ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date May 28, 2024

Some days I can almost see the person I used to be. See the version of myself that felt joy, even passion. But she’s gone…just out of reach.

Life moves on for everyone else, though, and as my best friend’s maid-of-honor, I have a bachelorette party to plan—in Jamaica, no less. And that means working side by side with the best man: Benjamin Black.

Billionaire. Workaholic. Ultimate bachelor. The perfect catch for any woman—unless she’s lost her sense of self.

Apparently my body hasn’t gotten the memo. Because from the second we meet, something begins stirring, warming my blood.

And when our hands touch, it’s a heady reminder that even if I feel numb, my heart still beats.

He’s nothing like I thought. Every moment with him unshackles a little more of my fears, cracks another layer of ice.

But I should be afraid—and so should he. Because the past never lets go so easily.

Trigger Warning: My Heart Still Beats is a dark, emotional romance with a happy ending. However, the story includes elements that might not be suitable for all readers. Sexual assault, physical assault, rape, child molestation, suicidal thoughts, suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, PTSD, panic attacks, murder, and blood are shown in the novel. Readers who may be sensitive to these elements, please take note.

REVIEW:Check the triggers on this one folks. For readers that have anxiety/depression, this is not a book I would recommend reading unless you have your person ready and available to you. That being said, Helen Hardt introduces a new book in My Heart Still Beats; a lengthy, intense emotional journey about self growth and forgiveness. In one word, traumatic.

There is much to unpack in this book. The story and plot really focus on people’s connections, how to heal and find those people in your life that are meant to be in it, to help you even when you don’t know what you need, when connection is more important than touch. The author is more than amazing in this book and the connections she draws with her characters, even more so with Ben. He is so different at the end of the book than when his journey first starts.

The plot to the story (while hard for me to read) was easy to keep up with, even if it was heartbreaking, the family ties, the lies, the grief and of course the end, where love begins to heal all wounds. My Heart Still Beats is raw and emotional. As a long time reader and fan of this author, this new standalone book is one that absolutely broke my heart, healed it, and gave me a little hope back to humanity all in one sitting.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date February 27, 2024

Enter a world of mystery, suspense, sin, and heart-wrenching emotion with Helen Hardt’s new series!

They’re drawn into a world of seductive sin…

Savannah Gallo sacrificed herself to save her lover and is now imprisoned inside an opulent mansion belonging to a rival crime family. Despite the confining walls, her spirit remains unbroken. She’s nothing if not resilient, and she’s determined to use every ounce of her strength and cunning to outwit her captor.

In prison, Falcon Bellamy mastered the art of survival, and he refuses to surrender the woman he loves without a fight. After enlisting his ex-Navy SEAL friend, he goes after Savannah with precision and determination.

But Savannah’s captor is also determined. She must face some harsh truths about her family—secrets and betrayals more complex than she ever imagined that put both her and Falcon’s lives in danger.

REVIEW:Seductive Sin is book three in the Bellamy Brothers saga by Helen Hardt. As always, I recommend reading the series in order, but I do think there is enough backstory that each book can be read as a standalone, but this is the end of the three books, so I would strongly suggest reading the first two.

Seductive Sin picks up where book two left off, Falcon is anxious to get Savannah back, but it won’t be easy. There is a lot that has happened in the previous two books that have led up to what is happening in the current book, and because of that HH gives nothing away. Falcon is giving his all to get Savannah back, giving it his all and putting his heart on the line for her.

There is still a great level of suspense in the plot of the story, and this author is known for her romantic suspense and killer cliff hangers. Thankfully however, the series concludes with a nice little boy and an after thought of smile. For fans of this author, I think you enjoy the series and how it ends, overall, a very good read and would recommend it to others

Enjoyable for him? He’s already enjoying this. Whether I lie like a dead fish or fight him to the end, he’ll enjoy it. He’ll get off.
I flush the toilet and look in the mirror once more. My skin is pale, my hair is stringy, and the anxiety of the last several hours is imprinted deeply into my eyes.
I see myself as whoever is watching me sees me.
A pawn.
A weakling.
A mere thing.
I can’t escape. I made my choice.
I chose the wellbeing of Falcon over my own.
And as much as I hate what’s about to happen to me, I can’t bring myself to regret it.
I leave the bathroom, enter the bedroom—
Miles is there already, standing by the bed, naked, his hard cock jutting out and ready.
I swallow, forcing the food to remain in my stomach.
I lie on the bed, and he lifts my satin gown, hovers over me, his face menacing.
“Tonight you’re mine, Savannah Gallo. Welcome to hell.”

