Thayleah has suffered so much in her short time on earth, and the trauma has left our heroine struggling with her day to day life. Meeting Koda Walker eases Thayleah’s demons, demons that are about to resurface when the past demands more from our story line heroine. Koda Walker knows loss having witnessed the murder of his parents. In an effort to protect Koda from the life of the MC, Koda is enrolled in college where everything is about to spiral out of control. Meeting Thayleah gave Koda plans for the future but or hero refuses to back down when Thayleah’s life is threatened, calling in help from the people in the Houston Defiance MC, and the family that Thayleah calls her own.

The relationship between Koda and Thayleah is one of immediate attraction but Thayleah struggles with PTSD. Koda worries about the society, and the barely veiled threats to the lives of his family and friends but no matter the protection, someone is always waiting on the other side. As Koda and Thayleah restart their lives with the Houston Defiance MC, the past returns with a message for our story line couple. The $ex scenes are intimate but limited.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including several members of the Houston Defiance MC. We are quickly introduced to some of Thayleah’s extended family in the Brothers of Blood MC of Phoenix ; Professor Vance Huntington, and his son Brady; Thayleah’s roommate Tinsley, and Koda’s roommate Myles.The requisite evil has many faces.

SECRETIVE is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, secrets and lies, family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is dark and gritty but does not read like the previous instalments due to the age and circumstance of the story line couple; the characters are captivating ;the romance is passionate. SECRETIVE ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

There is no fighting this strange magnetism that draws us together.

I want to be near him.

What is it that has me jogging after him through the library, zig-zagging through shelves and around tables and desks until we finally reach a corner of the library, I’m pretty sure only a certain type of people see—it’s a dead-end—a little nook of shelves hidden so deep you would have to purposely go looking in order to find its location.

With my free hand, my pinky finger slides along Jovie’s. It’s not a massive move, but she turns to look at me, the corner of her lips turns upward. Keeping my eyes ahead, I thread my fingers with hers, taking her hand in mine, my skin tingling and sparking with electricity I haven’t felt before. I have no f*cking clue what this is. I felt a connection with Em, which was deep, emotional, but whatever this is with Jovie, it’s not only emotional, it’s physical as well.

Like our bodies are attuned to each other.

REVIEW: ADDICTIVE is the second instalment in KE Osborn’s contemporary, adult HOUSTON DEFIANCE MC erotic, MC romance focusing on the members of the Houston Defiance MC. This is twenty eight year old, club Vice President Talon aka ‘Wraith ‘ , and twenty year old Kharlie aka ‘Prinie’’ Walker’s story line. ADDICTIVE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading book one EXPLOSIVE for back story and history. Some of the timeline of ADDICTIVE runs parallel to and over laps with Explosive-the current time line picks up immediately after the events of book one.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Prinie and Wraith) using present day and memories from the past, ADDICTIVE follows the forbidden relationship between is twenty eight year old, club Vice President Talon aka ‘Wraith ‘ , and twenty year old Kharlie aka ‘Prinie Walker. Twelve years earlier, a then sixteen year old Talon escaped a life from h*lll only to find himself struggling to fit in until the day he meets Houston Defiance MC then VP Krew ‘ Zero’ Walker who will take Talon under his wing, introducing him to the family he will come to call his own. Fast forward to present day wherein the tempestuous relationship between Prinie and Wraith reveals a prior history that is about to rain h*ll upon our story line couple but a police raid on the Houston Defiance compound finds Zero taken into custody as the MC members struggle to make sense of it all. With Wraith now the temporary President, our ‘anti-hero’ must take command in an effort to free his friend before there is no life to be freed. What ensues is the building but forbidden relationship between Prinie and Wraith; Wraith’s struggle with demons of the past; and the battle to protect the MC president from the fall-out of a vendetta years in the making.

The relationship between Prinie and Wraith is one of second chances; a forbidden romance wherein Wraith battles the demons that threaten to destroy the woman he loves, and an ‘addiction’ and need to punish anyone who gets in his way. The $ex scenes are disturbing and intense-with emotional and dark scenarios of erotic asphyxiation.

Once again there is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters, most of whom are members of the Houston Defiance MC: Club President Krew ‘Zero’ Walker and his old lady Rayne aka Cherry: Zero and Prinie’s younger brother Koda; Phantom, Liam aka ‘Kevlar’, and his brother Ethan, Fox and Bub, Texas, Neon, Chains and Chills (Dr. Rebecca), and their son Kobe, as well as prospect Luc, and his girlfriend Ruby, and attorney Finley Knight. The requisite evil has many faces.

ADDICTIVE is a dark and gritty story; a heart breaking and emotional tale of a young man whose life was destroyed by the very people who should have loved and protected him. The premise is controversial and dramatic; the characters are broken, struggling, battered and survivors; the romance is energetic and raw.

Zero is a man who was bred and born in the Houston Defiance MC. A guardian at heart, Zero is all about protecting ‘Cherry bomb’ but past betrayal comes with issues of trust that threaten any happiness with a recovering Rayne. Leaving the Chicago MC, and joining the Houston MC are Chains and Chills (Dr. Rebecca), and their son Kobe, as well as prospect Luc, and his girlfriend Ruby. Wraith and Prinie’s story line is next in ADDICTIVE.

I start moving toward the exit. My chest heats so fucking much it’s like I’m on fire. I don’t know what the hell’s happening right now, but having Rayne in my arms, knowing while I’m holding her, and no fucking person in the world can touch her, it has my body flaming in adrenaline.
This woman is bad news.
Real bad fucking news.
Her eyes linger on me as I walk with her from the bedroom, down the hall, and outside to the waiting van. Having her right up against me like this is not doing my cock any favors. She smells like peaches and fucking sunsets.
How the fuck can someone smell like a sunset? It’s like I’m going out of my damn mind right now.
She’s invading my senses as I help her inside the van, placing her in the rear seat.
“I don’t understand why you’re helping me?” Her eyes lock onto mine.
My protector mode rears its head yet again as I lean over her grabbing at the seat belt to pull over her. Our faces come in line with each other.
Rayne scrunches up her face, reaching for the seat belt. “I can put on my own seat belt.”
I jerk my head back as she removes it from my grip while trying to gain control of the situation. I pull it back from her and click it into position. “I’m sure you can, but I need to ensure you’re taken care of. Can’t get you out of this situation and have you injured on the way into the club because you’re not buckled in properly.”
Her eyes widen. “There are so many things wrong with what you just said. One, you think I’m incapable of something as simple as doing up a seat belt. And two, you believe your driving is so bad I’m going to be injured on the way to wherever it is you’re taking me?”
“That’s not what I meant—”
“Then you need to think about how you word shit, ‘cause you’re coming across as an arrogant ass.”
I glare at her smug, insolent, beautiful face. “You have an attitude problem, cherry bomb.”
She snorts. “And you think you can control me because I get beaten up by my husband? He might walk all over me, but you…” she tilts her head smugly, “… not so much.”
Hmm. She has a feisty side.
I lean in closer. Her eyes widen, and her breathing hitches. She’s affected. “I like your fighting spirit, Rayne. You are a wild one.”
She leans in closer, we’re only an inch apart, the smell of peach surrounds me. It takes every ounce of strength I have not to rush forward pressing my lips to hers. My eyes stare into her incandescent emerald green eyes, they’re so alive, so alight with fire. She has so much fight in her. As she licks her bottom lip, my cock twitches when she whispers, “You ain’t seen nothing yet.”
A low hum vibrates from my chest as I exhale, backing away from Rayne slowly.
