ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 27,2024

“Ollie, I’m afraid I’m going to have to ask you not to scream.”

HER

We met by chance at a random dive bar.
Him – a striking figure in a tailored suit who radiates dominance.
Me – an awkward introvert, innocently stalking my father.

He seduced me.
Worshipped me.
Then, in a blink, he vanished, leaving no trace—not even a name or number.

HIM

I wasn’t supposed to see her again.
We were never meant to meet in the first place.
But here we are:
Her – half asleep after passing out at work.
Me – caught sneaking into her family business in the middle of the night.

She has no clue who I am—that I’ve just settled into a ruthless birthright position within the Italian mafia. Or that her family legacy plays a role in my illegal activities. But I have a feeling the dead body at my feet might bring her up to speed.

REVIEW: REMY by Eden Summers is a contemporary, adult, dark, Mafia romance story line and the tenth book in the author’s HUNTING HER world. This is Remington ‘Remy’ Costa, and Olivia ‘Ollie’ Pelosi’s story line. REMY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Remy is Abri’s brother (BISHOP #9).

NOTE : Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Remy and Ollie) REMY follows in the aftermath of something Olivia Pelosi was never meant to see. Olivia aka Ollie works for her father’s funeral home, doing the make-up for the recently deceased but a late night at work ended with Olivia coming face to face with her future, in the guise of  Mafia man Remy Costa, the man with whom Olivia would fall in love. Remy’s appearance at the funeral home meant something else was going on, and another interruption revealed the truth when Olivia confronted her father about the who, how and why. As Remy’s late night excursions to the funeral home were becoming more frequent, Olivia would find herself caught up with the Mafia, and the darker side of the criminal underworld. What ensues is the building but tempestuous relationship between Ollie and Remy, and the potential fall-out as the man in charge threatens to permanently push Olivia out of Remy’s life.

The world building follows several intersecting paths. The Costa family is currently at war with the Mexican cartel, and Remy has declared himself the ultimate cleaner, involving the Pelosi family at the heart of their funeral business. Not only has the Mexican cartel taken aim, but the Irish Mob is not targeting our story line hero.

The relationship between Ollie and Remy begins acrimoniously when Ollie discovers the truth about Remy’s late night visits to the funeral home, visits that threaten the business if the truth is revealed. Needing to keep an eye on Ollie, as well as protecting the woman with whom he will fall in love, Remy finds himself guardian and protector of the woman who could destroy it all. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Bishop and Remy’s sister Abri return for a cameo appearance as well as his brothers Matthew & Layla Langston (Seeking Vengeance / Ruthless Redemption/Hunting Her 7 & 8), Salvatore, and uncle Lorenzo. We are introduced to Olivia’s father Carlo Pelosi, and her co-workers/friends Ivy and Skylar. The requisite evil has many faces.

REMY is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, family and relationships, forgiveness, acceptance, loss and love. The premise is dramatic and intriguing; the romance is seductive; the characters are determined and dynamic.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 7, 2023

In a moment of weakness I sent out a cry for help—one that was answered by my estranged brother’s right-hand man.
A murderer.
A butcher.
He storms into my life with his expensive suit pockets full of sedatives and cable ties in case I don’t approve of his form of protection.
Let me assure you, I don’t.
But when my world falls apart and I have nowhere else to go, I’m forced to escape with him.
To an isolated house.
Just me and him.
Alone.
And it quickly becomes clear that the monstrous people I’ve been afraid of are nothing in comparison to the man in the room next door to mine.

REVIEW:BISHOP is the ninth instalment in Eden Summers contemporary, adult HUNTING HER dark, erotic, Mafia romance series. This is Bishop aka The Butcher, and Abri Costa’s story line. BISHOP can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Bishop and Abri) BISHOP follows the building but acrimonious relationship between Bishop and Abri. Bishop is the right hand man to Abri’s eldest brother Matthew Langston, and collectively the pair were once known as the Butchers of Baltimore but Matthew and his brothers are about to embark on a mission of murder and vengeance, and Bishop has been tasked with protecting our story line heroine, a protection of which Abri wants nothing to do. Abri Costa has been forcibly working for her parents Emmanuel and Adena for as long as she can remember, and this night, Bishop is about to curtail and effectively stop all of Abri’s assignments including the one in progress but Abri is desperate to complete her mission, a desperation that Bishop finds disturbing and wrong. Keeping Abri a virtual prisoner means learning the truth about a woman who is spiralling out of control but a woman desperate enough to risk her own life for the lives of the people she loves. What ensues is the building but tempestuous relationship between Abri and Bishop, and the potential fall-out as their time together has an expiry date, and Bishop walks away without looking back.

The world building continues to focus on the crime world of the Langston/Costa family. Matthew, and his brothers Remy and Salvator have implemented a plan to take down the man in charge in doing so, Abri’s inability to get the job one threatens someone close to her heart.