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 23, 2024

Once you fully submit, your darkest cravings will…Blossom

The ultra-luxe Black Rose Underground Club used to be Mary Sandusky’s favorite place to play. She was happy to slip into her role as seasoned submissive Blossom and relinquish control to an expert Dom. But when a scene gets out of hand, she can no longer trust her own dark appetites. She’s ready to walk away from Black Rose for good…until she meets a hot Highlander who pushes all the right buttons.

Nothing makes Ronan O’Connor’s blood heat more than commanding a submissive in a scene, but forming a relationship outside the club was an urge lost long ago. The closer people get, the more damage they can do. But when he meets the alluring Mary, her beauty—and her obedience—captivate him, and he’s determined to make her his.

Every Dom has firm rules, and Ronan is no exception. So he’ll make her an offer—one that will push her boundaries of pleasure and submission even as it challenges the line that separates Mary and Blossom. But neither of them is prepared for where his plans take them…

•••••

REVIEW:Blossom is the third installment in the Black Rose Sage by the ever-talented Helen Hardt. Like all her other series, this one has me in a frenzy of need for more. Blossom is a spicy BDSM romance filled with drama and suspense. As always, I recommend reading the series in order to get the full effect of the saga, but each book is based on its own couple.

Mary and Ronan are a really angsty couple and Hardt did a great job of incorporating their Dom/Sub relationship and how that can change. Mary is a submissive and Ronan is a Dom, their relationship sounds like it would be pretty cut and dry, but their personalities push back against one another and they both want more. So much more that maybe their Dom/Sub relationship turns into much more.

This book is all leather and love, yes BDSM but the feel of it is more romantic to me. Mary and Ronan are great as a couple, their chemistry and need for each other make them such an interesting read, one that I think HH readers are very much going to enjoy. She does, after all, give some of the best HEA’s.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 31, 2023

She’s his sweet sin…

Sweet Sin, an all-new tantalizing, romantic suspense, and the second book in the Bellamy Brothers series from New York Times bestselling author, Helen Hardt, is now available!

Ex-convict Falcon Bellamy served eight years for a crime he didn’t commit. Once he was free, he wasted no time hopping into bed with his parole officer. She was the salve he needed to soothe the demons from his incarceration and the worry for his sister who’s fighting a life-threatening disease.

But sweet Savannah Gallo has her own demons.

A member of a notorious crime family that robbed her of both her brothers, Savannah tried to leave her past behind. But a rival organization wants her, and they’ll stop at nothing. Savannah knows how to fight back, but she has an Achilles’ heel, and she’s determined to save him from another prison sentence.

Falcon is no stranger to sacrifice. He will keep Savannah out of harm’s way…and he’ll plow through anyone who tries to stop him.

••••

REVIEW:Sweet Sin is the second in the Bellamy Brothers series, and as always HH has a choke hold on me that I never want to end. You must read book one in the series; Savage Sin before reading this sweet baby, there is too much backstory, plus this book picks up when the first one ends.

Falcon “Savage” Bellamy served time in prison for a crime he didn’t do, so when he gets out all bets are off. Until Savvy throws herself into his life, and by that I mean ….”she came in like a wrecking call.” Never a truer statement. Savvy is Falcon’s parole officer, but that doesn’t stop his lusting after her. Soon enough they are tumbling away in the sheets.

With Savvy though, there is always more than meets the eye. She hides a past of secrets, trauma and pain. Falcon has been through his fair share of pain and trauma for two lifetimes, but Savvy is under his skin and he was born to be a protector, so if that has him wading into dirty waters, so be it. Even if it lands him back in the clinker.

Savvy and Falcon may have started off as a physical attraction, but their relationship quickly blossoms into something much more. Their story is one of forgiveness, emotional growth and oh so much spice. I can’t wait to see what else comes from this series.

FALCONSavannah jerks against me in the hot tub, opening her eyes, the water swishing around us.
“You okay, Vannah?”

“Yeah. I’m fine. I thought I heard something.”

“Probably just the dogs playing.”

“Right. It’s not like I could hear anything over the whirring of the jets anyway.”

She snuggles back into my shoulder and I hold her against me, loving the touch of her flesh on mine, until— She shoots her eyes open when Sydney barks.

“She’s barking, Falcon.”
“They’re just playing.”

“Right…”

But it’s not a playful bark. It’s—

I jerk away from her, standing.

