ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 19, 2016

Tempting Tristan is a stand-alone M/M romance featuring two sexy, lovable alpha heroes.

TRISTAN AND ALEX

Fresh off the heels of yet another bad relationship, Tristan Brewer is taking a break from men to try to figure out where he keeps going wrong. He knows his biggest fault—he leads with his heart, not his head—and that’s never going to change. But after several introspective weeks, he’s beginning to get a handle on things. That is, until badass heartthrob Alex Wells walks into his bar…

Alex has spent eight years in the army, months in a hospital bed, and far too long hiding his sexual identity. He’s guilt-ridden, damaged, pissed off, and up for a Silver Star for the incident that nearly cost him his life—and kept him from his grandmother’s funeral. But all he wants to do is live the life he’s always dreamed of and forget his stint with the institution that allows but doesn’t necessarily accept.

The chemistry between Tristan and Alex ignites from the moment they meet, and the more time they spend together, the hotter the flames burn. But the closer they become, the more Alex’s walls go up, and when the two walk onto a military base, Tristan finds out Alex’s physical scars aren’t the ones that run the deepest.

••••••••••

REVIEW: TEMPTING TRISTAN is the third installment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult HARBORSIDE NIGHTS erotic romance series- which in turn is part of Foster’s LOVE IN BLOOM series. TEMPTING TRISTAN is a M/M romance story line focusing on bartender Tristan Brewer, and US army vet/artist Alex Wells. TEMPTING TRISTAN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: TEMPTING TRISTAN contains graphic scenes of M/M sexual situations.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Tristan and Alex) TEMPTING TRISTAN follows the building relationship between bartender Tristan Brewer, and US army veteran Alex Wells. Alex’s appearance in Harborside following months of hospital recovery and rehab comes with the grief that he missed his beloved Grandmother’s funeral knowing that he will never get the chance to say good bye. Enter Tristan Brewer, the man his grandmother spoke of so highly, and the man that calls to Alex’s heart. What ensues is a romance that is threatened by the scars Alex carries both inside and out.

The relationship between our leading couple is very sexual; there is an insta-love quality between Tristan and Alex although Alex is reluctant to reveal the details of his two tours in the Middle East. Tristan is a man who has been burned by most of the men in his past but is willing to give Alex the benefit of the doubt and helps Alex accept the man that he has become. The $ex scenes are intimate, intense, erotic and provocative.

There is a large cast of secondary and supporting characters including Delilah and Ashley (Discovering Delilah #2) and Wyatt and Cassidy (Catching Cassidy #1). Tristan’s parents are accepting of their son’s lifestyle and the man that he loves but Alex has difficulty with the US Army’s history and the LBGQT community.

TEMPTING TRISTAN is a decadent story line without the interference of any outside conflict; an engaging and energetic tale about two man who fell in love when neither one expected. Alex’s struggle for acceptance in the military causes some disconcerting issues in his relationship with the man that he loves. The premise is encouraging and romantic; the characters are passionate and inspiring; the romance is seductive and heartwarming. Melissa Foster writes an emotional story about acceptance, recovery and love.

Tempting Tristan Teaser

excerpt

“Can I ask you something? You don’t have to answer.”Tristan shrugs. “Have at it.”

“Why were you taking a break? I get that your ex was a prick, but is there more to it?”

He looks down the street, across the street, and then his hand cruises through his hair as it has so often that I’ve already come to expect it when he’s nervous.

“Ian was a prick, but the rest is going to make me sound like a pussy,” he admits.

“I’ve only known you a day, and I already know nothing can make you sound like a pussy.”

He meets my gaze, and his jaw tightens. He lifts his chin and I recognize the struggle between feeling proud and worrying about looking weak. I fight that battle on a daily basis.

“I give away my heart too easily, and I end up getting hurt.”

His eyes never leave mine, and that trust, that confidence, is the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen.

“I was right. Nothing can make you sound like a pussy.” I slide my hand to the hard ridge of his jaw and lean in closer. “I’ve never given my heart away. That makes you braver than me.”

Discovering DelilahAmazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo

Description:
After the death of her parents on the day of her college graduation, Delilah Armstrong thought she could finally follow her heart and come out to her closest friends, but the guilt of going against her parents’ beliefs haunts her. The feelings she has for her best friend, Ashley, are stronger than anything she’s felt before, but Delilah has never even kissed a girl, and fear stops her at every turn.

Ashley Carver promised herself that she would never again date another girl who wasn’t out, but that was before she met intoxicatingly sweet and sexy Delilah.

When another girl offers to teach Delilah the ropes, it changes Delilah’s whole world and gives her the courage to go after the only girl she really wants. But coming out isn’t as easy as Delilah imagined, and moving past her parents’ death and the feelings of guilt she is left with is even harder. The intense passion between Ashley and Delilah is too strong to deny, but coming together means risking everything.

Discovering Delilah is an edgy, evocative, romantic story of friendship, family, and the courage to love.

Review:

Discovering Delilah by Melissa Foster is the 2nd book in her wonderful Harborside Nights series. In the first book in this series, Chasing Cassidy, I fell in love with all the characters that Melissa introduced to us, including Delilah, the heroine of this book. I could not wait for this book, even knowing that this would be my first F/F read. Melissa is one of the best in giving us romances that are filled with love. Discovering Delilah was so well done by Melissa Foster, as she has created a wonderful group of diversified characters that will make up this series, heartwarming romance, as well as fabulous family and friendships to surround them with.

Delilah Armstrong is the twin sister of the first book’s hero, Wyatt. We knew right away that Delilah was gay, though she had not faced coming out. On the day of her graduation, she confessed to her parents her sexuality preference, and felt their disapproval. A short time later, her parents were killed in a car crash, leaving Delilah with a double tragedy..losing her parents and the guilt of telling them the truth.