The relationship between Abri and Bishop begins as an assignment. Abri refuses to remain Bishop captive but Bishop suspects there is more to Abri’s story than he could have ever imagined. Bishop struggles to remain neutral in the face of his attraction to Abri but the heart wants something it shouldn’t. Giving into temptation not only threatens Bishop but our heroine as well. Threats against Abri means Bishop will take matters into his own hand, continually earning our hero the moniker of The Butcher. The $ex scenes are passionate and aggressive but I dislike the use of a certain four-letter word.

The secondary and supporting characters are dangerous, powerful and psychopathic in nature including Abri’s mother Adena, a mother with questionable parenting skills, as well as her mother’s driver Aaron Geppte. We are reintroduced to Abri’s Uncle Lorenzo, brothers Matthew & Layla Langston (Seeking Vengeance / Ruthless Redemption/Hunting Her 7 & 8), Salvatore and Remy Costa. The requisite evil has many evils.

BISHOP is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, murder and blackmail, dysfunctional family and relationships, acceptance, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is gritty, complex, detailed and heart breaking; the romance is emotional and intense; the characters are broken, captivating, determined and desperate.

••••••••

REVIEW:COLE is the sixth and final? instalment in Eden Summers’ contemporary, adult HUNTING HER erotic, romantic suspense series focusing on a tight knit group of illegally connected friends. This is the continuing story of crime lord Cole Torian and, FBI agent Anissa Fox’s story line. COLE should not be read as a stand alone- Cole and Anissa’s story started in book three TORIAN. I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as there are several recurring and ongoing themes throughout.

SOME BACKGROUND: Approximately two years earlier Penny Decker , Sebastian Decker’s sister (Decker #2) disappeared and had been held captive in Greece, as a sexual slave along with several other women, by crime lord Luther Torian. Luther Torian is the estranged father of Cole Torian (Torian #3 & Cole #6) and Keira Torian (Decker #2). In book four SAVIOR, Penny, along with the other women were rescued and brought back to safety in the USA but trouble has followed everyone home.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Cole and Anissa) COLE continues to focus on the acrimonious relationship between crime lord Cole Torian and, FBI agent Anissa Fox. Cole and Anissa’s time together in Greece found our couple at odds upon their return to America. Anissa was working undercover but in the end, Anissa remains an FBI agent, and struggles with her attraction to a man who could end her career, and her life, without hesitation. Cole Torian fell in love with our story line heroine but battles between head and heart knowing her allegiance to law enforcement, a fellow Agent, and the history of Anissa with one of his men but all is for naught when two small children with connections to their ‘family’ are abducted, and Cole is forced to make a decision to save the children or his relationship with the woman he loves. What ensues is the building but tempestuous relationship between Cole and Anissa, and the potential fall-out as Cole must come to terms with the woman he loves, and Anissa must choose between the future and her past.

Anissa Fox knows that to get involved with Cole Torian would mean the end of her FBI career but the heart wants something it cannot have, and in this Anissa continues to push away the man with whom she has fallen in love. To complicate matters, Anissa is seen as a liability by Cole Torian’s men, a liability that is better off dead, and buried along with the ‘family’s’ other secrets. Cole Torian wants Anissa Fox at all costs including the respect of the men he commands but the abduction of two young children has prioritized Cole’s current timeline, and in this Cole refuses to have any more deaths placed in his hands.

The relationship between Cole and Anissa is a sexually charged, palpable, impassioned affair fuelled by Anissa’s back and forth, up and down reaction to our story line hero. There is another man after our heroine’s heart, and in this Cole’s jealousy threatens all semblance of control. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters including all the previous story line couples: Luke and Sarah (Hunter #1) Decker and Keira (Decker #2 Luca and Penny (Savior #4 & Luca #5), Benji and Layla, and their daughter Stella; Cole’s brother Tobias, as well as Mafia head Emmanuel Costa, his sons Salvatore and Remy, and his daughter Abri.

COLE is a story of family, betrayal and vengeance; power and control; relationships, friendships, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is action packed, tense and intriguing; the romance is seductive and fated; the characters are strong, energetic, dynamic and lost. COLE ends on a happily ever after-for now- but the author leaves the story line open ended and the announcement of a spin off series with cameos from some of the Hunter Her characters.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 23, 2020.

Luca dragged me from hell and delivered me to salvation.
At least that’s what I thought.

I hoped this would be a new life. A fresh start.
But the pain followed.
I’m certain the monsters did, too.

I’m told it’s paranoia. Trauma. PTSD.
Nobody believes my truth.
But they’ll soon learn.

We all will.

Because as much as I want to forget the mantra from my nightmares, it hasn’t stopped being true.
The good guys never conquer. Evil always wins.

••••••••••••

REVIEW: LUCA is the fifth instalment in Eden Summers contemporary, adult HUNTING HER romantic suspense series, and part two of Penny Decker and ex Navy SEAL Luca Hart’s duet. LUCA should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up after the events of book four SAVIOR wherein Penny and several women were rescued from a sexual slave operation. The story ARC begins in book three TORIAN.