You learn to sense things on the inside. You can be alone, your eyes closed, yet you know when someone is near. Someone who means you harm. It’s a sixth sense, and you can’t make it in prison without it.
And now? I feel it in my fucking bones—that ache in your marrow that helped our cavemen ancestors survive in the wilderness.

Someone’s here for me. My guns are inside the house in a safe. I’m not supposed to have firearms as a parolee, but that doesn’t matter in this moment. How the fuck do I get there, though?

How the fuck do I protect Savannah?

I glance to the only part of the pool house that has a lock —the changing room. She’ll be safe there, for now at least. “Savannah,” I say as quietly as I can over the hot tub. “See that door by the bar? It goes to the changing room. You go over there, slowly, close the door, and lock it.”

“What?” she gasps.

“Do as I say.”

“Falcon!”

“Damn it, Savannah. Do it now.”

She trembles as she steps out of the hot tub, walks to the bar, looking only straight ahead. She opens the door and closes it behind her.

Please remember to lock the deadbolt. I’m too far away to hear it click over the noise.

I exit the tub quietly, grab my jeans and stumble into them, leaving the rest. I’ve got only my fists and my wits to protect Vannah, and I don’t need the hindrance of clothes.

My hair is dripping over my shoulders as I leave the pool area, walk into my backyard.

Sammy runs toward me, but I have no choice but to shoo him away. Sydney stands by the fence, barking like a menace. She’s a mother protecting her pup, and right now that’s working in my favor.

Then I see them. Two muscled men—one blond and one dark-haired, both dressed in black—enter the backyard, both armed with pistols.

As more and more secrets are unburied from both Ava’s and Brendan’s past, they fight to find their way back together. But the obstacles are large and seem insurmountable.

••••

REVIEW:And the saga continues! The Steele Family is back at it again with the latest addition to their never ending series. As the series is so extended, if you haven’t kept up with it, it makes reading the last few books difficult. This is definitely a series you need to read and keep up with to understand, there is so so so much to these books, that there is no way to go in blind.

Destiny focuses on Ava and Brendon and their continued story together. As always, HH delivers a mind -blowing, jaw dropping storyline that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. For Ava and Brandon, it takes all heck breaking loose for them to finally come to terms with what they mean to one another, and that alone is…fabulous to read. Then there is the family drama…but with the Steele’s…when is there not family drama. More and more secrets are uncovered, bonds are tested and relationships made. I felt so much for Ava as I read more and more of this book, she always makes it seem like the world is resting on her shoulders…but that is what makes her character so good!

The way Destiny ends….just prepare yourself fellow readers, it’s a doozy. Way to got Ms. Author for another awesome addition.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 27, 2023

Falling in love…and discovering the past…

As Ava Steel prepares to help her parents, Ryan and Ruby Steel, celebrate their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, the tarot cards she draws and cryptic messages from an unknown source mar her concentration. Her life is changing…and she’s convinced her parents have kept her in the dark about something important.

Brendan Murphy sees the woman he’s fallen in love with struggling, and though he wants to help, he doesn’t know how. After all, he’s received the same messages, which may mean he and his family have some connection to the Steels. Brendan’s father thinks it somehow relates to his uncle’s untimely death at a Steel wedding half a century earlier, but Brendan isn’t so sure.

When Ava finally unburies some of her family’s secrets, she questions who she is and where she belongs, while Brendan discovers how he and the Steels may be linked. The two confess their love, but they’re still troubled, as these ghosts from the past may spell danger for everyone around them.

REVIEW:She’s back at it again with the Steel Brothers series. This is by far one of the longest running books series that I have not only read, but truly waited for with baited breath for.

Fortune takes us back to Ava and Brendan and how their relationship has progressed. For new readers, beware that this is a continuation of a very long series, and this book along with a few others starts to move on to the younger generations of the family. As always Helen Hardt delivers a suspenseful drama filled with secrets, lies, love and more questions than what they started with.

So much happens in this book, past events coming to light, new discoveries and Ava, who feels like she is stuck right in the middle without a clue of who she really is. When both Ava and Brendan start to receive creepy, unknown messages from a sender neither of them know, the families start to act differently, more secretive than ever. As the plot thickens, and more and more is revealed, Ava starts to feel that her connection and relationship with Brendan is the only thing keeping her grounded.