Ashley Carver met Delilah when they came to Rockwell Island to stay for the summer and run the bar their parents left them. Ashley became a good friend to Delilah, when she needed a friend. In Dee’s (Delilah) case, her private feelings for Ashley, were stronger than that, but she was afraid to approach Ashley, since she did not know if she was straight or not. While in therapy, Dee meets another girl, Jessa, who becomes a friend that sees through the anguish she is going through. It is Jessa, who is bisexual, that will help Dee face the truth and teach her how to be what she wants to be.

Without going into detail, what follows is a beautiful beginning of romance between two people who love each other. Ashley is the confident and strong one in their new relationship, as Dee fears letting anyone see her being with a “girl”. So they keep it private, with Ashley trying to be patient, as Delilah must deal with her insecurities, and anger toward her parents, which caused her to hide her true feelings all her teenage years. This was so well written, with a wonderful supporting cast of characters, and I loved Delilah and Ashley.

Discovering Delilah is a story of two people falling in love, but also about fears and anguish that they face, and must overcome; but the key is the love of family and friendship that surrounds them. Melissa Foster does a wonderful job of giving us a beautiful story that focuses on a subject that is still sensitive, but uses her trademark of wonderful romances filled with love. Discovering Delilah was a terrific read, and I recommend you to read this book.

Catching Cassidy by Melissa Foster – a Review

Catching Cassidy by Melissa Foster – a Review

Catching Cassidy

Amazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo

Description:
Wyatt Armstrong never imagined that instead of celebrating his college graduation, he and his twin sister would be dealing with the death of their parents.  Then again, Wyatt had never been one to think past tomorrow. He heads to their summer home in Harborside, Massachusetts, with his best friend Cassidy Lowell in tow, to deal with his parents’ death and to try to figure out his next step.

Six foot two, infuriatingly handsome, and flirtatious, Wyatt Armstrong has always been there for Cassidy, helping her pass her classes and fend off unwanted advances, while driving her insane with his one-night stands—but that’s what best friends are for, isn’t it? Having each other’s backs. There was never any doubt that she would accompany him to his family’s summer home—but she never expected to begin seeing Wyatt as more than a friend. Or has she been ignoring her feelings all along?

It’s impossible to ignore the sizzling heat between them as Wyatt and Cassidy get even closer, but Cassidy knows Wyatt’s past, and she has a real job to begin in the fall. Wyatt may be a sure thing for the summer, but Cassidy needs more. For the first time in his life, Wyatt is forced to look toward the future if he doesn’t want to lose the one woman who’s shared his past and owns his heart.

Review:

Catching Cassidy by Melissa Foster is the first book in her new Harbourside Nights series. I have always felt that Melissa Foster always gives us wonderful romance stories, with fabulous couples, great secondary characters and steamy sex. Catching Cassidy continues the trend that we have all come to expect from Melissa.

Wyatt Armstrong is our hero, and the story begins with him celebrating his college graduation, with his friends, and his twin sister, Delilah. He is anxiously awaiting the arrival of his best friend since childhood, Cassidy. When her boyfriend fails to show up to take her to the party, it is Wyatt with Dee (Delilah) who go to pick her up, and they end up having to console Cassidy when they find her boyfriend having sex with another girl. Of course, Wyatt loses it and punches out Cassidy’s boyfriend.

A short time later a tragedy will force changes in their lives, forcing them to grow up, learn to deal with their grief, their future, and discovering their true feelings. The three of them head to the family home in Harborside, Massachusetts, where Wyatt and Dee must deal with taking over the family owned bar on the seaside. Cassidy, who has been both of their friends for 17 years, also has to deal with a move to New York to take an accounting job, and to leave her lifelong friends. The focus of the story is Wyatt and Cassidy, who suddenly find themselves having feelings for each other beyond friendship. They both try to avoid those feelings, fearing to lose their friendship. Cassidy has watched her gorgeous hunk of a friend constantly becoming involved with girls, and secretly hid her feelings, not totally understanding why Wyatt doesn’t look at her other than as a friend.

While learning what is needed to keep up the bar, growing up and becoming independent, and spending the summer with friends, their friendship starts to suffer, with their feelings taking a different turn. Wyatt is afraid to take the next step, despite Cassidy’s willingness. He cannot lose her as a friend. But one night his jealousy causes him to lose control again, and he finally gives in to those feelings. We finally cheered when they succumbed to their lust. Just when things heat up and believe me they do get steamy, Cassidy is being pressured by her parents to take the job. Will Wyatt and Cassidy be able to keep this relationship if she moves to New York?

Dee is also trying to cope with the loss of her parents, just when she had told them the truth about her sexuality. Now she feels she has to face this secret alone, though Wyatt knows and tries to support her. As much as I loved Wyatt (his refusal to act on his feelings at first made me want to smack him), and Cassidy, I also thought Dee was a wonderful character, and I can’t wait to read her story in the next book of this series.

What follows is a wonderful story of love, friendship, family, and a fabulous cast of characters, who are their friends. There were so many emotional moments for each of them, as we felt thier turmoil, and it is always great to have those friends help them. Cassidy has her own issues with her family, who have always been distant, thereby her growing up much of the time with the Armstrong family. She always wanted to live in New York, but with her love for Wyatt, and discovering how much she enjoys her hobby of taking pictures, and possibly working with friends in a business that she would love, Cassidy is caught in the middle of a major decision. Will she fall to the pressure of her parents and leave Harbourside?

Melissa Foster has written a wonderful emotional and touching story, about friends to lovers, family and friendship that will pull on our heartstrings. If you love romance, great stories, wonderful characters, family, and steamy sex; Melissa Foster is one of the best. You will never go wrong reading anything by Melissa.
