ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date May 5, 2022.
They say misery loves company, but after losing the love of my life all I wanted was to be completely alone.
Having a young daughter made that impossible.
I couldn’t curl into myself.
I couldn’t spend hours in the dark living in regret.
I couldn’t end it all no matter how many times that thought crossed my mind.
Regretfully, I couldn’t go through life on my own.
I needed help, and although my teammates were there to lend a helping hand, I still needed more than they could offer.
Alyssa Dansby suffered more than any woman ever should.
She came to the Cerberus clubhouse to heal, working in the clubhouse’s nursery.
She was a godsend for my daughter Aria.
She was trouble for me.
I shouldn’t be thinking about the woman caring for my child so soon after my wife’s death.
We were both looking for our new normal.
I never imagined mine would include her.

REVIEW:HARLEY is the twenty-first instalment in Marie James’ contemporary, adult CERBERUS erotic, MC romance series focusing on the members of the Cerberus MC, all former US Marines. This is thirty one year old, single father Harley Cobreski, and twenty-three year old, day care worker Alyssa ‘Ali’ Dansby’s story line. HARLEY can be read as a stand alone but for back story I recommend reading LEGEND (Cerberus MC 19) wherein the fate of Harley’s wife is revealed.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Harley and Ali) HARLEY follows the building but acrimonious relationship between thirty one year old, single father Harley Cobreski, and twenty-three year old day care worker Alyssa Dansby. Months earlier, Alyssa Dansby was abducted into a $ex trafficking ring but her recovery and rescue by the Cerberus MC, and the horrific experience resulted in a shell of her former self. With an offer to work in the Cerberus MC day care, Ali finds herself attracted to a man whose demons continue to ride him hard. Harley Cobreski lost his wife in a motor vehicle accident, leaving Harley a single father with an infant daughter at home but Harley struggled to move on with his life, and Alyssa Dansby reminded Harley of everything he had lost. Unable to let go of the past, Harley battles between head and heart but in the process destroyed any possibility of a future with the woman with whom he would fall in love. What ensues is the tempestuous and rocky relationship between Harley and Ali, and the potential fall-out as Ali refuses to be a stand in for a woman who was never coming back.
Harley Cobreski has loved and lost, and battles every day not to join his wife. Meeting Ali threatens Harley’s need to remain connected to his late wife, pulling Harley into a spiral of guilt and grief. Ali Dansby knows that Harley is suffering but she refuses to be Harley’s proverbial punching bag because he is too stubborn to accept there is life after death. Everyone grieves and recovers at their own pace but Harley’s back and forth, up and down attitude with our story line heroine was threatening not only his recovery but Ali’s as well. Unable to compete with the ghost of his wife, Ali considers walking away but for the love a small child she loves as her own.
The relationship between Harley and Ali is one of immediate attraction but an unwanted attraction for our story line hero. Believing his need for Ali is dishonouring his late wife’s memory, Harley’s back and forth attitude and continuous mixed signals quickly push Ali out of his life. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of energetic and familiar secondary and supporting characters including many of the members of the Cerberus MC. We are introduced to Harley’s mother and his father Micah Cobreski, as well as newcomers Rick and Landon. Rick and Landon’s story line is next.
HARLEY is a story of grief and loss, struggle and acceptance, second chances and love. The premise is emotional and heart breaking; the characters are broken but recovering; the romance is captivating and seductive but struggles with the ghosts from the past.

Let’s see…where to begin…
I’m inching up on the BIG 4-0. The gray hairs are doubling what seems like daily, and the wrinkles and laugh lines are more pronounced than ever.
I have an amazing husband (Married just over 15 years.)
We have two boys we’re doing our best to raise as respectful gentleman.
I have a master’s degree in criminal justice which I used to work as a juvenile probation office until deciding to write full-time in June of 2019. So that means there’s usually always some criminal/law element to my novels.
If I’m not writing; I’m reading.
My favorite genres recently are bully/reverse harem and enemies to lovers. Maybe I’m reliving my traumatic teen years through the girls who actually end up with the boys. (Not that I would change my history since it’s gotten me exactly where I need to be!)
I love coffee. I miss carbs. Music is LIFE. I try not to be too serious.
