Holiday checklist:
• Spend time with my family while staying at Happy Acres Orchard and recovering from life implosion #1.
• Getting my mojo back by working in the gift shop and our brand new venture, the CocoaBus.
• Resisting kisses from the handsome, mysterious, pain in the butt owner of the nearby Christmas tree farm.
New holiday checklist (last one went off the rails):
• Having good old-fashioned fun with my family while serving our many customers at the busiest time of the year.
• Regaining my confidence in marketing and working with the public, what I do best.
• Lots and lots of steamy no-strings holiday hijinks with the deliciously annoying man I can’t keep my hands off…and it’s not just because he has the finest tree—ahem, trees—around.
Final holiday checklist (you know the drill):
• Survive Christmas after life implosion #2 courtesy of the enigmatic man I couldn’t keep myself from falling for — or maybe, just maybe, find the way to save the holiday for both of us.

REVIEW: FIANCEE BY CHRISTMAS is the first in instalmen in Taryn Quinn’s contemporary, adult HAPPY ACRES erotic, romance series, a spin off /companion to the author’s Crescent Cove/Found In Oblivion/Lost in Oblivion series. This is billionaire tech whiz/Christmas tree farmer Clay Winslow, and former event planner Rachel Doyle’s story line. You do not have to have read the aforementioned series. Rachel is cousin Lila Crandall (Lost in Oblivion).
Told from dual first person perspectives (Rachel and Clay) FIANCEE BY CHRISTMAS follows the building romance and relationship between billionaire tech whiz/Christmas tree farmer Clay Winslow, and former event planner Rachel Doyle. Rachel Doyle’s life as an event planner imploded the day she had a panic attack, and the media were relentless and unforgiving. Working at her aunt’s ranch meant staying off the grid, taking time for herself but Rachel never expected to meet the new owner of the Christmas tree farm, a handsome man with secrets of his own. As Rachel sets a plan into motion to bring more people to the farm including a cocoa bus, Clay begins a slow seduction of the woman who is about to turn his world upside down. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Rachel and Clay, and the potential fall-out a Clay’s life back home to about to collide with his life at Happy Acres Orchard farms.
The relationship between Rachel and Clay is one of immediate attraction but Rachel is oblivious to Clay’s true identity. Clay bought the farm to escape his life in Manhattan never suspecting that Rachel was once the event planner to the elite of New York. As their relationship turns sexual, Clay must decided if Rachel is his happily ever after, or return home and marry a woman more suitable to his status. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of familiar secondary and supporting characters including members of the band Oblivion; Clay’s security specialist and former Special Forces solider Ransom Douglas, as well as socialite Helena Danbury, and Rachel’s sister Willow, Aunt Laverne and Uncle Fred. Ransom and Willow’s story is next in Bodybuard by Night.
FIANCEE BY CHRISTMAS is a story of family and relationships, friendships and love. The premise is engaging and heart warming; the romance is seductive and captivating; the characters are charismatic and fun.