Helen Hardt and her crazy, beautiful mind leaves us again with a brutal cliffhanger, leaving us all screaming and throwing our Kindles across the room. Brendan and Ava’s story is full of spicy bits, loving family moments and mind gripping, nail biting secrets that readers just can’t wait to solve.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date March 28, 2023

Pulled together by long-buried secrets…

Ava Steel isn’t the typical member of her famous family. She colors her hair pink, practices the tarot, and runs her bakery in town without any help from her family’s financial fortune. She’s content in her life, and she knows who she is…until she receives a cryptic text from a mysterious stranger.

Bar-owner Brendan Murphy inadvertently became entwined with the Steel family when he dug up timeworn documents under his floorboards. When he and Ava—who, despite their age difference, he’s been crushing on for a while—receive identical enigmatic messages, they’re thrown together for more than just fun between the sheets.

Ava revels in her new and unexpected relationship with Brendan, but deep down, she fears her family is keeping secrets—secrets that could make her question everything she thought she knew about them…and herself.

•••••

REVIEW:I think this is my favorite one yet! Chance is the twenty-fifth installment in the Steel brothers saga. It is recommended to read the series in order, too much is intertwined for a reader to go in blind. Chance is the story of the Steel Families pink sheep if you will; Ava.

Ava is her own person and fiercely independent. She is one that prefers her bakery and being on her own more than anything else. That’s not saying she doesn’t love her family, she does, but she knows she is a bit more….unique than them. One day she receives a cryptic message, but what is it about, and who is it from? She doesn’t seek to unearth the many family secrets, she just goes about her life, so who is sending her messages?

Brendan Murphy, bar owner extraordinaire, got roped up in the Steel family drama when evidence was found in his building. A normally reserved man finds himself thrown into the chaos that is the Steel family, but he doesn’t mind much as he starts to develop a crush on Ava, even though they have an age difference. The pair are inexplicably drawn together, one night, Brendan finally gives in and asks Ava out, when she agrees they are both over the moon. However, when Brendan  receives a cryptic message, he and Ava both are tossed together in more than just romance, but a dangerous plot of secrets and revenge.

Like the majority of the Steel Family books, Chance will keep you guessing until the very end, HH is well known for her riveting storylines, spicy scenes and fantastic characters. Brendan takes a little bit too warm up to, and Ava is determined to live her best life no matter what comes her way. As the two join forces to uncover the clues of the messages, more than secrets are exposed. Chance is a fast paced, thrilling, quirky romance that fans of HH are going to love!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 24, 2023

What he wants from you will make you…Blush

Amanda Thomas is hopelessly in love with Jackson Paris, but he will never see her as anything more than his sweet and innocent bestie. After being virgin-adjacent for too long, Mandy is officially ready to move on. She wants to learn about hot, dirty sex, so she joins an online dating app where the enigmatic Mr. Dark promises to fulfill all of her wicked fantasies…

Jackson Paris has been keeping secrets from his stunning, too-innocent best friend—like forbidden sexual proclivities and his membership at the exclusive Black Rose Underground club. But Mandy has decided she needs an education—the filthy kind. As Mr. Dark, Jackson can safely give her a taste of what she wants—and deter her from pursuing more—without revealing his identity.

But in the dim, provocative atmosphere of Black Rose Underground, there are no secrets. Here, every wicked appetite is satisfied. And for the first time, Mandy will discover who her best friend really is…just in time to shock him with a secret of her own.

•••••

REVIEW:Blush is the first in what I hope to be a very long series. Helen Hardt never lets her readers down, and this spicy treat lives up to its name. If you don’t blush, well, have you ever really read HH then?

Mandy has been in love with Jackson for most of her life, but he has her placed firmly in the “friend zone.” Knowing that Jackson is never going to see her as more than a friend, Mandy decides she’s going to try a dating app and gain herself some experience. This action was the push that Jackson needed to finally open his eyes.

Jackson is a dominant and a long time member of a sex club. When he hears what Mandy has planned he takes her to the club in the hopes that it will scare her back into her bedroom. It does not. In fact, it opens a world of wonder for her and she wants Jackson to show it to her.

Mandy is curious and open about what she wants, Jackson not so much. You can tell that they have chemistry, and after being friends for so long, you would think Jackson would know the type of person Mandy is, however it feels like he just wants to control her. That may just be the dom/bestie in him though. Throughout the entire story, their back and forth was slightly frustrating, Jackson couldn’t make up his mind on what he was feeling, and at one point it just felt like he was leading poor Mandy around. When it finally happens, it’s a fabulous scene!

Thankfully HH is one heck of a writer and knows how to weave a really good friends to lovers romance. Overall Blush is a really good read, similar to some of her other work, but non the less a really spicy adventure. Happy reading friends!