SOME BACKGROUND: Approximately two years earlier Penny Decker disappeared and had been held captive in Greece, as a sexual slave along with several other women, by crime lord Luther Torian. Luther Torian is the estranged father of Cole Torian (Torian #3) and Keira Torian (Decker #2). In book four SAVIOR, Penny, along with the other women were rescued and brought back to safety in the USA but trouble has followed our heroine home.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Luca and Penny) LUCA focuses on Penny’s recovery from months spent serving a monster but all is not well in Penny’s life as she continues to struggle with PTSD and issues of trust. Currently under the care, and living at the home of Luca Hart, Penny remains withdrawn and unsure, unable to move beyond the pain and damage of what happened or why. As Luca’s attraction to Penny grows with every encounter, Luca battles between head and heart knowing Penny has suffered greatly at the hands of Luther Torian and his second in command Robert. What ensues is the slow building romance and relationship between Luca and Penny, and the fall-out as Penny and the women remain virtual captives of their past but a past that is continuing to affect their present.

Penny Decker believes she is unworthy of happiness or love, and her personal pity parties often become self-fulfilling prophecies as she is unable to move beyond the past-two steps forward, one step back- our heroine‘s emotional struggles, and refusal to talk, are affecting her relationship with our leading hero. Luca Hart’s attraction to Penny was immediate upon their first interaction at the compound in Greece but Luca refuses to cross the proverbial line, a line Penny is hoping did not exist.

The relationship between Penny and Luca begins in book four SAVIOR and continues to build in the current time line. Living at Luca’s house, Penny busies herself cooking and cleaning but is unable to let go of what happened in Greece believing herself a victim of circumstance and life. Luca knows Penny is the woman that calls to his heart but even his heart knows that Penny is going to take time to heal. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Cole Torian and Anissa Fox, Sebastian Decker and Keira Torian, Luke Hunter, Cole and Keira’s half-brother Tobias; security operative Sarah; Luca’s brother Benji, and Benji’s wife Layla. The requisite evil has many faces.

LUCA is a story of betrayal, vengeance, and obsession; healing, relationships, friendships and love. The premise is engaging and captivating; the romance is seductive; the characters are energetic, dynamic, broken and lost. LUCA ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

•••••••

REVIEW:  SAVIOR is the fourth instalment in Eden Summers’ contemporary, adult HUNTING HER dark, erotic, romantic suspense series, and part one of Penny Decker and ex Navy SEAL Luca’s duet that follows the rescue of Penny Decker, and the take down of a sexual trafficking ring. SAVIOR can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for back story, history and cohesion as there is an interconnected plot line throughout.

NOTE: SAVIOR contains scenes that may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Penny and Luca) SAVIOR focuses on the rescue of Penny Decker, the sister of Sebastian Decker, and the woman with whom Luca will fall in love. Eighteen months earlier Penny Decker disappeared and has been held captive in Greece, as a sexual slave along with several other women, by crime lord Luther Torian. Luther Torian is the estranged father of Cole Torian (Torian #3) and Keira Torian (Decker #2), and as such the siblings know a thing or two about the need to take down their father and the men he has working and controlling his business.

Penny Decker is a strong willed young woman but a woman left vulnerable by the abuse and torture by Luther Torian. With the arrival of her would-be rescuers Penny struggles with issues of trust, PTSD, and the knowledge that abusers hide behind secrets and lies. Believing herself broken, and an embarrassment to her family, Penny is reluctant to leave the hellhole she has called her prison for eighteen months. Luca’s assignment, along with the other members of the team, is to find Penny Decker, and take down the man responsible for destroying so many lives but Luca never expected to come face to face with a woman that would call to his heart.

The relationship between Luca and Penny is that of victim and rescuer; an immediate attraction that does not go unnoticed by Penny’s brother Sebastian Decker. There is no romance or love, there is only the knowledge that Penny and the other women have been defenceless against a monster who will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters including Cole Torian and Anissa Fox, Sebastian Decker and Keira Torian, Luke Hunter, Cole and Keira’s half-brother Tobias, their father Luther Torian; several other captive women, and the men who live to torture and abuse.

SAVIOR is a dark, gritty and raw story of betrayal and vengeance, and the dysfunctional dynamics of the Torian family, and the legacy imparted to the vulnerable heirs. The premise is heart breaking and astonishing; the characters are broken but strong, tragic yet impassioned.

Following the arrest and subsequent escape of Luther Torian, Special Agent Anissa Fox finds herself drugged and a virtual prisoner of Luther’s son Cole Torian. Hoping to put an end to his father’s control, and his uncle’s legacy, Cole sets into motion a plan to take down the monster he once called father. Anissa Fox struggles with her place within the FBI.
