protected us from the deviants living in the forbidden territory. Since the great war ended, our lives have consisted of virtue and order.

Once a year, seven people are sent out to the forbidden lands to see if there are any deviants worth saving. None have returned, only increasing people’s fear of what lies beyond the safe border of the dome.

When I’m chosen as a crusader, the world, as I know it, is ripped from under my feet. In the forbidden territory, I learn things I never dreamed existed – a world I’ve been totally oblivious to. I meet people who freely show emotion and affection. People who dare make their own choices.

It’s frightening and the opposite of everything I’ve ever known.

Suddenly, I have to fight for my life. I’m thrown into chaos where time is running out to become a skilled fighter who will be an asset for the coming war. But my mind’s bombarded with questions – who’s right and who’s wrong? Which side should I fight on?
I don’t belong in this world filled with cruelty and depravity.

Then there’s Chance, my reluctant trainer. The man is the definition of deadly and so attractive I struggle to think straight around him. I’m also pretty sure he would love nothing more than to snap my neck. Cruel, impatient, and harsh, he’s a brute who seems annoyed by my existence.

Honestly, I’m not sure I will survive living with the deviants, never mind fighting in a war. Unless I find my courage and learn to fight for myself, I fear this new world will crush me.

REVIEW: Sweetest Awareness is book two in the dystopian romance series by M.A. Heard.

Book one left us on the edge of our seats with an amazing cliff-hanger.

This book continues the story of Chance Daniels and Jasper “Jai” Matthias.

In book one Jai was cast out into the forbidden territory where she met Chance. Chance became the one person she could trust and the one person that protected her. This story continues with Jai and Chance entering the main ward. Their purpose of going there was to continue their training for war. But the war comes to them. The ward falls under attack by the insensates (a person who has been genetically modified not to feel any emotions and obey the commands of the emissaries) sent to kill them all. The loss and devastation of the attack is too much for Jai to handle and she decides to leave the ward and the love of her life, to return to the ecocity and take down the emissaries. This is the only way she knows that she can protect the ones she has come to love within her ward. On her way back to the ecocity she realizes her ally Kenzo has followed her. There is no way Kenzo will allow her to take on the ecocity by herself. They enter the ecocity under the darkness of night and head straight to Jai’s old house. After a quick shower and change of clothes she soon realizes that Chance and all she has come to care for has followed them and they decide that this is the time to take on the emissaries. To declare war.

Jai heads straight to the lab where her father works creating the insensates, she hopes to kidnap him and take him with her back to the forbidden territory. And they seize the opportunity to take down the ecocity, They retrieve Jai’s father, who in turn shuts down all the insensates. After that they decide to take on the emissaries. Once the war is over, they all must decide how to rebuild the ecocity as they know it. No longer will there be the virtuous and the deviants. They must come together to create a new world, a better world. One where women have a voice and say.
One where they can all live in harmony. Will they be able to rebuild their lives in a new world?
I loved how quickly this story progressed. I could not put it down.

I had to know if they were able to defeat the emissaries and bring about a one nation of those who remain. The bonds of friendship ran deep in this book, making me truly care for the characters. The book ended too quickly, I wasn’t ready to leave. I hope somewhere down the line there will be more books in this dystopian world. Wonderful storytelling and world building. Highly recommend it.

REVIEW: Cruelest Oblivion is the first book in the new adult dystopian romance series by Michelle Heard writing as M.A. Heard.

Jasper “Jai” Matthias was born and raised in a domed ecocity (an isolated city built after wars ended) and knows nothing about the outside world. She has spent her almost 20 years of life adhering to the rules that were brought forth by the emissaries- leaders and founding fathers of the ecocity. Spending her days honoring those rules and being virtuous as she is supposed to be. She knows that turning 20 means one of two things. She will either get married, which is highly unlikely or become a bearer, which means she will spend her days bearing children to all of the men of the dome to further the race in the ecosystem.

There was one other option she wasn’t counting on. On the seventh day of the seventh month, seven people are collected by the emissaries and are named crusaders.

I would never pick a dystopian book – just not in my reading genre. But I am a huge fan of Michelle Heard and figured why not give it a try. I read and finished this book in one sitting. And I can not wait to see where this story leads. The second book is due out at the end of November 2022 and I am there for it. There is a trigger warning and an 18 and up advisory on this book. But I highly recommend.

REVIEW:Captured By A Sinner is book five in The Sinners Series by Michelle Heard. This is the book I had been waiting for.

Viktor Vetrov is twenty-five years old and the leader for the Russian Bratva Mafia. He is also a part of The Priesthood – a group of Mafia heads that are the convocation of the nation’s priesthood of organized crime.Viktor has agreed to help Nikolas Stathoulis take down the Sicilians that are invading his territory. When they invade the Sicilians property Viktor is caught off guard when he finds the granddaughter of the man they are there to kill in her bedroom. Seventeen-year-old Rosalie. Her entire family has just been wiped out for their business practices,Instead of killing her, since they never harm the innocent, he decides to kidnap her until she can fend for herself. Rosalie is one week away from her eighteenth birthday when everything she knows is ripped from her. Viktor sees that she is clearly unable to take care of herself let alone fend for herself. So he decided that she can live with him until she is twenty-one. That gives him plenty of time to teach her how to take care of herself. But Rosalie wants nothing to do with him. He is part of the group of men that destroyed her life. Taken everything she held dear away from her. How will she survive living in this man’s home until she is twenty-one?

Rosalie was just about to turn eighteen when she lost everything she has ever known. Now she has been kidnapped and taken prisoner by none other than Viktor Vetrov. She has heard stories about him.He is ruthless and doesn’t care for anyone but himself. But once she realizes that Viktor isn’t going to hurt her, in fact he is trying to help her. She slowly starts to relax and enjoy her surroundings – at least until she is twenty-one.She understands that Viktor hasn’t hurt her, has only provided for her and has done everything to care for her. As she begins to see Viktor differently, she knows she cannot betray her family’s memory by falling for a man that was part of what took her family from her.

Viktor knows keeping Rosalie is for her own protection. He also knows it doesn’t look well to the outside world that he has kept this woman captive. But he has his reasons. He knows she would not be safe out in the real world by herself. He also knows when she turns twenty-one, he must release her. He begins to fall in love with this woman in his house, but he will not force himself upon her. He wants her to come to him willingly. The hardest thing he must do is let her go when she turns twenty- one like he promised her. But as soon as she is out in the world all hell breaks loose. Old scores come back and take their revenge on her. Not because of anything she has done, because of what her family before her has done. And once Rosalie finds out what her family was doing, she is rocked to her core. She should have stayed with the man that protected her, took care of her. The man she loves Viktor Vetrov. Her only hope is that Viktor finds her in time. Will Viktor be able to get to her in time, will he love her like she loves him?Only time will tell…

This was the story I was waiting for. Through all the other books you heard tell of Viktor keeping a young woman prisoner. But knowing Viktor you just know there is more to the story.
And this was it. Completely and totally recommend the whole series – even though this is a stand alone. You can’t pass up this delicious story highly recommend.
